At this point, I would post -5 stars but yelp insists that I post a positive number of stars. I was looking forward to paddle boarding with my friend this Saturday morning, and I LOVE to support women-owned businesses. We signed up, were sent reminder e-mails-at least 2- and they charged our credit cards. We arrived this morning and were sitting outside of Gate F in the Richmond Marina at 8:45 am before our 9 am paddle intro. lesson (the recommendation was to arrive at least 10 min. before your lesson). We waited outside gate F. Fifteen minutes after our lesson was scheduled to have begun, we were still waiting outside Gate F so we called the number on the web-site for 510-waterline. No answer. Over the course of the next 45 min., we waited outside sitting on the cement walkway, checked our phones and e-mails for messages to explain why no one was there to meet us, and called Mara's number and Jess' number and left messages when no one answered. Finally, after waiting for over and hour without any text or e-mail to let us know why we were left waiting without a lesson that we had paid for, we decided to leave. At 10:01 am, an hour after our lesson was supposed to have started, I received a text that says, "apologies, we had a scheduling mix-up this morning. Would you like to reschedule or prefer a refund." Apologies?! A mix-up?! I received at least 2 reminder e-mails from you. You charged my card for the lesson. I drove an hour on an early Saturday morning for this lesson. I sat outside for another hour to wait without any messages, and you text me one hour after the lesson was to have begun with, 'apologies, schedule mix-up, and you will reschedule or refund'. If this had been my business, I would have had someone answer at least one of the phone numbers listed on your site, and I would have called and said, "I'm sorry and let us make this up to you because you are another human and I value you." I received the refund for the lesson. I am so disappointed and feel entirely disrespected. read more
