Love this place. My baby was diagnosed with torticollis and was referred here by our doctor. They seem to be a part of Los Gatos Orthopedic Sports Therapy but split out to focus just on kids. Everyone is very nice and friendly from the receptionist to the physical therapist. Abby is so knowledgeable and helpful. She knows how to handle and take care of babies. She is very good at exploring my baby preferences and remembers what my baby likes and don't. The session is one on one so we have the entire floor and don't need to share it with any kid. PT is tough for even adults, let alone babies/kids. So please be patient and give them time to get along with each other. Your baby will cry, mine did a lot. I'm ok with that as I know she is growing and pushing her limit. No matter how good the PT is, your baby loves YOU and loves to interact with you the most. So it would help a lot if you get up and help the PT during the exercise such as calming your baby down, talking to him/her, etc. I know we paid a lot for the PT to do their jobs, but at the same time you also want to get the most out of your money right? read more

Our youngest son was diagnosed with torticollis (also known as wryneck) when he was about 6 weeks old. Kris Nakaji, who has done incredible work with our older son, helped resolve our younger son's case of torticollis in a matter of just a few months. She worked with him multiple times each week and sent us home with practical homework assignments such as setting up play spaces to encourage him to turn his head in the other direction, working with him on a yoga ball, distracting him with toys to move his head where it needed to move, etc. We were so impressed by how quickly our son recovered: he soon developed full range of motion and has not had any issues since. I brought my daughter into this office right after she was diagnosed with torticollis, I was actually able to get an appointment the same day. I didn't meet with either of the therapists that everyone mentioned in the other reviews. My daughter cried nearly the entire hour and our therapist wasn't actually able to do very many exercises with her. She offered to spend the next few sessions allowing my daughter to warm up to her. This reaction is rather unusual for her so I wasn't keen on spending so much out of pocket money allowing her to build rapport. The price they charged me was double to triple what I expected to pay, when paying for the therapy session in cash. I did find great value in the information the therapist offered to me in the session and in the follow up email. Based on the lack of immediate rapport, personal cost to me to build it, and inability to actually participate in any therapy for the session, I decided not to continue. This would have been a 4 star review at this point. The office must have called me six or seven times trying to get me to sign up for more sessions and took it upon themselves to get my doctor to prescribe therapy for their office as well. This is the reason I removed an additional star. It was very reminiscent of an ex who needs closure and just keeps calling. read more

My son has been seen at this clinic for almost three years, starting at age 5. We go 2-3 times per week so we've spent hundreds of hours here (my son has a mild but permanent disability). I wouldn't spend this much time or money if I didn't feel it was worthwhile. This is the fourth facility we've tried and these guys are definitely the best, even compared to the Lucille Packard PT group at Stanford. We've seen all of the therapists at Kids Perspective over the years. They are all kind, knowledgeable and very good at keeping my son engaged with his therapy even after all these years. Since starting here, my son is actually starting to catch up to his peers instead of falling steadily behind. And we know this because they do thorough annual assessments that show us exactly how he is developing. Their facility is well stocked with toys and apparatus. They don't schedule a lot of kids at once and so we often have the therapy room to ourselves. They have worked very hard to make sure our insurance continues to cover the treatment despite the insurance company's best efforts to cut us off. If your kid needs help developing gross motor skills, I highly recommend this group. They are caring, capable and very effective. read more

Kris has been treating my son for hypotonia and torticollis since he was four months old. As a first-time mom, having a child with special needs is very scary. But I am so glad that I came to Kris first. I have seen other physical therapist through my child's journey but Kris is by far the best. Even my nanny was very impressed when I brought her one day. She commented on how thorough and professional she was. First starting off with a complete thorough evaluation to be able to measure his progress. She challenges him, but yet knows when to back off. I know without a doubt my son has made the leaps and bounds he has over the years directly from the therapy that he's received at kids perspective. My daughter was diagnosed with torticollis at 7 months. Initially, I tried to find a Pediatric PT within my insurance network. We went to one appointment. Though that PT was nice, she spent much of her time running around gathering paperwork for me to take home. She didn't offer any stretching and only showed 2 exercises for me to perform at home. The neurologist my daughter saw recommended we come to Kids' Perspective even though they were out of network. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Kris has been amazing. Kris utilizes every minute of the hour appointment to work on my daughter. Often times, if she doesn't have an appt after us, she'll work extra even if she knows the hour is up. She won't waste any of the valuable PT time on paperwork rather taking her own time to send us home programs for us to review and ask questions at the next appointment. In just six weeks time, my daughter's neck is almost all straight and her spine is now almost all straight too. Kris is warm, professional, diligent, thorough and just so good with kids. She's constantly adding new equipment/toys to encourage the children to perform the exercises. It is an amazing experience. The staff is also very pleasant and professional and tries very hard to work with your schedule. I highly recommended this place. read more

We brought my son to see Kris for his torticollis starting when he was 6 months old. He was pretty much a blob who laid on his back and had a head tilt. Kris whipped him (and mostly us) into shape immediately. She did a great job first assessing him and then starting us on a rigorous treatment plan of tummy time and neck stretches. She has helped him through all of his major gross motor milestones of pushing up, army crawling, crawling and finally walking. His head no longer tilts. We owe it all to Kris for pushing us to do what was needed to help our son. She is great at explaining the science behind things, giving exercises to do at home, and working my son's butt off during our sessions. I never felt like a minute was wasted. Even when my son got old enough to protest, she was still able to make the most out of our sessions by either showing me what to do or by switching things up to make my son more comfortable. We also saw Melissa a few times and she was wonderful as well, very knowledgeable and super sweet. You can trust Kids Perspective with your tiny little infant, they are experts at handling kids. The only negative is they are no longer in network with Blue Cross insurance. But I only had a few sessions left so I was fine paying out of pocket cuz they are worth it. read more

We love Kris!!! My daughter was referred to Kids Perspective when she was almost 4 months old for torticollis. Kris has always been very thorough, utilizing all of our session time working with her on her needs. Kris explains things very clearly and answers all of my questions so that I fully understand the answer. She's also quick to get back to emails when I would have questions that came up after our session. My daughter is almost 15 months and getting ready to graduate from physical therapy. Kris Nakaji from Kids' Perspective is a really caring and effective physical therapist. She has been working with my special needs daughter ever since NICU discharge at 5 months old. My daughter is 3 years old now and is walking, jumping, running, and climbing everywhere. We never thought she would be able to even walk because of her cerebellum damage. Rebecca at Kids' Perspective has been my son's PT at the school district for the past 3 years. My son is 6 year old now. I looked for additional after-school PT, but it was very hard to find an in-network therapist accepting kids who needs PT for neurological reasons. I tried PT at two other places but chose Kids Perspective at the end even though it was not an in-network provider. We went there for about 6 times at a cost of $125 per visit. Overall, their office was bright and spacious. The front desk admin was friendly and helpful. She always called to remind me the appointment the next day. Both PT, Rebecca and Lianna, at Kids Perspective were good. The activities that they designed were stretching but reachable for my son. They kept him busy for the whole hour. My son would not be as good as today without PT. However, he has not made enough progress to thrill me either. Rebecca is still my son's PT at school. My twin daughter was diagnosed with torticollis at 2 months. I turned to Yelp reviews after a confusing first visit with a supposedly experienced PT that was repeatedly contradicting herself while trying to teach me exercises. Thank goodness for Kid's Perspective - Kris is absolutely fantastic. First, she is passionate about raising awareness about torticollis amongst pediatricians because early treatment is so critical. She is up to date on the current literature on treatment plans and the links between torticollis and other issues that might arise as a result of positional preference - some of which present early and some of which only present at school-age. She is extremely professional - does a thorough and detailed initial examination of the whole baby, has dedicated clean toys for each child + the area thoroughly disinfected between children's visits, hundred of toys and activities for entertaining babies and children, and yet she is focused on getting the stretching and exercises and really encouraging my daughter to work her neck muscles. (My daughter sleeps for 2 hours after her work out!) As if that weren't enough, the initial written assessment and treatment plan that she wrote is updated each week with progress and additional exercises that we do at home. It is rare to see this level of attention and extra work beyond the session time from a therapist. My daughters progress has been incredible in a few short weeks. Finally, the team there is familiar with insurance plans and will take on the task of submitting claims and reimbursement adjudication rather than leaving you to pay out of pocket and submit yourself. Thank you, our family is thrilled and just wish that her twin brother had a reason to go too! She is outpacing him! read more
