This is not a five star facity Upon admission, we were informed that my mother had a contagious infection and should be placed in a private room due to infection-control concerns. Despite this, she was initially placed in a room with another resident. This raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of both patients and whether proper precautions were being followed. The quality of daily care has also fallen far below expectations. My mother has repeatedly been left cold and unable to obtain an extra blanket when requested. She has experienced significant delays in receiving assistance after soiling herself, often waiting far too long to be cleaned and changed. Staff frequently tell her they will return "in a minute" only for hours to pass before anyone comes back. Basic requests such as a clean drinking cup, water, and ice have either been denied or delayed. On one occasion, she was told she would have to wait until breakfast the next day for a clean cup. These are basic necessities that should never be difficult for a patient to obtain. Communication has also been a major challenge. My mother often has difficulty understanding staff members, and there are frequent situations where she does not understand what they are saying or they do not seem to understand what she is requesting. This has created frustration and confusion and has made it difficult for her to have her needs addressed in a timely manner. Most concerning, she does not appear to be receiving the level of rehabilitation services necessary to help her regain her strength, mobility, and independence. Families place their loved ones in rehabilitation facilities with the expectation that they will receive attentive care, effective therapy, and treatment with dignity and respect. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. I hope facility leadership takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements to patient care, communication, responsiveness, infection-control practices, and rehabilitation services.

Years of physical therapy and injections had failed me. The vibe in the office is amazing and healing. I was wt up with Anthony and he was wonderful. He immediately went to work with the machine, made excellent use of my time (unlike my PT in the past who left me waiting for 30 mins while she made a finger splint in the back, charging me $500 for one visit and the finger splint only lasting a month). After about 7 treatments (and seeing Lauranne while Anthony was away) I am finally better!!! I've been telling everyone about this place. They can treat a number of other ailments. Thank you Laurane and Anthony for healing my thumb!! You've been amazing! Amarjit

I have seen Laurann over several visits now and she has worked with incredible foresight to get to the root of the problem. Her knowledge of the tissues is unmatched. She is by far the best hand therapist I've ever seen in my life. Shockwave therapy is also offered at her practice and was very helpful for my injury. I give her and her team my highest recommendation and wouldn't hesitate to refer any family or friends to her practice. Thank you Laurann and team for all your dedication and support for the community and hands you have helped heal over the years !

He loves to write but struggles with fine motor skills and was recently diagnosed with dysgraphia. Karina has been working with him over the past 6 months on his letters and numbers, and he has really started to improve. He was starting to get frustrated and discouraged before starting to work with her. I've been really impressed with the variety of tools and techniques Karina uses, as well as the way she handles my son's behavior. She manages to find a balance between firmness and fun. Over the time since he was diagnosed, we have gone through several OTs and behavioral therapists, and not many of them had this special balance. It's also super convenient that she comes to our place, and brings her own box of stuff. She also has shown me some great exercises to improve my kiddo's core strength, which will also help him with fine motor tasks. I really appreciate her expertise, professionalism and thorough communication. Karina is truly a gem!

Leaving a one star review only because I can't leave a zero…read more We had a horrible experience at Woodlands when bringing my grandpa here for rehab after his 3 month hospital visit. We were deciding between multiple options for rehab, and ultimately picked Woodlands because of the amazing reviews it had. However, there was not a singular positive experience that I could share. My grandpa got released from Good Samaritan Hospital with a strict diet plan and placed into rehab to gain his strength back. The first night the staff talked to us for over an hour asking questions about diet, exercise, medication and etc. We explained how he is strictly on a thick liquid, sugar free and small piece/ground food diet and must be monitored when eating due to his HIGH risk of aspiration. We come to check on him the next morning and see a plate of whole pasta pieces, chunks of honeydew and orange juice placed in front of him, which he was eating alone. Our over an hour conversation was clearly a waste of time as the staff did not listen to us at all. We experienced this situation multiple times. Helen would call multiple times, not even an hour apart, asking what his diet consists of, to not even listen and serve him whatever they had that day. The nurses would take my grandpa out in his wheelchair to stroll around, and one night as we were all visiting, one of the nurses brought him back to his room and we realized how he was disconnected from his oxygen tank. My grandpa went 10 minutes without an outside oxygen source and the nurses only came to help after we had to scurry looking for them, as they clearly did not realize themselves. My grandpa's breathing started to sound crackly and raspy, making us think he aspirated again. As we urgently requested to Helen for a doctor to come and check on him, she kept telling us how the doctor is busy but on his way for about an hour. She then proceeded to tell us how calling 911 might be a better idea. As we rushed him to the ER, we were told he aspirated and had to stay in the hospital again for another 2 weeks on antibiotics in order to heal. Woodlands caused my grandpa to go back to square one, ruining all the progress he made in the hospital. It's hard to see how so many people had good experiences at this rehab center, when for my grandpa it only caused him to get worse. I truly wish we did not bring him here in the first place, as it only weakened and damaged my grandpa further. It's sad to see nurses not care about an elders well being, and not be more prompt in this environment.

The nursing staff was there when needed and provided medication timely Administration and social work ensured I had what I needed at home when I was released and gave me some resources as well moving forward By far the stand out for me was the therapy department. They pushed me but not too much just motivating enough with new challenges daily. They always got me up and into therapy every week day - usually didn't have therapy on weekends they were also so caring and seemed truly invested in my recovery The food wasn't for me but that's just my personal taste. Woodlands is large with amenities but definitely run like a small nursing facility and very family feeling. Having had to be in other SNFs I am very aware of how important it is to have that feel and staff support. Many don't do the things they claim but woodlands does the therapy to get you moving again and gets you your meds on time and ensures you get move so as to avoid pressure sores and that sounds like a low bar but it is vital and isn't always the case They have layers of support with cnas available when needed, lvns, and nurses so your needs don't get missed. I'm sure they could use more staff but as a patient I never felt like they were too busy for me

AWESOME WOUND CARE FROM GOOD SAMARITAN HOSPITAL CLINIC. Four-6 YEARS AGO…read more I received amazing help from an Indian wound specialist doctor at Good Samaritan Wound care clinic. I wish I has her name. The original doctor (a male plastic surgeon from O'Connor Hospital) that closed a necrotic sore (deep open sore) without doing a biopsy of it to see if there was an infection inside, caused me to end up in emergency with a blood infection. His buddy another plastic surgeon at El Camino Hospital, with gray roots showing from his badly dyed hair apparently had received a call from the plastic surgeon that caused infection telling him that I was on antibiotics and should be fine not needing any help from the emergency department. that plastic surgeon that caused my agony, the elder doctor with the gray roots was trying to release me from the ER. My insistence on being kept in the hospital and have a lab test of the infection done, while refusing to go home until they found out what was wrong with me, and why I was shaking with a fever from a wound that had pus coming out of it resulted that I had a life-threatening blood infection from that surgery.
