They have an easy appointment process; comfortable waiting room and very friendly and helpful check in staff. I tried them twice and was kind a bit disappointed with the overall physical therapy. I expected more hands on with my knee issues instead ice and tasks to do at home. Pranika who helped me at the first time was super nice and attentive, but I expected more than I got. This review is about the iMotion PT service at Timpany Center, on the SJSU campus. First, Cathy has been our scheduler/main contact. Since she came on the scene, everything is doing great! She's well organized, thoughtful, good at planning, flexible and super friendly and professional (there are always going to be some difficult clients in a PT practice, so this matters!). The PTs are also great: Sharmila, Joe, and (boss Barkha) are the one we know best. Having worked with PTs in the past, we are very happy with the regular introduction of new exercises, the way they always track the details of my progress, and their understanding of the complications from balance, neural and vision issues. I always know I can trust them to make sure I'm all right. This helps my confidence as I push forward. read more

iMotion Physical Therapy is by far the best physical therapy outfit that I have used, and I have experience with multiple physical therapy places over time. No one even comes close. I had total knee replacement surgery a year ago. Laetetia, my physical therapist at iMotion Physical Therapy Los Gatos, has been exceptionally helpful and effective- first getting me ready before surgery with strengthening routines, and post surgery methodically improving my strength, balance and flexibility capabilities. I could have stopped when I was able to walk and hike freely again , but Laetetia motivated me and adapted my routine so that I have now resumed playing tennis, something I gave up years before my surgery and never imagined I could ever resume! I highly recommend Laetetia and iMotion for anyone needing a significant rehabilitation. I can not thank them enough! read more

This place is WONDERFUL! I found them through my insurance co (so thankful they're in network). They have 3 locations. I chose the location with the aqua pool therapy since I fractured my knee. What a healing experience in the pool! Pratik offered a free webinar to help reduce one's shoulder pain. That's when I discovered they offer aqua therapy. I have been a patient at IMotion for several months. They are in Lis Gatos off Samaritan Drive. From inception I was treated well by the owner Pratiq. He and his excellent staff are well-trained, ambitious, and very personable! Before Cov19, they would refer me to Timpany Center (near SC valley Med) for water therapy, too! It is still closed, unfortinately. I found Imotion to be the BEST in PT eval and care! I've gone to many PT BUSINESSES, but this group is so excellent, I took time to write this review to help other patients to find a best solution to their orthopedic problems! Be very careful with iMotions billing. Their physical therapists are okay - one that I worked with is very good, one was ok. But their billing is a different story. Before signing up, I checked with my insurance. They said that Omega Sports Rehabilitation was in network. So I sign up for a session. When I go there, they call themselves iMotion but there's also a sign that says Omega Sports Rehab. I'm a little concerned so I take a pause after two sessions. When I get the bill, I see that I'm billed under iMotion which is not in network. After working with my insurance company for a couple of months, I get a new bill, again from iMotion, and now a higher amount. At this point, I pay the bill but I certainly have no intention of going back there again. read more

Please read through the end. While the care I received from the therapists was satisfactory, iMotion Physical Therapy's billing department operates ILLEGALLY! I received care from iMotion from November 2021 to February 2022. Over the new year my insurance had updated, however iMotion continued to charge my old insurance. I was never informed that the claims to my insurance were failing and I never received a bill! The first time I hear of this is when I received a call from Subha Seetharaman on April 15th 2022. She starts telling me that I do not have insurance and that I need to pay the cost of care for 2022 upfront and immediately over the phone. I tell her I do have insurance and ask that she note down my info and process a claim through my insurance. She refuses and says she will only take my insurance info AFTER I pay. Due to naivety on my part, as I recently had gotten on my own insurance and was still unsure about process, combined with the overwhelming pressure from Subha, I paid iMotion over $600 and ask Subha to take down my insurance info. Instead she hangs up the phone. I have to call her multiple times until she finally sends me an email address to send my insurance info to. The call occurred on a Friday. By Monday I've realized the whole situation was outrageous and suspicious. I call iMotion to figure out what had happened and how it was acceptable to take my money before going through my insurance or providing me a bill. (NOTE TO EVERYONE! MEDICAL PROVIDERS CANNOT CHARGE YOU WITHOUT SENDING YOU A BILL. WHAT IMOTION DID TO ME IS ILLEGAL) They were extremely unhelpful, Subha particularly being the worst offender. She hangs up on me repeatedly and I have to get my insurance involved and file a claim myself since iMotion could not be trusted to do so as the clinic supervisor Kashmira even claims it might be too late for them to file a claim. In order to file a claim myself I need a bill and tax/informational codes from the provider. Again iMotion is unhelpful, defensive and rude. They would not give me the information I needed and when my insurance called to request the same info Subha HUNG UP ON THEM! Finally my insurance was able to pry the info from Subha and I was able to file my claim on April 18th. Due to a family emergency I did not check back on the claim until last week (July 2022). I find out my insurance paid iMotion out on April 29th and that iMotion cashed the check on May 12th and were supposed to refund me the money I paid. They had been holding on to my money for TWO MONTHS at this point. Not once was I notified. When I called the billing department to find out what was going on with my money I was once again met with Subha's rudeness. She tells me I have to wait till the owner, Pratik Shah, is back from vacation (he apparently left the same day I called) as he is the only who can approve refunds and that she'll call me when he's back and hangs up the call. Every-time I call back to follow up they send me to voicemail or hang up on me. After three days of calling I am finally able to contact Subha's boss Timothy Hall and he pedals me the same excuse. I had to threaten to complain to the state medical board for Tim to finally approve and send me my refund on July 15th 2022. iMotion has staffed their billing department with incompetent, pathetic and despicable individuals who made this entire experience stressful and difficult to navigate. Learn from me and educate yourself on your medical rights; and take your business literally anywhere else as it is not worth the headache of dealing with this abhorrent institution. This place is a heaven send! The staff are extremely knowledgeable and do an amazing job at providing a personalized and tailored approach to recovery. I have been suffering from an injury that occurred a few years ago that I was convinced was a hernia. After consulting with my primary care doctor and doing the necessary tests, we determined it was not in fact a hernia, and I was referred to do physical therapy to address the pain. I protested, as I was extremely skeptical that was all that was wrong or was needed. I have had the pleasure of working under both Michelle and Colleen, who have both done a great job of listening to me as I described my issues, and also following up with extremely insightful information to assist me in my path to recovery. Their ability to listen combined with their intricate knowledge of our body and musculature goes a long way in developing treatments. Michelle has some amazing hands when it comes to adjusting and massaging sore points, her targeted motions and strong fingers really have my muscles and tendons moving the way that they need to. In a few short weeks I have seen enormous relief and have become a true believer in the power of physical therapy. Pratik at iMotion is my magic shaman as I call him because he can fix ANYTHING on my broken-down body. I've had knee pain, lower back pain, injuries and strains and chronic pain like plantar fasciitis and he's helped me recover, and given me the tools to avoid the injuries in the future. I just keep finding new injuries for him to fix. His staff is great as well in both locations. Getting thru to a live person when I call is probably the only difficulty I've had. read more

Imotion is AMAZING. Definitely got me back on my feet as quickly as possible. Since the last 5 months I was having trouble running because of discomfort in my calf, which steadily got worse. I asked my doctor (in uk), but he said it would probably go away. Eventually, during my internship in US I completely broke down, and was diagnosed with a grade 3 calf strain. A friend recommended me to Pratik. He started me off slowly, for six weeks while my muscle healed. After that his exercises got steadily more difficult and challenging. It's been 3.5 months since I started with I motion and I am officially able to play at the level of sport I was playing at before. Apart from the medical aspect, I was also thoroughly impressed with the holistic care that was given. During my appointments I always felt that Pratik made sure he was truly focused on me as a patient. His witty comments, jokes and professional attitude made me feel more like a friend, rather than a patient. I was definitely very happy with imotion. read more

I came here to rehabilitate my knee after having surgery for a torn meniscus and was very happy with the results. I spent a total of about 3 months at iMotion. Everyone takes a different amount of time to recover and the owner Pratik knows what exercises you need to accomplish your goals. iMotion Physical Therapy was amazing to me; and I only stopped going because I got a new job with coverage that doesn't include their establishment. Kashmira was my therapist and worked wonders!!! I have experienced other facilities and therapists but none were as tough yet caring as this one. They assisted me through my darkest times and helped me see the light at the tunnel when I didn't think there was one. The people here are knowledgeable & pleasant, but I'm taking off three stars because (1) the parking lot is small & difficult to maneuver in, (2) there is only one elevator, and it is very poorly maintained. You don't want to go to this location if you have difficulty climbing stairs because the elevator is often out of order, and their office is up three flights of stairs. And (3) Pratik is always multi-tasking, checking his e-mails while he works on you, which to me just feels downright rude. I admire him for how hard he works, but he's trying to do too much if he is not able to give his patients his undivided attention while he is with them. I won't be going back. read more

Pratik, Coleen, Joe, and the rest of the staff here are great! I have a difficult time finding health care people who treat me like a human being instead of an insurance ID card number. I've been to many hospitals, ERs, clinics, surgery centers, etc... At iMotion these people actually listen to you when you are talking. Along with them actually paying attention, their knowledge and feedback is exceptional. These people care about their job and care to do it the correct way, and it shows. I don't normally take the time to write reviews (I normally don't even login to complain on reviews let alone write a great review) but Pratik and his practice are a few steps above the rest in my opinion. Yes the facility may not be brand new, and the parking IS tricky (theres plenty of room in the lower parking garage to the right, under the actual building) but manageable. All in all this is a great place for physical therapy and I already told Pratik I will be heading back for a different issue very soon! read more
