Both times the problem had been ongoing for more than six months, and both times treated ineffectually by a sports doctor. I am a Fibromyalgia and EDS patient. My doctor recommended to me Cathy who is an expert in dealing with EDS patients. She has been super friendly, kind and always looks for a way to help. Dealing with EDS & Fibromyalgia is not easy. Cathi always takes effort to help me understand what life practices I should inculcate ( be it posture corrections, home remedies, providing good referral for other issues that I have etc). I went to Bill Fields last year for physical therapy for neck pain. I am back this year for knee pain and he immediately diagnosed me with Valgus deformity. Once he showed it to me, I could see it myself! Why this had never been diagnosed before in all of my 71 years I do not know, especially since I have seen two different doctors for my knee pain in the last month! I am very happy with the treatment I have received at Fields in Motion and all the staff is extremely professional and kind. Highly recommend! read more

This place is really wonderful. Everyone who works here is super friendly and happy, which makes me happy. These people really love what they do and they are hard at work trying to help heal pain. I was very skeptical about trying physical therapy, since I've had less-than-stellar experiences in the past, but this business has been the only thing that has improved my pain. They remember your name, they ask how you are doing, and they deeply care about trying to find the best solution. The physical therapists here have truly empathized and listened and brainstormed with me, compared to other doctors who definitely don't make me feel seen. They are well experienced and thoughtful. I was referred to Field in Motion by my doctor for my frozen shoulder. Unfortunately I had procrastinated in going and by the time I saw Alison for the first time I had pretty limited mobility in my arm. In the three weeks I have been going I have really noticed a great improvement in my range of motion. The sessions can be quite uncomfortable while she is "gently" stretching my arm but are definitely helped by Alison's great sense of humor and interest in each of her clients. I am amazed how she remembers things we had chatted about the weeks before and always remembers to ask how. Her sense of humor while testing the limits of my range of motion and discomfort help in my reaching the maximum benefit since they are both pleasant and help in distracting from only focusing on my arm. Her technique is smooth and gentle but definitely firm enough to get the job done. Alison is a wealth of information concerning my shoulder including exercises, stretching suggestions, do's and don'ts and explaining what has happened and how she is trying to reverse it. The office is clean, well lit and comfortable set up. I appreciate the reminder calls before each appt and their willingness to try to accommodate schedule changes when needed. Though I know regaining my full (or mostly full) range of motion will take a bit more time I am pleased that time will be spent in such a comfortable setting. read more

Fields of Motion is the bestl!!! I would give them 10 stars if I could because they (office, aides, therapists) treat their patients like family. From the start, they worked through my insurance and have been flexible with my scheduling needs. Their premises are comfortable, clean and spacious. Words can't express my appreciation for Cathi Fields, my wonderful physical therapist. Several months ago, I suffered injury, significant pain and limited mobility on my left side from a serious car accident. During our initial meeting, while inquiring about my accident, Cathi did a thorough evaluation and discussed a plan for rehabilitation. Cathi's extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Most importantly, she is warm, caring and genuinely interested in healing her patients. Each week, Cathi provides me with deep, gentle, messages and stretches to alleviate my pain and tightness. Although I still have a ways to go, thanks to Cathi's customized therapy, suggestive do's and dont's, and at-home exercises, there's been a noticeable improvement in my pain levels and range of motion. I am always encouraged and feel stronger emotionally and physically upon entering and leaving Fields in Motion. No definite office hours .. calls backs are 1-2 days late ..bad response times ..unless you call to follow up . Aint nobody got time for that .. I'm calling the next PT on my insurance list . I am in need of a therapist that focuses on EDS. When I called to schedule my initial appointment they were book 3 weeks out. This isn't a shock and is pretty common, especially with only 1 therapist that focuses on it. When I tried to book this appointment, someone that called me back didn't know how to use their office calendar and book the appointment, nor did they know where to look for my doctors referral. Unfortunately, when I showed up to my first appointment, they did not have me on the schedule. No apology, just a shrug and couldn't book me out for another 2.5 weeks. I just completed some treatment with Alison and she was fantastic! I was referred to PT by my primary care physician for some pain in one of my knees but the exact cause of the pain was not clear. Alison did a very thorough history and diagnosis before starting treatment. Prior to beginning treatment I had stopped playing golf because of the pain. Now I am back to playing golf and pain free. Alison figured out right away that I needed to strengthen not only my knee but also my hip. Her treatment and the exercises she gave me were challenging but never too much. Ten years ago I was treated at Fields in Motion by Bill for PT after hip replacement surgery. I was back to work in three weeks and he was also fantastic. Fields of Motion is awesome. I started working with Bill several weeks ago after re-injuring my lower back Again (it's an old injury). He's been very personable and conveys a bunch of knowledge each visit. He also tactfully got me to 'slow my roll' when he sensed my overzealous enthusiasm after a week of improvement. He probably saved me from injuring the opposite side, which has happened in the past. The rest of the staff is also good and the facility is clean and inviting as well. read more

This place is great! Unlike other offices, they were willing to walk me through their program for rehabbing my torn ACL. Then they let me sleep on it and decide if their program was right for me. Right from the beginning they were engaged and proactive in helping with my insurance, customizing the rehab program, and accommodating my busy work schedule. One of the many things I've appreciated is that the owner is very involved. Unlike others where they pass you off to assistants after your 2 or 3rd visit, Bill has been actively involved for the entire 8mo's of rehab. Also the facility is very clean and well maintained. Referred to Fields in Motion by my doctor pre and post cervical epidural shots for 2 bulging discs in my neck. I had Bill as my therapist for a few visits. Going to Fields was a complete waste of time and money! Bill did not want me to do any type of exercises or stretches for my neck even though my surgeon wanted me to. Bill did not want to tell me his course of therapy pre and post shots. Bill would do 10-15 min if ultra sound then 10-15 min of manual "massage", all while telling me of how his son was going off to UCLA next semester!(I wonder who is paying for that!), then hand me off to an assistant. The only good thing was that Bill was very flex in accommodating to your schedule. I will never refer someone to Fields. I am very proactive in my recovery, I don't want to spend months in pt. doing nothing. read more

Cathy is awesome! I came to her with spasms in 6 different locations. She worked with me and I made huge improvements. Then, after a point I wasn't getting any better, she suggested I talk to Dr Nezhat for a possible case of endometriosis. I had it! I bounced from a PCP, to Chiropractor, to Yoga with no relief and Cathy helped me! She is a magician as far as I am concerned! The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. They work with you on a personal level, you aren't another chicken on the conveyor belt! So if you are in pain, do yourself a favor and checkout the folks at Fields in Motion. Fields in Motion is a fantastic Physical Therapy practice. The whole team works as a well oiled machine and is flexible and accommodating with scheduling, and each appointment runs smoothly despite being a busy (good sign!) practice. Cathi Fields is my Physical Therapist and did a fantastic job correcting my lower back from a decade old injury, as I prepared to complete one of the hardest 100 Mile Mountain Bike races in North America, the Leadville 100 in Colorado. Cathi not only directly addressed and corrected the lower back issue, but also shared a wealth of information around body mechanics that not only ensured I completed my race, but that my whole body was in great shape for this race.
