I use pain relief pads, balms, massage, and elevate regularly. I hobble like a 90+ broken person and wince in pain all day everyday. I went to see Christine last night and had one 45 minute session. She did cold laser and some massage and tonight is the first evening that my feet have not been on fire with pain. I don't know what the cold laser does but I'm ready to buy one for my personal use! It's been over 24hrs of light pain and I'm so thankful for it.

The medical team that operated on my…read morefracture sent me on my way with a bunch of medical terms that didn't make sense to me, opioids that did nothing for pain, and a list of possible PTs that I could contact. That is when I met Christine. I came to Christine with screws and a plate in place, a weird brace on, and extremely afraid to move in case anything "breaks," and I had to be operated on again. I was in pain, anxious, stressed, and had barely slept for 3 weeks since the fracture occurred. The first thing I noticed when I entered her office was the sudden drop in anxiety, and the calm -- and I had not even met her yet. When I did see her, we had an honest chat about the state of affairs. Since the moment I broke the bone, she was the first person to speak "human" to me and help me make sense of what'd happened, the recovery plan, how long it could take, and ways to get there. Over the next few months, with her attention to whole-body health, patience, and expert understanding of fascia, bones, and all things movement and balance, my elbow joint was not only healed but also straightened and strengthened to its original state. Each visit, she would assess progress and chat with me about my current expectations before developing a treatment plan for that day. Thanks to Perfect Balance Physical Therapy, I have a full range of motion, and it is as if the accident never happened. I had heard stories of how people walk around with bent elbows for the rest of their lives after a severe injury like the one I had. Christine's gentle persistence, rather than forcing exercises on me, helped heal the joint more quickly than it would have! Absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a gentle specialist who works with you in achieving optimum health and speaks human!

I never felt rushed during my visits and I felt like my homework assignments were exactly what I needed. Also, her POV about how the pelvic floor affects the rest of the body was insightful; she spoke in depth about it that I've never head at other clinics. She truly is a Bay Area gem as it's one of her specialities. If you're serious about finding someone that can address body pain that's related to posture, sitting all day at work, or/and pursuing hobbies like martial arts or powerlifting, then please give Denise a visit! Also bonus, she's has a great sense of humor!

I noticed very soon that the personalized care and attention I had received from Denise was something that not many PT clinics do these days (and certainly not any of the clinics associated with the big hospitals). She was kind enough to not only treat my condition through directed massages, suction therapy and stretching/pilates routines, but also engaged with my personal trainer to ensure that I got the right kind of workouts. At this time, my pain has all but gone away and (more importantly) I got into the habit of doing my PT routines everyday for long-term wellness and pain management. This is a PSA for all the techies who are used to slouching over a laptop and not actively working on spine mobility - please reach out to a good physical therapist who is willing to give you the personal time and attention needed to ensure a good quality of life. A little now would go a long way! Thanks Denise for guiding me on this journey, cheers!

I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis since September and decided it was time to get some help. This place had great reviews and I was feeling positive. I made an appointment weeks in advance (they are very busy) and was looking forward to it. The day of my appointment someone calls and tells me my assigned physical therapist cannot make my appointment. I was disappointed because I was so looking forward to it. She offered two appointments the next day at times I just couldn't make (I work in a school). I explain this to her, and she said "I'm going to need a few hours to for you in we are just that busy". I said ok no worries and she said she'd call me back. That was over a week ago. I reached out to the first person I had set up the appointment with~no response. I'm disappointed because I was hoping that this would be the place that could help me be pain free. Edited to add: someone did reach out to me after I posted this review, I got both a message and a phone call. I have found another place that I am trying, but appreciate the communication.
