The legos/ duplo blocks section was also another favorite of my son. The party was strictly 2 hours - one hour to play and the other hour was for eating, cake and some dancing. The young staff was very friendly and interacted with the kids very sweetly. I was a little upset for the momma hosting the party that she was unaware that there was a birthday party immediately following hers, which caused overcrowding when we were trying to park in the parking lot. She was also telling us that the pricing and what was offered didn't match what was previously discussed. I hope she was able to sort everything out afterward, but we didn't feel rushed in any way. Party rooms were color coded and the bathrooms were right outside so there was nothing to worry about there. For children with SPD, there are strobe lights and they play loud music when they were doing freeze dance, so just be aware beforehand. Owner Shannon was so helpful and patient when we were choosing what class would best benefit Benjamin (new to gymnastics), as well as explaining class costs and scheduling. The Little Gym is always spotless; I frequently see staff cleaning in between class times. The gym has a restroom, a water station, some gym attire for sale, and seating for those watching their little gymnasts in class. The Little Gym has an enormous viewing window (an entire wall), and the gym maintains a comfortable air temperature. Ben has trained with four coaches since we began class. His larger class (up to 18 students at times) maintains a safe ratio of instructors to students every week. Coaches Megan, Eva, Jeremiah, and Lindsay are a dream team. Organized, professional, safety-conscious, and caring, they are teaching my son so much. Not only is he learning a foundation for gymnastics, he is demonstrating better discipline and confidence in and out of the gym. Best of all, he has so much FUN every class! Due to NYC restrictions, they were only able to accommodate 50 people. I asked them for a discount since I had to cut my guest list, but they denied me. They told me that people were still booking their venue with the same rate and I said, "yes because they are aware of the 50-ppl cut off, but I booked this venue BEFORE COVID hit." Then, I asked if they can provide free decor, they said no that I needed to pay for it. They were not easy to work with AT ALL. The day of the event, one of their green backdrop decor was there and even though I bought my own, I said if it was available, I will use it. They said it was being used for another party - but they moved it to the bar area instead!!! So, because I didn't rent it, they just moved it by the bar area instead of letting me use it?? How petty? After screwing me with this contract as it is, they couldn't let me use a decor that was NOT being utilized? They are so money hungry and need a lesson in customer service. I booked the venue from 11AM-6PM. I was not allowed to decorate prior to 11AM but they started kicking out my guests at 4:30PM to set up for the NEXT party. Why are they setting up for the next party on MY PAID TIME? On top of that, their workers were moving around high stacks of chairs with toddlers running around. How unsafe is that? My guests felt bad for me and was angry with how the party ended. I wanted a nice first birthday for my daughter, especially going through this rough year with my husband (who is in healthcare) having to move away from us for 5 months. This party was the unnecessary stress that I did not need on top of everything else. It ended with people feeling bad for me. I will never recommend using this venue to anyone. I am giving them one star because their venue is pretty spacious. Other than that, I am extremely disappointed.
