WORST DAYCARE MY SON HAS EVER BEEN TO! after reading the reviews from years ago I thought maybe things have changed. I was wrong. The first month of my son being there was okay. The problems began when they started to make it seem as if my child was an issue. They would call everyday about the littlest things that normal kids do. Stating he wasn't safe to be around the other kids, he doesn't listen, etc. mind you my son is 2 years old, this is his 3rd daycare and only this one has said these things. They even offered therapy saying he had a behavior problem. I went though with it because I knew nothing was wrong with my child. After doing the therapy the therapist even stated the problem WAS THE DAYCARE. The owners are rarely ever there to actually sit in on a class and try to work with my child. All the teachers there are under 24 years old and have their own kids there as well. They run from class room to class room. It's really a sh*t show. They would send my son home in other kids clothes even UNDERWEAR WHICH IS DISGUSTING. After noticing that my son had on someone else underwear I asked them could they not do that again they lied and said they were brand new. I've sat outside the classroom and watched from the inside the kids do whatever they want. There's no real structure. When coming to pickup my child I would always be sitting waiting atleast 30 mins for them to bring him out and he never had on what I brought him in. Face dirty asf and they don't help him properly wipe his butt. They honestly need to be looked at more by the state cause this is unacceptable. I've been calling for the last week trying to get the rest of my sons belongings and they claim they can't find them. The irony. read more

Worst childcare institution I have ever encountered. The staff is very mean and shrewd and my kid does not like the counselors. I will never be taking my child back to this business again. I highly recommend that you don't as well if you love your children. read more

Pulling our child out of this daycare was the best decision we ever made. Parents, if you feel like something just isn't right, then it probably isn't. They kept our son in the "two's room" despite the fact that he was 3.5. They claimed that there was no room in the preschool room and used the fact that our son was not yet potty trained as an excuse also. I found it odd that our son was almost fully potty trained at home but he CONSISTENTLY came home from daycare in pull-ups (sometimes not even his) when I had sent him to school in underpants. During his last week there he came home with BM dried all over his bottom and the beginnings of a diaper rash. The daycare teacher must have seen that when she changed him out of his underpants and into the pull-up (that happened to be a girls pull-up and two sizes to small) but chose to ignore it. Conversely, he was completely accident free after four days at his new preschool. We haven't had to buy a diaper since leaving Kiddie Kampus. They also started trying to convince us that our child was having behavior issues - yelling at teachers, throwing things, being rough with the other kids, etc. They repeatedly tried to push us into seeing a therapist for "sensory issues" and insisted on keeping a journal on our child's "behaviors". We had him assessed by the Early Intervention program through the school district and found no problems. This was not good enough for Kiddie Kampus. Our pediatrician also found no issues, stating that he is just being a normal 3yo. Still, they kept asking us what our next step would be. In the meantime, there was still no room in the preschool class and our son was obviously unhappy having to stay in a class that was not age appropriate for him. Our next step was to have him professionally evaluated for ADD/ADHD. This test also showed that he had no issues. Our last straw was when he came home with the dried BM on his bottom. At this point we decided that the obvious answer was that the problem was not with our child but with Kiddie Kampus. They advertise themselves as a "learning center" but there is not much of a curriculum. It's all very loose and unprofessional without much structure. We pulled him out immediately and found a new daycare where he is thriving. He is in a classroom with an amazing curriculum and children his own age and there has not been one report of a "behavior" since leaving Kiddie Kampus. We are super disappointed with our experience at Kiddie Kampus. Their customer service is so poor that there wasn't even a follow-up call from the director to see why we suddenly pulled our child out. If it was my business, I would have definitely called the customer to find out what had gone wrong and why they were so dissatisfied. Edited to add: Kiddie Kampus (Stephanie P.) - Your reply is obviously passive aggressively bashing my parenting but it actually assists me in illustrating what kind of place you run. I got plenty of "help" for my child - who didn't actually need any help at all. I never met or spoke with Stephanie P. (the owner, apparently?) even though I made NUMEROUS requests to speak with her or for her contact information. She knows NOTHING about my child or the situation I wrote about above. She never tried to contact us or reach out to us. I would be HAPPY to show her the horrible and inappropriate things that were written about my child in the "behaviors" notebook that they kept on him. I went off the great google reviews when I chose this place. Since I live in Minooka there is only one daycare to choose from, and it's not somewhere I would ever leave my child. KK is in Channahon, so I was worried I would have issues getting my daughter to school. They said no problem, and the owners said they would personally drive her to school each day. She would cry each day I dropped her off. My daughter was late 6 times when finally her school called me to let me know. Her school....not Kiddie Kampus. I was furious when I found out, and all they did was say they didn't think it was a huge deal to let me know and that they have other children to drop off in the morning too and her's was furthest away so sometimes she was late. IT DOESN'T MATTER. When you say you are going to drop someone's child off and that it is no problem, then it should be no problem. You shouldn't agree to something if you cannot live up to it. Either way, there are two owners, so perhaps they should have split the routes so children were not late to school. My daughter was embarrassed each day when she had to go to the office, ask for a note, and then be escorted to class late. Unacceptable. In addition to that, the center was supposed to open by 6am and on several occasions I was late to work because they were late to open the facility. read more

My sons (4 and 1) both go here and I LOVE it. Every teacher is friendly and warm and give me thorough descriptions of my boys days, if anything happened, how they are progressing with certain tasks (I.E. transferring from a bottle to a sippy) The Brightwheel app gives me updates throughout the day and occasionally gives pictures of my babies so I can see them while I'm at work. Every teacher in the infant room (Ms. Allie, Ms. Meagan, Ms. Amanda) have made dropping my baby off a little less traumatic. My youngest loves Allie so much that he rarely cries when I leave him. He is a tad on the clingy side and no one has ever complained about having to carry him around for a large part of their day. My older son has gone through the infant, 2's, preschool and Pre- K room and has learned SO MUCH! Their preschool programs go beyond what other schools in the area that I have researched go through. I recommend this daycare to everyone. read more

Sending my 8 month old baby to daycare was a huge ordeal for a first time VERY ANXIOUS mom like myself. I interviewed a few different daycare facilities and with each one I went into I had a bigger and bigger knot growing in my stomach. That was until I walked into Kiddie Kampus. The facility was so clean and every room I went into was spotless. The teachers were very warm and welcoming and you could just sense that they were very attentive and loving just as a mother would want a person caring for their child to be. My son is almost 4 years old now and choosing Kiddie Kampus Learning Center for him to attend while I am at work or at school has been without a doubt the best decision I have ever made. Not only have the teachers gone above and beyond to show that my child is properly cared for they even send me videos and pictures throughout the day showing my son smiling, laughing, learning, and playing. Anytime I had a," first time mom freak out moment" and called or popped in to check on my child.... all of my worries have always been put to rest when I talked to his teachers or saw how well they were taking care of him. With the help of KKLC I was successful in potty training my son in just 3 days when he was 2yo! I went to them with my potty training plan and they were very excited and happy to help with that process. One day my son came home singing the full ABC's song which at that point we hadn't even really went over that yet and even now every day my son comes home singing a new song or counting or grabbing his books and wanting to read it truly blows me away. The teachers and the owners (who I have talked to on numerous occasions) are truly the most amazing and caring people I have ever met and I feel so blessed that I found my son's home away from home. I would highly recommend Kiddie Kampus to anyone needing child care. read more
