The bad reviews on here make me sad! But many are from 2+ years ago! Leslie, the current director, and her team at Crest Hill are AMAZING! With all the kids that come in and out, Leslie knows them all by name and the parents! Due to covid, we have to drop at the door, but she never even has to ask me who I am there to pick up. She knows and cares about my son! My son and I were in a building fire the summer before he started preschool. Everyone evacuated safely, but it left my son very anxious about fire detectors, alarms and extremely nervous in those situations. Leslie and his teachers take extra care to keep an eye on him each month they have fire drills. She sends out a notice to all families about the drill and then PERSONALLY emails me about how my son reacted to the drill! With the support and compassion of his teacher, he seems to be letting go of that anxiety and fear during fire drills. I know that is due to their continuous reassurance and support. I can't thank them enough for not only teaching my son, but giving him a safe and loving environment when I am working. It gives me piece of mind to leave them in their care and he always has the biggest smile on his face when I pick him up! He shares about all the fun things he did each day our entire ride home. What once was a wonderful daycare, turned in to a place we no longer felt comfortable sending our son to. My son has a physical reaction to a certain food, the daycare was aware of it. We made note of it in his folder and made sure all the teachers knew not to give him the food as it gives him an extremely painful and instant diaper rash. We had 3 separate occasions after having the note in his chart made he was fed the food, each instance giving him severe and painful diaper rash. Unable to handle normal 2 year old behavior. Safety and health concerns as my child was able to access a bathroom unsupervised and access the toilet. They mentioned not putting a lock on the bathroom due to "it being one more redirection they would have to do with the children" They're teachers, it's what they're supposed to do. Teach children what's okay, and what's not, and also ensure the safety of all their students. Effectively terminating my son's care from their facility due to "behavior". No warning, no adjustment period, no referral to another daycare. His care ended the same day they told me they were canceling care. I attempted to email the owner to get answers, and instead of answering questions, they beat around the bush. After I left a negative review I was threatened with legal action from the owner if I did not remove said review. read more

I have had my son at Little Learners Crest Hill location for about a year. He has been developing well and has a great relationship with his teachers. He is excited every morning when I drop him off and comes home with all kinds of fun art projects. He is learning new words as well as sign language. The curriculum is nicely laid out and communicated. I've had a great experience would highly recommend! read more

My daughter has been going to this school since September 2022 and I can already see a great difference in her behavior. She loves her teachers (Miss Amanda, Miss Mahalia and Mr Jordan) and always wants to go to school. The classrooms are always clean. I would recommend this school. read more

They don't even deserve 1 star. They are scam artists. Beware. I received state aid and they would lie to the state and tell them my son attended more days than he actually attended to receive more money. Then weeks after I took my son out of their care, they tried to tell me I owed them a ton more money. I have spent months trying to work out how it is possible to owe them money when I paid every payment and received state aid. Not only that, but 2 months after ending our contract while in constant contact with them trying to go over all of this, (I put in the appropriate 2 weeks notice and paid all of my tuition and our contract had ended) They tried to charge my card without any authorization and are now trying to charge me an extra $35 fee on a payment they had no authorization to charge. I have multiple statements where they have changed the cost and changed payment amounts. I even have a statement showing they over charged days to the state. I will be reporting them to the state for fraud and contacting my attorney to handle them trying to charge my card without authorization. The staff there are very nice but the owners only care about a paycheck, they do not care about the kids. read more

This place is terrible. If it allowed me to give 0 starts h would. At first we were pretty optimistic and confident in this facility. We did a tour while I was still pregnant and registered our son shortly after to save him a spot in the infant room when my maternity leave ended. Two weeks after he started the original director was let go. During that same time period I went to go pick my son up one afternoon and he was sleeping in a crib on his stomach. He couldn't even flip himself over at this point. So he was placed in there like that. With SIDS being a concern I was furious. Again, wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Not too far into October I went to go pick up my son and noticed he had a bruise under his eye. A black eye basically. I asked the teachers in his room what happened. Nobody knew. I found that odd ? An infant came in with no marks and now has bruising under their eye and nobody questions it ? I asked to speak to the director because I was furious. I think any parent would be. Two of the teachers were on break so she could t give me an answer at that time. She said she would play back the cameras but it would take some time. She then reached out a few days later and had no answers for me. So really all you are telling me is my child is being neglected and more than likely bumped his eye on a toy or got hit by another child with a toy and not a single person noticed or questioned a bruise. At that point I was offered to put my son in the other infant room. I thought great I won't have to worry. But because they combine rooms in the mornings and evenings, he was landing with the same neglectful teachers who couldn't tell anyone what happened. Within less than a week time span after that I had to sign 3 safety incident reports. I was told his pacifier cord wrapped around his neck on the phone, he was in a bouncer and they didn't remove his pacifier clip so it was stuck on a toy while he was jumping scrapping against his neck, had his pacifier on a play mat (why? I have no idea. It's full of germs and a 6 month old won't have that in their mouth laying on their stomach) so his head dropped on it and he had bruising on his inner eye. Then he was in a bouncer and he was rubbing his head on a toy (probably because he was over tired) and had red marks on his face. I am not an unrealistic mother , kids play and sometimes get bumps or bruises. But these are babies. I don't think this is Normal. Especially after speaking to tons of parents I know who have their kids or have had their kids in daycare. My son has been sick since he has started attending there. Again, daycare kids get daycare germs. But you can see the dirt on the bouncers. And then seeing pictures uploaded with my child on a play mat with his pacifier on the ground. It makes a lot more sense to what could be prevented. There were multiple times myself and my husband would pick up and drop off and the student teacher ratio we were presented (4-1) rarely would be the case. I actually had to adjust a child who was sitting in a Bobby pillow but then had scooted out of it and was laying on the mat and part of the floor just screaming the one day because there was one teacher to 5 babies and she was changing one of their diapers. They will have children who are clearly too old to be in the specific classroom because it is the child of one of the teachers. After just having enough I asked to give a one week notice. I was declined to not have to pay for the second week of the notice by both the director and the owner even after all the chaos which had taken place just in the short time we had attended this place. To me my child's health and safety was more important so I paid it and have removed him. I would highly suggest doing your research and speaking to other parents before attending this place. read more

I am in graduate school studying early childhood education and I did some observation hours in the toddler room at LLCA. I would absolutely recommend this center to parents looking for childcare. Facility is clean and spacious. Staff is amazing with kids; always patient, kind, positive and respectful. Children follow their little routines to a tee and have so much fun! I couldn't believe my eyes when the teachers got 10 toddlers to sleep in about 15 minutes. The meal they were served was healthy and looked delicious (pasta with red sauce, fruit, veggies). We enrolled my son in the 4 year old preschool classroom and had a horrible experience. the following things happened in the two weeks he attended.. -my sitter was NOT carded upon picking my son up from the daycare the first time. - once I became concerned, 45 minutes of watching on the monitor at school consisted of the teacher (new) cutting at a table with her back turned to the kids. The kids were yelling at each other, hitting, etc. no redirection was given at any time. - not one art project/ note/ Anything send home in two weeks.. When I told them we we're done and wanted half of my money back, th they told me to write a letter stating why I was leaving. We did, and after numerous emails trying to get ahold of them for our reimbursement, I finally called the school. The secretary Roxanne, told me that I would NOT be receiving my refund because they spend my money on school supplies. Ummm what? I never received nothing from you that involves a school supply. I was hung up on when i asked to speak to the owner. When I called back, the owner finally got on the phone. She was very rude and told me she new nothing about a "letter" and that she never even read it. Guys, this place is horrible. Please don't send your kids there. read more

I loved the Crest Hill location when we first started but it has really gone downhill in the past year or so. The leadership at the center was great when I first started, but when a director was replaced by a friend of the owner it went downhill. She has no bedside manner and in my opinion has no business working with children and families. I realize that a daycare is a business but some amount of care for families and employees is also required when working with children. During the constant turnover of management staff my account wound up charged incorrectly and discounts I was told I'd receive for having a second child at the center was taken back by ownership. The teachers at the center cared greatly for my children and it's unfortunate that they're not appreciated and management doesn't care. Many of the great teachers wound up leaving the center as well. Stay as far away from this daycare as you can as all they care about is the bottom line and not their staff or families. read more

Love, love, love this daycare! I, like many working parents, was very apprehensive about enrolling my son in daycare and so I did a lot of research on places. This daycare is always clean, and the ladies working there are the best. I would highly recommend them. My 2 year old has been there almost a year and he is learning so much already and is becoming very social. I can't say enough good things about them! read more

So my 5 month old daughter only been here for a week and a half and I already have a lot to say about this place. Only how they conduct business I have a problem with. I was recently terminated from my job therefore don't need the daycare anymore. Well I paid ahead before I was release from job not knowing I would get terminated right?? Well, I ask them for a refund for the week my daughter wouldn't be attending, they handed me the handbook stating they need a TWO WEEKS NOTICE that I'm leaving the daycare....like it's a job or a rental property or something. That's fine but my daughter attended the daycare for literally 8 DAYS ONLY! I can see if she been attending for weeks or months but no we're new. She just started. Now I would've LIKED to come back for when I do become employed again but how they're handling this situation is unforgivable. OH by the way I also reach out to the owner by email MYSELF and she has YET to respond. Although this place may be convenient for you like it was for me because of distance, don't waste your money on this place until they know how to handle parents with care. Better off picking a daycare close to your job than this place from what I'm experiencing. I love Little Learners Children Academy because the staff there are wonderful with my son and I feel 100% comfortable knowing my son is in good hands while I'm at work!! I really like the preschool feel there and teaching my 2 year old a beneficial curriculum. read more
