Love Kiddie Academy!! My grandson loves his "school" and in essence it is school because he's learned so much. His language skills (comprehension/expressive) have come so far. He's learning to interact with his friends and be part of a group. All of those pre-k skills like colors, shapes, the alphabet, numbers, etc are part of the curriculum. Yes, there is a curriculum, this isn't babysitting. The facility is appealing to kids, the staff has always been friendly and also good about keeping us informed as to how his day went. Can't ask for more in quality care for your child. That peace of mind is huge. read more

MY REVIEW WAS DELETED SO I AM POSTING A SECOND TIME! My children were enrolled for about 18 months at this facility before Dad and I decided to unenroll them indefinitely. The very first day they arrived, upon picking them up my son had marks all on his arm as if he was bitten several times. I brought It to the attention of the front desk and they managed to calm me down and reassure me they would review the cameras - they never did. As a parent, I should have trusted my intuition and removed them from this facility that very first day. My son would come home and tell us that his teacher, Ms. Amanda, didn't like him so we requested a classroom change with Ms. Jezera who was absolutely amazing. My daughter had a consistent revolving door of teachers; her nose would be completely crusted upon pickup as if she wasn't being tended to. Jezera and her sister Jasenia, who later became my daughters teacher, as well as Ms. Brittney are easily the only teachers in the entire facility that I trusted with my children. Once my son aged out of Ms. Jezera's class he was placed into a classroom with Katie's son, the director. All of a sudden they claimed he was having behavioral issues when in actuality he was being bullied by Katie's son and other classmates and management refused to do anything about it despite our continuous requests for a classroom change, which was once honored previously. Katie shows complete favoritism towards her children and would make inappropriate comments to my child. There is a current DCFS investigation as well as attorneys involved due to an incident that occurred on 7/12. Upon picking my children up from this facility, my son had marks on his hips telling me his teacher, Ms. Terrah was pinching him ( as part of disciplinary measures) upon review of their cameras and an exam of my child these accusations proved to be 100% correct. The only thing I commend this daycare on is their swift response as Terrah was terminated within the hour, however, their continuous lack of due diligence in hiring competent staff and addressing issues at their core would have prevented the continuous mistreatment of my son during his entire enrollment here. This facility over the course of the entire 18 months continued to lose my trust and the ONLY reason I kept putting faith in them is due to the strong relationships I had with the teachers listed; their promise to ensure my children were safe was appreciated but they of course can only do so much. This is the first and last daycare my children will ever attend! read more

This the worst day care center I seen after visiting around 4-5 day cares around my area. They hire cheap faculties who don't care about kids or their progress. The management is just about making money. I went to enroll my 3 year old son but I received an idea from other parents in the premise that its not even close to good anywhere for our little munchies. I left immediately after getting same response from other parents. New parents be careful as they do lots of marketing strategies and canvassing for getting enrolled but none of them is put into practice. I still wonder how did it receive good rating but for me its a BIG NOOOO! read more

Very disappointed. The young children/babies are not treated well and are staffed with individuals who are short tempered. Safety is a concern. The curriculum I was sold on at the interview was never taught. read more

There are not enough places for me to leave reviews of this center. I have too many good things to say about them. Having been to another Kiddie Academy (different owners), my experience at Plainfield has BY FAR been the best. The directors, the teachers, the families. Anybody you come into contact here is friendly and helpful. My son is the happiest here than he has been at any other daycare in the past. He is learning so much. Honestly wasn't going to make a review because I hate thing but I think it needs to be pointed out I keep hearing horror stories of children not being properly given care of. My child last a day I went in that morning gave specific instructions on a paper they have you fill out on the first day. My child will not eat unless the bottle is warmed well I put that. Left and continued with my day got a call at 12pm that everything was fine. Picked him up around 3 and I hear a child screaming so loud I walk in the room it's mine, the lady asked me how I would get him to eat. Finally after going through everything possible I asked if the bottle was warmed. "Are hey supposed to be we didn't know" I continue well I filled the sheet this morning that stated it had to be. She said "well we have been very busy today I haven't been able to look" ( that very reassuring right??). She then warmed a bottle and I had to feed my child in the hall way. So to my understanding what the lady had told me is that a bottle was offered but never took it so 9-3 my child I don't think ate well never know. And then the next day the girls basically lied about the situation which made no sense because if I need child care the last thing I would want to do it pull my child? read more

We called 9 schools and narrowed it down to 4 schools to tour near home when trying to find a suitable daycare solution for our daughter to attend when I went back to work at 9 weeks. Kiddie Academy was our last stop, and they definitely fit the "save the best for last" description. The staff is always caring, energetic, and motivating towards the children. When I say always, I mean it. You can walk into the infant room with every child crying (the stars and moon align when babies need diapers, feeding, etc.) and they will still turn around and smile to greet you. I strongly believe that in this case, the staff are a direct reflection of the management. The Director and Assistant Director of this school are top-notch and lead by example every single day. Any time I've needed something, I have it in-hand or have a return phone call within the day. Again, these ladies are always smiling and making sure every teacher and child has what they need to succeed. At our home, we don't call Kiddie Academy "daycare". It's almost a forbidden word, because we call it SCHOOL. This is where she will go to learn, grow, and have fun until she transitions to kindergarten. I am positive the character development, various skills, and core values Kiddie Academy is instilling in her today will ensure she succeeds in the future. The investment we are putting into Kiddie Academy now isn't cheap, but it's also not the most expensive option we explored. In my opinion, I want a return on investment for my child's education, and I feel like I will get that back - and more with this school. read more

What can't I say about Kiddie Academy? They are just amazing with my daughter. She had previously attended a different daycare/school from 4 months until almost 2 years old and difference between the two is remarkable. The staff at Kiddie Academy is amazing. They are always greeting you and your child. Stacey the director is just wonderful and so sweet. Each child gets individual attention. The issue we had at the other daycare was the complete opposite here. The teachers get to know your child on an individual level and learn each child's quirks. The teachers are so friendly and love to share funny stories about your child from the day. At the other daycare my daughter really only got close to a handful of teachers, at Kiddie Academy she has loved all of her teachers. But not only is the staff friendly but the educational aspect is incredible. They make learning fun. My daughter is leap and bounds above where she would be if she were home all day. My daughter amazes me every day and I am grateful to Kiddie Academy for much of it. read more

We our so beyond impressed by our experience at Kiddie Academy! We had been to two other "schools" in the area with awful experiences. I walked in Kiddie Academy on a whim one night after leaving my child's previous school feeling unsettled once again. I showed up at Kiddie Academy exactly 10 minutes before they closed just to see if I could get a little information. The Director welcomed me into the academy and went above and beyond showing me the school, listening to my stories from the other schools, and took the time to play with and get to know my child. We were there past closed and there was never a sign that we were unwelcomed! I had the best first impression of this place! Several months later, I am just as impressed. Everyday we come into the school which literally smells like baked goods when you walk in and no matter what, the Director stops anything she's doing to greet us, talk with us, hug my child, etc. Then we get to the classrooms where my child runs right in because her teachers are so nice! They always have cute activities going on and you get to see what they do through their app. The teachers take the time to talk with me about how my child's night and morning was and you can tell how much they truly care about my child. Even other teachers at the school greet my child by name in the hallways. And she has learned more in the months we have been at Kiddie Academy than she has in the years we spent at other schools.
