Fellow parents understand that kids grow like WEEDS, so consignment stores have been my jam over the last few years. I visited Kid to Kid twice in one week and had an overall good experience. The first time I just stopped in to kill some time and picked up a couple of items for my kids. Most of the stuff they sell here is really great quality and is reasonably priced. For my youngest I got two pairs of pants and a long sleeve shirt, and for my middle I got a pair of jeans and brand new Halloween bow by the checkstand (they gottt me), all for $25. Definitely affordable! I stopped in later in the week to drop off a huge tote of clothes that I've been discarding as my youngest has grown out of them. The selling process is fairly easy - you drop off, they process the clothes, and then give you a call to let you know how much store credit or cash they'd like to offer. I decided to take the store credit offer because it was definitely decent and because I know I'll be back to shop again! It's also nice that whatever they decide they don't want/isn't in season, they'll donate to local non-profits so I don't have to handle picking it up and dropping it back off somewhere else. The store is organized nicely and they have a ton to look through for all ages. My only gripe is that each time I've gone in, the staff hasn't been the friendliest. Retail definitely can be hard work though, so it's possible they were just having overwhelming days. Looking forward to returning and shopping again! read more

Love this store and the Idea of dropping off clothes for store credit. I do wish as much as the clothes cost at times you would get a little more for the clothes you drop off in good condition/ name brands but this has not stopped us from going! read more

The people here have always been nice but the prices aren't great. I had a bunch of clothes to bring by, all in perfect condition, but there is a sign outside that they only accept clothes 10-2pm which is extremely unhelpful to a working Mom. This shop would get more stars if they allowed drop offs after work, when parents are actually able to run errands. read more

I was excited to try a new consignment store however, I was disappointed with this store. They unfortunately, don't stock older pieces so if you're a vintage hunter like I am, it will be a wasted journey. I think the sign at the door said no clothes older than 2019. The items stocked for girls are generally cheaper brands - Cat & Jack, Carter's, the Children's place, Garanimals etc. Maybe after scouring through the racks, you may find Gymboree or a Zara kids tshirt. I didn't see any higher end brands like Hanna Andersson, Janie and Jack, Mini Boden, Tucker & Tate, Natives, etc. The pricing on items were fair though. They also did have reasonable prices and plentiful options for used toys. Staff were friendly and greeted me when I entered. I went to this location twice in two differing seasons to see if stocked clothes got any better. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back as it didn't have my preference of kids clothing. read more

I sold to them last year and it went pretty good and they had a nice lady possibly the owner? Yesterday i went and took a 2 boxes and 2 toys they lady made me take out everything and put in one of their containers? Even though I already had a box over 100 items I left and a walking toy. I got an email it was ready and they could only give $11 I arrived and asked if I could see what they took and she said no its already in a pile in some bins but have me what was left over they took the toy and idk what other things bc you could see a diff in the bin. But last time she did show me what she was keeping. Its just better to donate and to sell here they give you nothing. Will not be using again and customer service its not good. read more

The website says you purchase used clothes until 6 pm except on Sunday. Yet when you get to the store a white hand written sign on the door says until 2 pm. Some people don't have luxury of transportation at a whim. Especially those who buy or sell used clothing. I saw three people take heavy baskets to your door only to find your hand written sign. They then not unlike myself, had to take the baskets back to their cars. Please update your website or adhere to the online hours. Those of us who are selling probably don't have the gas to waist that you assume we do. read more

So I have been a customer and seller/buyer of kid to kid for 2years. In both locations they have had. I love them. The one and only policy that they have that I dislike is that they don't take products/clothes that are more than two years old. I am someone who takes very good care of their kids clothes and I have some clothes that are 2-3 years old it's still look brand new that they won't take because they are over the "2year" mark. Which makes no sense. If they are in like new condition, why not? I love that I can get cash right away for things I no longer need! They have great covid practices right now! Poor service. Rude staff. Prices are high for used stuff. I used to come here a lot until the own sold it. The newer owner (started a few years ago) is so rude. And you get next to nothing for anything you try to sell. It's better to donate to someone who needs it bc you are basically giving it to Kid to kid free. read more

So this place closed for some time and now re opened. While I appreciate such a huge large section of clothing sizes being available, cause usually anything after 2T is nearly impossible to find at other kid thrift stores. The buying/selling process is kinda ridiculous. Before they closed I had barely used clothes brought in from sizes ranging from NB-5t in girls and boys. Including shoes. The gal that sorted through told me they didn't want Walmart/ target brand items cause they are usually $2-4 and on the cheaper side and there wasn't much profit to be made. Honestly if they aren't stained and in very good condition I don't see why regardless of "brand" it matter. I notice they only took the higher quality ideas out of everything. Juicy, north face, some Costco sets of clothes. And they took most of the shoes that against were not Walmart or target. What was probably thousands of dollars of clothes available for the taking I got a $60 credit. After they re opened again notice they were very VERY PICKY of what they wanted in terms of clothing. I decided not to bring my items to this location. I want my stuff to go to moms that can use it, I know the struggles of buying clothes that get grown out of at only a few Months at a time. I either give it to free groups on Facebook to moms that need it or other stores. The credit thing isn't much value anywhere. employees are great after the re opening. The ones previously were rude and very judgy I would hear cashiers talking Badly and loud enough to the point I could hear them in the store talking bad about customers anywhere in the store. The employees seem much more nicer and friendly. Overall place is great in terms of size range and quantity of clothing. And improve of staff. Just wish they weren't so picky. A lot of clothes probably go to waste or just given to goodwill with the lack of how much they turn away. read more

While I love shopping at quality consignment stores for kids- it has always been a struggle to find a store that carries a large selection of clothes. This place is the answer! Kid to Kid is huge! And- the selection of good, toys, and clothes are top quality for consignment--all while being at great prices. As a mom of 3 LOs, finding affordable, stylish clothing options for my kids is an adventure to say the least. I was able to walk out the door with 3 pairs of shoes, 5 shirts, 3 pairs of pants, and 2 jackets for under $83. My children range from size 12 mos- 12 boys. I totally get making a profit but they absolutely take advantage of those who don't take time to sell themselves. Definitely better off selling on your own you'll make more money. Again great to buy. This is now one of my favorite consignment stores for babies/kids. It's very clean and organized and is packed full of clothes that are in great condition. Some of my favorite things- there's a cute little pink door as the entrance just for kids. There is tiny shopping carts for my toddler to push around the store which keeps her from getting bored. There is a small kid section that has a tv and some interactive toys when the kids finally do get bored. I stayed in here for over an hour and purchased a bunch of things for my upcoming baby! Disappointment to say the least...I have been shopping and selling here for about 10 years. Always been an awesome place...things started to change a bit for the not so good at the new location in Kent...staff a bit moody, short and impatient. But I didn't get too into it because I still liked what they offered. But a few weeks ago, I called to ask if I can still shop without a mask...because of a true medical issue...they would not let me in, or give me any suggestions or anything other then wearing a shield which does not help either. Just basically a NO. I have decided to no longer support their small business because of the discrimination afforded to me, which is just too bad because not only did I sell awesome stuff but I also spent quite a bit of money there and referred all the time...no more. read more

Kids go through so much clothes each year. This is a great place to buy gently used clothes for kiddos. You could also sell your child's outgrown clothes and gears however if your looking to earn good money out of it i would not recommend selling here. They do rip you off. I dont think that they buy your stuff in a fair price. But then again its a consignment store. And they will donate the clothes that they did not want to buy from you to wherever they chosed to donate it unless you wanted to take it back you can. Overall once again great place to buy but not to sell. And the girls that i have encountered was really nice. I will come again and maybe bring some momma friends. read more

I came in just to purge some of my girls clothes. The process to sell was easy, and didn't take more than an hour. I was happy to find a kids area in the back so my toddler could play while I shopped. I found a couple dresses and a pair of salt waters for a great deal. My only complaint was that the buyer said my items were stained and had signs of major wear. I checked each item before putting them in bins, and donated the over worn, stained and lower end Kohl's, Target & Walmart brands so I was confused by this. I guess since this isn't my first go-around with consignment stores, I would recommend that the buyer not make remarks about the passed items unless someone asks for them. read more

I've shopped at Kid to Kid a lot over the years and am a bit disappointed with my first experience with the new owner/location. I went in with a box of 45+ items (very similar to what I have sold there many times before) I had my infant son in hand plus my niece and nephew, the lady at the "selling counter" was instantly rude toned and short answered...Maybe if you don't like kids you shouldn't work at a children's store ‍ I asked if I could come back shortly and they told no I had to stay there and they would call my name when they were ready for me, is this a new rule? I have most definitely dropped things off in the past. 45 minutes later I get to leave, disappointed in the customer service if you can call it that & our wasted time. I will give the store one more shot but am already sad about the atmosphere in the new store. read more

Kid to Kid is a magical place. The staff is always kind, courteous, and patient with my kids, and well frankly, me too! We like to shop on sale days but really any day is a sale day with prices like theirs. I wish I had know about a place like this when my kids were a lot younger. We have saved so much money. My review of one star is based on the simple principle of failure to inform and bad business practice. I brought in my items and was told it's probably best to leave and come back since they were so busy. I understood and I agreed as I had my toddler with me at the time. I nearly had about 30 pairs of shoes, 40 complete outfits (matching shirts & pants), and 6-7 jackets. I took good note of their prices of items that were of brand names and not. My stuff included things that were in EUC, a great about new with tags on that were never worn as well. Nike's, mini melissa's, Hudson, Osh Kosh, and Gymboree. I was cashed out $105. I felt robbed. What's worse is that I was not able to disagree with this amount and get my items back because I was told that if I would have stayed and waited, I could have made that decision but since I left and came back, that did not apply to me. This is very misleading, bad customer service, and fraud in my personal opinion. I understand needing to covering COH (cost of overhead), indirect cost, and needing to perform above breaking even but this was absolute highway robbery in the best laymen terms. I will not be back and will be reporting this to the BBB Update: I am not looking for a "canned response" reply from the owner. Such a great store. I love that I can sell my kids old clothes and get them a new wardrobe. Why but new when you can get gently loved. Inqlsonfind alot of new items as well. They always have such great deals and the free book a month clubs is perfect for my daughter. They have a kids area so my little one can play as I shop. They have such a great selection from toys, maternity clothes, shoes, books, etc. Such a great find and I'm glad they moved closer to my house. read more

Selling here is a joke. I took in a pair of youth size Hunter rain boots ($80), two pairs of Vans ($40 each), a pair of toddler Nikes ($40) , two EzPz silicone plates($20 each), a Tula baby carrier ($100), an unused Muddy Buddy rain suit ($30), and a Freshly Picked diaper bag ($175). All high end brands mostly purchased from Nordstrom. They wouldn't take the diaper bag because the inside had some stains in it. The outside is in excellent condition, the inside housed snacks, bottles, baby clothes that got spit up on them, etc...some staining is pretty par for the course on the inside of a diaper bag. This was odd to me because everytime I've been in here to shop it's mostly cheap brands (Walmart, Target, Old Navy) that are visibly used/worn/secondhand and dated baby gear. For all my other items they gave me $30. That's right, $30. That's less than the price of the two EzPz silicone plates. I will never set foot in another Kid to Kid store again I am so disgusted with their practices. read more

Brought some clothing to sell to this place and the gal sorting the clothing was really nice. But some bigger gal with shaved sides wasn't so much. More worried about the time and not worried about the product and eating her gummy bears. Told the gal sorting don't waste your time because its already 6:15. Also, said if they aren't paired don't waste your time. Lady I paired the clothing, but most of the stuff didn't have pairs. They came in onsie sets not outfits. Maybe you shouldn't be talking crap well the customer is present. I will not be going back. Not worth my time or money. I'd rather give to a family in need. Don't need this person making money off me. This lady needs to learn business etiquette. She even told some guy who came to get is buy out money that Carter brand is low end and that is why he didn't get much back.
