Wow, I have a new favorite on my short list of local eateries. My gym partner and I decided to give this place a try tonight even though it was a bit out of the way from the gym. It was worth the trip. We were seated immediately upon entering and the waiter was at the table within minutes to take our drink order. We took note of the 20 wing + 100 oz beer special but elected to try that another time. I had the Miller Lite draft which was cold and reasonably priced. The wing selection is small compared to other places - only four sauces to chose from. The wings were great. We ordered boneless however we got the bone. We didn't point that out to our waiter but we enjoyed the wings anyway. In the waiter's defense, I'm sure we confused him when we were ordering. The only real blemish on the evening was the server who delivered the food with a one word announcement of "Here!" as she glided by without stopping and continued on. Fortunately, she was as brief as she was rude. With the exception of the server, the rest of the staff seemed genuinely happy and were great to deal with.There are numerous TVs throughout the bar so that no matter where you sit, you have a view of the game. We will definitely return to try to 100 oz beer special. Glad to have a new place to haunt. read more

Great sportsbar in the raleigh/garner area. Decent prices, ample televisions, and an array of seating choices. Service is generally great and food has always been consistent with 1 exception. I love that they offer grilled wings instead of fried (ew). The Habenero BBQ is wonderful! Ask for David S....one of the best servers out there. The food was ok. There was a very long hair in my food. The waitress noticed it before I noticed it - I was still working on my salad. She took it back to have it re-cooked. Initially, they messed up my order, then the hair in the food, coupled with the inconvenience and gross factor was not a positive experience for me. The Mgr stopped by to offer an apology. We were on a lunch break so with all the mishaps I was a little annoyed. The Mgr didn't comp my meal. My friend didn't care because he's a guy and they rarely care. I would probably never return. Huge fan of Kickback Jack's but the wait and setvice was unreal on my last visit. I am assiming because it was football Sunday nut knoeing that thos day brings in a lot of folk, prepare ahead of time staff up!! My favorite part is the TVs, especially during the first weekends of the NCAA tournament and we get to watch the NBA game of Golden State and San Antonio. This is my local neighborhood bar and I absoutley could not be more happy with the countless experiences i've had here. Anytime I have friends over I convience them to visit KBJ for "one drink" which naturally turns into quite an evening. Everyone loves the vibes there, the bartenders are so fun and the food is way above your average "bar food". The chicken nachos are ah-mazing! Anything my friends or myself have ever ordered has always exceeded our expectations. Kickbacks is a great place to take the family for dinner or sit bar side and watch a game (on one of the many new huge televisions)! Definitely try it out! read more

Rotten service. Disengaged waitress, Valerie, who didn't get our orders correct. No drink refills or offer for them. My husband asked for crackers with his salad, she acknowledged it when he asked but they never came. He asked for butter and she brought as his last bite of broccoli was on the plate. We went on a kids eat free day for lunch and were really surprised by how awesome the place looks. Great atmosphere, lots of TV's, our waitress was upbeat and friendly. I love this place, it seems everyone is friendly here. Great food, good prices, and it's clean. They hold events regularly and have live bands. You can play casual poker on the screens and they recently installed a Keno game, which is loads of fun. If you want to catch a game or a fight I suggest grabbing your friends and heading to this location. read more

This place is consistently good. When I say good, this place is a sports bar type of restaurant with large portions and pretty typical food. This is about the dining area, not the bar... the service was good.. waitress was nice (and cute!) But they messed up some of the orders my party had. The manager did give them their food for free without them even asking for reconcilliation. That was nice. I ordered a burger fries and drink. The food was good and cooked how i asked but it was higher than i expected (around 13.00 for burger fries and drink) i give it a 2 out of 5 due to price. This is one of the best restaurants in the Garner area!! They have a large menu selection, and I've tried the majority of it and it was all great. They have tv's and projection screens all over - great place to watch sports. They have outdoor seating and cornhole to play! Service is always great, whether we've had 4 people or 18...always well taken care of. They even have games that you can play with other patrons from your table on the tv's. we went here for lunch today, we ordered the 5.99 tuesday meal special. we both ordered WELL cooked burgers. my burger was fine, fully cooked. however, this is the burger that was served to my grandmother. we were both pretty shocked. it was COMPLETELY raw except for the edges. we showed our waitress and she looked at it, said 'ok i'll get someone' and walked away. 10 minutes went by and nobody had been to our table to address it. finally, the manager was walking by, and shouted at my grandmother, 'we're getting u another one'. he didn't even stop to say it, no apology. nothing. so 10 mins go by, again. and the manager drops the new burger on the table, again, as he is walking elsewhere. our waitress wasn't very good either. she came to our table to take our drinks/order, hand us our food and to pick up our payment. other than that she sat at a table full of dudes giggling and nonsense. OH, and my grandmother had to pay for BOTH of the burgers, the RAW one and the cooked one. nobody would stop to speak to us to fix it. not even our waitress would come by unless she needed to. we used to go here a lot, but we will not be returning after this. absolute MADNESS. read more

I don't think I would go ever go back to this place. Service at a restaurant starts when you walk in and are greeted by the hostesses. There where 3 hostesses mind you and not one could come into their 2nd waiting area even though minutes before we were supposed to go they came out for group. When I called and spoke to the manager about the issue he simply said it was 5th day there and there wasn't much he could do. This place is alright but nothing special. We go there after games and it takes forever. We went in at 11pm once and got out at 1pm and they got my order wrong. The waitresses and staff are alright, not super great but not horrific. Very plain. They have a good deal to get shrimp and ribs that's very good but that's all. Mor of a sports bar than fast food. Roomy, lots of big TVs, friendly staff. I had the Cajun style shrimp with pasta that was very tasty. Portion was enough for a second meal at home the next day. My husband and I ate a late lunch yesterday. I really enjoyed the food. The tavern nachos were really good. My husband ordered the pizza and fries, and the pizza tasted similar to Tomato Pie's pizza, which is A+ in my book. I wasn't too wild about the potato soup, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Had a great experience for a busy Saturday night, no wait, plenty of staff all working together to provide high level attentiveness. Had the grilled wings which came out hot and delicious. We were a large party, food all came out together, fresh and hot. 3 friends met here on a Monday at 6:45 pm. We ordered brews, and nachos to start. Nachos were a little flat, and had the majority of the cheese sauce at the bottom of the plate. Not a deal breaker. 2 of us ordered salad, ceaser and green. Arrived promptly, no problems. Our waitress had a new feel to her, but she was nice, but had an overwhelmed feeling to her. We now order: 10 grilled wings, a rib dinner with fries, slaw; a combo sirloin (medium) with the full rack of ribs, with loaded potato. I ordered my ribs dry/memphis/unsauced. Waitress repeats everything, and we continue to nibble on nachos and salad. Rib plate arrives with fries and slaw. My friend is happy. My combo arrives (sirloin/ribs), and my ribs are drenched in sauce. The food runner was gone before I could comment about it. Several minutes later, waitress returns, and I point out the ribs to her. She kinda sorta apologizes, and says she will get the dry ribs out to me. I now start on the steak and potato, leaving the double stack of ribs untouched on the plate. She returns, and states that "I can eat whatever I want on the plate", and that the new ribs will be out. 4 to 5 minutes later a half rack of dry ribs arrive (I believe by the manager), and I state to him, I had ordered the full rack. He states sorry, and he can have the extra rack out in a few more minutes. Waitress returns, and my 3rd guest, has yet to receive her grilled wings. We've probably had entrees for 20/25 minutes. Waitress goes to kitchen, and comes back, and asks what flavor wings did guest 3 order. They haven't even been started. (Yikes). Couple minutes later 2nd portion of ribs arrive, a few minutes later wings show to the party. By this time, everyone is kinda full, so we all ask for boxes. Manager stops by and says something about us (me) not having to pay for the messed up ribs. Still charged $18.29 for the combo, but 2 slabs of add on ribs (6.99 x 2) were comped off. I was planing on leaving the rack of sauced ribs on the table, but decided to take the sauced ribs home to give to the dogs. Waitress was nice, but still made mistakes of splitting check. Nachos split by three, and separate checks for everything else. I ended up with the full nachos on mine, and since everyone was paying cash, my friends just gave me the money for their share of nachos. Waitress now notices, and goes somewhere to redivide the check, and comes back with 3 new checks. We tell her we've figured it out on our own. We still tipped her 20%, and we never got nasty/snipey although we had a lot of ammunition to deal with. Will we be back, but of course. Will we have a chip on our shoulder, probably not. Kickback Jacks is located right near my office and I have had a chance to eat here on a few occasions. Each time I have visited the service and food have both been great. The place is huge and has a nice covered outdoor seating area. There are plenty of TVs everywhere so it is a great spot to come watch some sports. The wings here are really good. My favorite sauce is the Habenero BBQ. I also tried the BBQ Chicken Pizza and it was just OK. The crust was good but the toppings and the way the pizza was put together was just OK. They have some good drink specials as well. If your looking for a spot to watch some sports, drink some beers, and eat some wings then this is the place! read more

I went during dinner time and got dry rub wings and fries. The wings were good but the fries were bland, hard, and lacked seasoning. They were also stingy with the portion size of fries. The service was good and the food didn't take long to come out. I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger to go. It was really good and this batch of fries tasted better and had seasoning on them. I don't recommend this place at all! My friends and I came in yesterday, it was super packed. It took us 30 minutes to even get a cup of water. The waitress came over slammed her things down and seemed upset about something. When I made a complaint about not being helped, in about 45 mins now, our waitress told another waitress and they laughed. Managers just walked around, not really much help. Everything came out i a timely manner and waitress seemed to be okay but then service began to get a little sketchy. Waitress just left us sitting for about 20 minutes before we stopped another waitress only to find out our waitress had left for the night.
