Found the 2015 Yukon Denali we wanted on Kijiji, it was at the Kia west Edmonton dealership. Met with salesperson Adel, agreed on vehicle price and trade in value, was told Vehicle would go through a 150 point inspection before I would have it in my possession. Then met with finance girl Kathleen gave us written out on paper,payments of $354 biweekly. First payment comes out $10 more! The $10 isn't the problem it's the dishonestly that doesn't sit well. Come back to finalize deal With her and she is 40 minutes late getting is Into her office, due to another manager dealing with a "crazy client" is what we were told. Timeliness is important as I have my toddler and baby with me. Pick up the vehicle a few days later, after promised repairs are preformed. As soon as the vehicle was driven off the lot two warning sensors came on. The air shocks sensor and the side detection sensor. I immediately called Adel back and he told me to bring the vehicle back. I bring it back and they keep it for a few more days they say everything is mechanically sound. Again as soon as I drive off the lot the sensors immediately come back on. Now I'm highly annoyed I have two small children and each time I have to take the car seats in and out of my vehicle to put in a loaner vehicle. I also question if it was even looked at in the first place. Finally after the third attempt to look at and fix my vehicle they decide to take it to GMC. So in one month of owning the vehicle and making payments on it I've actually had physical ownership of the vehicle for five days. I understand that things can be overlooked but this was an absolute joke. Out of all of the vehicles I have purchased in my lifetime this has to be the most difficult situation at a dealership that I've ever had. After all the problems I've dealt with at this dealership I have attempted to contact Paul Ricci the customer relations manager and left a message but my phone call was never returned. I bought a KIA Sportage from his dealership in 2023 and had a horrible experience with this dealership. I wrote a a 1 star review back then and was pretty much told that they didn't care. Years later, this dealership continues to cold call me trying to get business from me asking me if I'm interested in purchasing another vehicle from their dealership. I've been called several times in the past 2 years and each time I've told them to never call me, but they continue to do so. So here's another negative review for continuing to cold call me after I've continuously told them I do not wish to be contacted and I will tell anyone willing to listen to me that this dealership is the absolute worst. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! my parents recently bought a new vehicle from this dealership (if you can even call it that). from the beginning, they told the salesperson Olivia that the main thing they wanted from the sale was transparency, something this dealership does not do. After choosing the car they wanted, the finance manager proceeded to shove several papers at them, forcing them to sign everything without a chance to read any of the forms or ask a single question about what they were being asked to sign. They kept telling them they would throw in free oil changes for 4 years along with a several other free packages, which turned out to be add ons nearly doubling the sticker price of the vehicle and completely breaking all of Alberta's all in pricing laws. There was absolutely zero transparency or honesty from any employee at this dealership. On top of the scamming, when providing us with the vehicle and banking information for insurance purposes, they ended up giving us the information of SOMEONE ELSE, who they claim has a similar last name to us. Because of this mistake, we could have insured a vehicle that did not belong to us had we not paid attention to detail, resulting in us losing our insurance and potentially getting into trouble with the police. A mistake of this nature is extremely serious and would cost many people their jobs, yet the employees at this dealership swept it under the rug saying it was "just a simple mistake". Absolutely unbelievable. We should have read all the negative reviews before stepping foot in this dealership, as there are a lot of reasons why they only have a 1.7 star rating on yelp, and have been investigated by CBC News for breaking laws. I know they do not care about these reviews, as they respond with the same automatic response each time telling unhappy customers to call them, but when you do call the number provided, they give you arrogant and conceited responses filled with attitude. Absolutely no care for any of their customers, or any concerned that they are actively lying to and deceiving every person who walks through the door. I purchased a demo was told it was still a NEW vehicle in the Kia world. we went to pick up vehicle went to register where they sent us to find out it was out of province so now we need an inspection. go to get bill of sale the New box was whited out and now it is used. I have no issue with it being used but once we got home we realized they charged us ALL the fees of a new car. I called and was told they could because it was still NEW in the Kia world. i now can't get replacement value thru insurance and they charged so much it will never be covered if something happens. shame on me and I will never return. read more

Never take your Kia to this location to have your air conditioner fixed. We have a 2019 Kia Sorento, and every spring since we purchased it new in March 2019, we have had to get the air conditioner repaired. Each time, they stated it was a leaking valve. We wait months at one point to get the part. One would think that this issue would be fixed after years, but it was not. This April, again, the air conditioner is blowing warm air. I called Kia West and tried to make an appointment. They told me this would not be covered by the warranty because my warranty was due in March. I inquired about Kia West's warranty on the work they perform. There was no comment from the service manager other than it would cost me 200.00 for them to diagnose the problem. So, I took the vehicle elsewhere to get the air conditioner serviced. I am so glad I did. After an independent Auto Facility performed a diagnosis, they informed me that the refrigerant KIA West installed in our vehicle was incorrect. Only 49% of the correct refrigerant was used, and the remaining 51% was a mix of hydrocarbons. There were no leaks; it was just cheapening out on the proper refrigerant product. This could have happened only when they repaired and recharged our vehicle system in June 2023. I am getting a lawyer to send an official complaint to Kia Canada, and I expect to be reimbursed for the 700.00 plus dollars I paid to repair our air conditioning system. Worst customer service in the country!!! no one is available to provide us with the information we need. and when I called to let them know I didn't receive the email I was supposed to receive, a lady called Meaghan laterally sigh on me, like she is tired of me calling, and I was told to calculate the price of the vehicle by myself (just by adding the GST and the fee that I have no idea how much is it). I have also been told that they cannot provide me with any information about my BI-weekly payment on the phone, until I come in person "because this is how it work here in Edmonton" . when I decided to cancel the purchase and asked for my deposit back. then a manager get involved, and the same person called me to give me all the info that she was not able to give me before over the phone.... I'm still waiting for my friend's referral incentives. One of the staff said that my friend have to wait for a month before she can get her referral incentive. Even the President email me about the referral cash incentive. My question is why we have to wait for a month to get the incentive? Terrible experience purchasing but it was a good service department. No more!!! I asked how much it would cost to replace the door lock. They charged me $60 to tell me. It cost $78 to replace it. I asked them to fix the emergency brake (button sticking). They charged me $70 to tell me it needed replacing, but did not either replace it or quote on the replacement. I have had ongoing issues since I purchased a Kia Sorrento from Kia West Edmonton regarding a mat for the hatch of my new Sorrento that I did not receive. Since then I have not been contacted by Kia West Edmonton with efforts to resolve this issue. I have left phone messages and emails to Mr. Ricci and his son's and have had no reply. On January 8, 2019 I went to Kia West Edmonton to get the first oil change in my new Sorrento. At this time I went into the sales area to ask about the above issue and talk to one of the Ricci's. While I was waiting a salesperson from Kia West Edmonton approached me to inform me that the back hatch mat would not be included. When purchasing our Sorrento the mats were to be included but it was a verbal agreement. I was never told that the hatch mat would not be included until after the sale was completed and I had possession of my new vehicle. The sales person also told me that I was to not contact Kia Canada again and if I did Kia West Edmonton would charge me. I had requested to speak with one of the owners. I had observed that Mr. Ricci and sons were in the building. I was told repeatedly to wait as they were all busy. I waited over one hour to speak with Mr. Ricci and was eventually told by the receptionist that he would not speak to me and I was handed a business card. This card was a lawyer's card. At this point I was again threatened that any contact with Kia Canada or any social media posts was not advisable. I consider what Kia West Edmonton did as a threat and their sales/customer service unethical. The lack of professionalism and integrity within Kia West Edmonton is appalling. The guy that was with me took it upon himself to push the reset button. Now it does not work at all. He told me it was broken and he would get me a quote on how much it will cost me to fix it. Misrepresented the condition of their vehicle. Severe salt & rust damage on the body: engine: and undercarriage on the 2011 Dodge Charger. Metallic grinding noises when accelerating, very dirty interior; not registered under their dealership name; coerced one of their salespeople to drive the car to my home while driving with an illegally registered vehicle & no insurance. Lied about the price; financing terms; and evaded all questions about refunds. Sheldon Dimma & Mark Jones have stolen my $5000 I was coerced to pay via e-transfer to Sheldon's personal account because he claimed their account manager was gone for the weekend. Now, after I refused to take their unsafe & severely damaged vehicle, they won't refund my money and ignore all my attempts at contact. I am a person with disabilities, and they have stolen my life savings and have caused me more health problems. I am now in the process of filing a formal complaint with AMVIC & CBC News Go Public. Legal counsel will be retained if necessary. (I have written documentation & pictures as proof. They are holding my money as ransom, and they have the car back on their lot. Test drove the new KIA Optima. The sales person was not knowledgeable at all - to the point where he mangles the spelling of my first AND last name (I spelled it out for him AND he had my ID and insurance). Showed me a walk around of the car, popped the hood and out came a rat.... In the internals of the car...Alive and well. Sales ignores this problem, casually grabs the rat and throws it on the floor, continuing like nothing happened. Drive was excellent though, car is a beauty. Get back to the dealership, the "acting manager"comes to talk to me and get me to purchase the new vehicle on the same day (All while not even looking at me, but at his sales staff). I tell them that I would need more time to look over the numbers and financials and get back to them within a week. Mr. Pretend-manager promptly leaves and I get up to shake his hand and his reply was: "I can't shake your hand, I injured it" and proceeds to pat me on the back (You have two hands and zero manners). As a parting "gift", the sales person reached into his pocket and pulls out a Tims card. He tells me lunch is on him and that he's giving me this card for my interest in the car and taking the time to test drive. I try using this Tims card, balance is $0.00. I was told that brakes needed to be done and that w rotors needed to be machined and the other 2 replaced, plus the brake pads in the back replace right away and the front soon. I had brakes inspected elsewhere and the rotors were all fine and the brake pads were the only thing I needed replaced. Would have spent twice the amount for nothing. read more

I actually feel ripped off by this dealership. We live in Saskatchewan, we were going to Edmonton for the weekend, just this past weekend, and decided to drop in here. To get an oil change on our 2012 Kia Sportage. While waiting, we were approached by a sales guy, who happened to be from NL just like us. He was very pushy and basically convinced us that we were paying to much for what we had and he could get us lower payments on a 2013 Sportage with even more options. He kept pushing and in the end we caved. He promised us we would have all the same accessories we had before included, which was auto start, undercoating, and fabric protectant. In the end, we ended up paying an extra $125 a month. We had to pay for the undercoat and fabric protectant again. And we also were not told that when we got home we would have to pay the extra $600 for taxes. I really feel ripped off. How did we go from being promised a lower payment, to going to an extra 40 dollars and then to an extra 63 dollars and were not informed of anything until it was too late.
