Reading the reviews on here and experiencing the process with myself and my wife. It can be confirmed that it would not be recommended to come here in particular if your looking for a Mitsubishi vehicle. Basic fundamental skills such as listening and asking questions to get to know you better were not demonstrated by the sales agents and the sales managers, but instead demonstrated directing the conversation to an immediate sale. We came to talk numbers so we can compare with other options, but sense they were pushing for a sale. I would recommend listening and gauging how you feel as a customer and if you sense that they are directing to an immediate purchase, that is a red flag. Overall, not a great experience read more

West Side Mitsubishi is the most unethical and dishonest organization I have ever encountered. Here's how they cheated $2307.90 from me. We verbally agreed on the vehicle base price, winterization package, 3M protection, free winter tires, rustproofing and undercoating. When it was time to sign, they didn't go over the paperwork with me. They didn't verbally itemize anything on the bill of sales. They just watched in silence as I signed and initialed a stack of pages. When I was done signing, I asked for my copy of the paperwork. The answer was no. They didn't give me a copy. Why was that? I found out six days later when I picked up the vehicle and finally had a chance to inspect the papers. They had secretly shoved two add-ons to the bill of sales that I never wanted or asked for: something called "Etch" $1199 and "Tires & Rims Program" $999. When I was signing, I did not expect or notice these lines on the page, and they were never itemized to me verbally. This is an Unfair Practice as detailed in Section 6(4) of the Consumer Protection Act: "(4) Without limiting subsections (2) and (3), the following are unfair practices if they are directed at one or more potential consumers: (a) a supplier's doing or saying anything that might reasonably deceive or mislead a consumer." https://www.amvic.org/unfair-practices/ Furthermore, this is what the Alberta government has to say about documentation: "Businesses are required to provide buyers with the comprehensive bill of sale document at the time of the vehicle sale." I looked at these two surprise items on the contract and I had absolutely no clue what they even meant. I had to Google to see what the word "etch" had to do with cars. (It's the engraving of the serial number of the vehicle which, to the best of my knowledge, gets done at the factory, not at the dealership.) They refused to send me the detailed terms and conditions of this "Etch" add-on, so to this day I don't exactly know what it is. Pure thin air, as far as I'm concerned. "Tires & Rims Program"? This one they did explain. It's a thousand-dollar warranty for accidental tire and rim breakage. For 24 months. But this is beside the point. The point is that they added all this hogwash on the bill of sale without my informed consent. In the normal world, when salesmen dupe a customer, the manager should step in and make it right. Not at West Side Mitsubishi. First, I called the dealership and asked these bogus add-ons to be removed from the bill of sales. Response was negative. Then I emailed the manager and explained, in detail, how exactly they had ripped me off. The manager attempted to make it right by offering "free lifetime oil changes." Incredibly, this was yet another scam. I looked at the wording on this "free oil change" contract and asked the manager, repeatedly, what the small print means. He refused to explain, so I did my own research. The dealership service department was courteous enough to reveal that the deal is not actually free. To qualify for these oil changes, I would have to pay for a series of inspections and services over the years, including costly brake inspections, transmission service etc. This entire episode has been beyond disappointing. I had no idea that any business could actually go to these lengths to deceive their customer. West Side Mitsubishi owes me $2307.90 ("Etch" $1199 + "Tires & Rims" $999 + GST). read more

Terrible experience, wife dropped car off tuesday last week(April 9th) . We were Told that it needed a new transmission. Approval needed for warranty work, and we were told it would take 2-3 days to hear on approval. After that tome period we began calling once that time frame expired. We were Told each time we called "I would check with the tech in the back and call you back" we never got called back and when we called back we were told the same thing over and over again. It is now Friday the 19th. With no answers, no car. The service dept is a joke with 0 accountability, asked to speak with service manager and we get the run around, ask for the general manager and we get the run around. Called and left message for both and no call backs. Do not bring your vehicle here. After WE finally called them we heard that things would be fixed Monday the 29th of April. Well I was charged $7.75 for two light bulbs not an issue as I was getting other work done here at the same time. However I was charged a WHOPPING $56.00 BLOODY DOLLARS IN LABOR!????? This dealership scammed me out of thousands of dollars . They said I signed documents on a purchase and trade that I had never even seen the numbers . I was Emailed a bill of sale and saw all the numbers were inflated, extra fees, less money for my trade! I did not sign anything agreeing to this ! They said I did and refused to let me back out of the deal. I have the web post and the vehicle is Moore on my bill than on the website!!! I purchased a car here, and for last 4years I have gone back for my regular services - I tried very hard not to complain or write bad things about places but today was the last straw. The experience from the start was horrible but I ignored it. Full Disclosure: I am very much a girl who does not know much about cars. I do however know when I am being taken advantage off and when people are being scammers and liars. I would NOT recommend ever going here. If you have a different option taker it and here is why. 1) Know what you are paying for. 4 months ago on a recommendation I replaced my wiper blades. Got charged 80 some dollars. Today I get a call, and recommendation is to CHANGE THE DAMN BLADES, again. When I brought it up, the person tried extremely to back paddle and explain how my wiper bladed would have worn out in 4 month. 2) I have two sets of tires, last time I dropped if off to switched them the guy called me and say "oh there are your winter tired". This Dealership took advantage of our long wait for Outlander PHEV by; what we have since learned was overcharging by $5,000. A summer tire had to be replaced after 4 weeks of city use as it was unrepairable after a nail puncture. But what was most embarrassing was to find out from tire shop that our $80;000 vehicle has the cheapest knock off tires available. Poor quality replacement tire to match the other 3 cost us $$ but we can expect to be replacing all 4 tires sooner rather than later. We have owned the vehicle 5 months and the paint is chipped along the inside of driver door. There is 2 screws loose that likely cause the door to swing low. We went to dealership for warranty claim which was rejected because damage is deemed wear and tear. We went back to dealership and upon inspection, sales manager agreed to have it fixed and painted and set up appointment. We dropped off PHEV and rented a car as they don't have replacement vehicles. We got a call a few hours later and were told it was not being done. Service manager advised it was not under warranty and was wear and tear from "pant legs". We still had to pay out of pocket for rented car. We have owned 8 new vehicles and never have pant legs, or anything else, chipped paint off the inside of the door over years of use. So did this service manager sabatoge our claim by adding his predetermined assessment to the claim report or does Mitchibushi just make a cheap product they don't stand by? Bottom line is this dealership will notadvocate for its customers when problems ar might cost them $$$. Either way, stay as far away from this dealership and perhaps Mitsubishi. Would never recommend this place only because of a bad experience from about 7 or so year ago (things may have changed but still a bad taste) I was looking for a used car. I found one that interested me, I wasn`t sure if I wanted to buy it though, and after talking to the sales man I was going to leave and think about it. But then another sales guy walked by and got in on it to try to sell me (ya ya, I know I should have just walked away). So after an hour of these 2 guys hard selling me, I decided to buy it. That wasn`t the worst part. Less than a mont after owning the vehicle, I started noticing a noise coming from the front tire brakes. I called the sales guy and after many phone messages, I got a hold of him (never returned any of my calls). After explaining the issue, all he would say is that it was probably caused by me, from me driving and braking too hard. So basically trying to pass the buck without even offering to check it out. I decided to bring it in to their service department, and was shocked when I was advised that the brakes were not installed correctly. By law they couldn`t even let me drive my vehicle out until it was fixed! How does a dealership sell a vehicle that supposedly went thru their full inspections?! The lady running the service department was awesome, she said it was their fault and would repair it for free. As for the useless sales guy, when he saw me pick up my car the next day he just ignored me, no apology or anything (especially after initially accusing me of being an aggressive driver and probably causing the problem). The one star is for the great service from the lady at the service department. Otherwise, I'd give them zero if I could. Would never again buy a car from here, since first impressions are important. Red flags were there when I drove for an 1 1/2 hr only to find the used car Melvin had assured me the day before was on the lot was sold! I should have walked out then. There was items on the bill of sale that I was not offered or explained costing me an extra $2493. I will never use or need them... I tried for a week to talk to someone but was put on hold for over an hour and it was obvious I was be avoided! Finally I talked to a manager who only comment was " you signed"!How utterly disappointing! I also found out several inconsistencies when I visited the Scotia Bank about the loan. Honestly, I've had nothing but good experiences here, so I cannot relate to everyone's comments. I dealt with them first when I was looking for a car, and came to like a used rvr from another dealer. They gave me all the information about the rvr's (as the other dealer was not a mitsubishi dealership, and didn't know that much about it). When we told them the price of the other car, they said that was a good deal, and they couldn't beat it, so they encouraged me to buy that car. They were never pushy at all, simply gave us the information, as well as a few newer options from their lot. I continued to get my car serviced from them, given how good they were to work with. When my car got written off, I immediately went to them to get another one. They were really accommodating, as most of it needed to be done quickly, and over the phone. They gave me a loner car for free while the deal was going through, as I had limited coverage for a rental from insurance. Even when a mistake was made, and a lower price was promised than should have been, the manager honored it, and we got my new car for a very good deal! I've never been harassed by them, but they have always been good about checking in to see how everything is going. I'm not discrediting anyone's else experience, just looking to share my own, good one, so that you can make your own decision. I called this dealership looking for a specific colour in a vehicle I wanted. I had shopped around a fair bit and had taken for a ride at many other dealerships (metaphorically and literally). I had been told that West Side Mitsubishi had the colour in the vehicle I wanted on its way in, and to put my name down for it I would have to come in to their location. I kept searching and a few days later had changed my mind to an upgrade in that colour. I emailed them on their website and Evan got in touch with me the same day within a couple of hours. All seemed fine and dandy. I was doing some price shopping and trying to find a location with the colour that I wanted within the price I wanted to pay. Evan texted me and we conversed this way for an hour or so, and he assured me the manager could beat the price of their competitor, South Side Mitsubishi. He told me the (supposed) colours he had in stock and he told me his manager was "pretty sure he could beat it". I told him, if he could guarantee he could beat the price I would make the drive across town as I didn't want my time wasted. He assured me he "would make it worth it". I got to the west end and walked into what seemed more like a frat house than a car dealership. A bunch of bros congregating around the office, one girl at the front desk and nobody else in sight. I waited for a few minutes for Evan to appear. He did, and sat us down at his desk, then vanished for 10 minutes looking for the manager. In our text conversation I had told Evan a few things. I wanted to finance the vehicle. I had a hefty down payment and planned to pay it off quickly. I wanted a specific year, in a specific colour, with very specific trim and features. I told him the competitors price and since they had the colour I wanted, I was happy to make the trek across town after work. When I arrived, after my ten minute wait for the manager, Evan came back and said they were still working on some things, and asked if I was sure about the colour, about wanting a 2014, not a 2015 (even if he could sweeten the deal), and asked if I could wait another few minutes while they worked out numbers. After about 20 minutes the manager came back, told me they didn't have the 2014 I wanted with the features I wanted, but he could give me a killer deal on a 2015 vehicle with a lease, in a different colour. And their price didn't include tax like they said it would, adding another $1500 to the purchase price. It also didn't include the starter upgrade I wanted that had been told to them initially as well. NO THANKS! They tried to tell me the 2015 model doesn't depreciate like a 2014 when it is driven off the lot (BS!, they all depreciate) and treated me like an idiot that they could talk in circles. Not once in these conversations did I feel that anyone listened to my concerns, my needs, not once did they follow through on what they said they would, and not only did I waste my time going there, they told me, maybe I should go back to South Side Mitsubishi as their prices were probably better and they had what I wanted. I 100% got the run around from this dealership to simply get me in the door, lying through their teeth, ignoring everything I said, and then sending me out the door without any concern about how unprofessional and shady they were. I will NEVER return to this dealership. They should invest in some customer service seminars, less cheap and tacky suits, and some listening workshops. I bought my vehicle from Southside Mitsubishi and had an honest, up front deal the entire time. Probably the worst dealership in Edmonton. Customer service from the management is the worse. I traded my car in which had some loan on it and it's been more than 2 weeks, they still haven't paid out the balance to the bank. So I'm paying 2 installments. When I tried to talk to the finance guy Mark Haberstock multiple times he said they've already paid the bank and I have to call the bank and sort it out. I don't understand why It is my problem when I traded my car to you??? Well I called the bank anyways and they have not received any payment yet. I tried calling the finance guy again and as expected no response to the voicemail. I have bought a few cars in the past and the dealerships always treated me good and took care of things. But these guys really don't give a shit once you've signed the papers. So there are a lot of other dealerships in town, run as far away from these guys as possible. read more

I came here to get my transmission fixed, they took 4000 of my hard earned dollars and didnt put my skid plate and wheel well plastic back on, then when I got my car back an engine light came on and my awc is flashing and they are saying I need a new pump when it broke in their hands and they won't do anything. Be wary when buying from West Side. You will buy a vehicle from them, and because the 10 year warranty plan is so fantastic, they will try and take advantage of you. They have repeatedly told my wife and I that in order to keep the warranty, we must go through their comprehensive (and completely unnecessary) maintenance plan. This tends to cost between $1000-$2000 dollars per year if you put on more than 25,000km/year. We could get the same maintenance done by a certified mechanic for 1/4 of the price. I'm talking tire rotations, break pads, shocks and stuff like that. We're not replacing a transmission or anything here. Just your absolute BASIC maintenance. Yet they have told us that if we do it elsewhere, we could lose our warranty completely, which is a bold-faced lie. They are vampires, and I'm writing this review not as an angry consumer, but as a concerned one. This is not how business should be done, so please do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere for a vehicle. read more

On March 17, 2010 I purchased a new vehicle for the 2nd time from West Side Mitsubishi. I should have known better as the first time i purchased from them in October 2008 I had many issues with them. Both sales people deceived me in the negotiations and then i had about $1400 worth of personal belongings stolen from my old vehicle while waiting for my new one to be ready. There answer to me after spending over 90,000 with them in the past 2 1/2 years?? Go spend another 1,000 and claim it on your house insurance. Well the story is so long and drawn out, but feel it worth the publics knowledge of this shady dealership. Prepare for a long read...... I purchased a 2015 brand new( supposedly ) Mitsubishi Rvr. I dealt with so many people at this dealership I can't even tell you. First there's the car salesman. Seemed nice enough and def not pushy so that was good. Then the finance guy #1. Let's just say that encounter was not professional to say the least . After he hugged me and teared it, it took everything in my power to take him seriously. Because I didn't qualify for a prime rate I was given to another level of finance. This guy seemed to know his stuff. When the date came to purchase the vehicle. ( date and time set in appointment ) my car was not ready. I went there for nothing. They claimed they were cleaning and detailing the car. I wasn't sure what detailing meant because the supposed car was brand new..??? Hence came the loaner car.. I was given a loaner until my car was ready. I left with the loaner and went out to the mall for approx 45 min. Came back to the car only to have a dead battery ( apparently they boosted the vehicle before giving it to me ). I called the dealership in a panic as I needed to be somewhere in less than an hours time. The actual car salesman came and traded me vehicles. I was in a new loaner. Was driving down the freeway and 10 min on my way to my appointment, The cars emergency low fuel light was on. It had ZERO fuel. Being as there are no gas stations near where I was, I was stressed. Called main reception and was given a service guy. Who informed me to get gas and they'd reimburse me. It wasn't about the money. It was the fact that THERE WAS NO GAS STATIONS!!! They agreed to bring a jerry can With gas. Seriously ??? The next day I called for pickup and was told that there was a scratch on the front Fender that they needed to repair. 2 more days went by. Then on day 5 I get the call that everything was good and to pick it up. I got there and the finance guy #3 now told me I could only deal with HIM! Only him! I found that odd as the financing part was done. My Salesman was on the sales floor. Why was I not dealing with him for the delivery of the vehicle ? We get to the vehicle and quickly he shows me the BACK of the vehicle and wipes away where the scratch used to be. ( I had forgotten the text he sent said FRONT FENDER) it was very sunny this day and he was very rushed to get me to drive car off the lot. Stupid me. I did exactly as he wanted. I drove immediately to my friends house to show her my new car. I was finally excited. But while showing her the car in different light the scratch was plain as day. I was in shock! He lied to me and I didn't look closely enough. The scratch was not deep but about 12 inches zig zagged on the back. I forget to mention that when I heard the car was "scratched" I wondered how a brand new car was scratched like that. So I texted the car salesman who informed me that the car had been keyed. I was in shock. There's a big difference between keyed and scratched. I texted the finance guy #3 who told me I could only deal with him. He said the salesman was lying and wanted his name to fire him. I did not give the name as thus far the salesman was only honest guy. Back to the scratch . I finally had let this nightmare slip my mind when on a Sunday night s random text comes in with a picture of my front fender. No text attached. I send a question mark. And the reply I got was not professional to say the least. It was from Finance guy #3. With a nasty note that said to me exactly... Carrie. You and I both know the car was in mint condition when you took it. I don't know what you did to it but it wasn't The dealership. I was floored. How dare he accuse me of keying my own car in 10 min!!!!! We had a huge text fight over this until I finally said forget it. I'm not dealing with you anymore. So I text the car salesman who apologized profusely for the rudeness of his colleague. He wanted my to screen shot the conversation. I did just that. I informed the salesman that I was taking this all to the BBB . He begged me not to as his brother is the GM. So I said.. The only thing that would appease this situation was a remote 2 way starter that they forgot to put in originally. So I asked. It took 14 min from the time of my threat to have the car starter put in At no charge. Ok do I was mildly happy. They gave me a new loaner and off I went. While getting the car starter installed and the cars keying removed, they called me to tell me it would be a few more days until the car wax perfect. Today marks day 7.. 2.5 weeks after original purchase... They told me that the scratches were too deep to fix in house so it went up a body shop. Now at this point I have asked the deal to be reversed and I wanted nothing to do with them. No dice. The sale was complete. No buyers remorse. What s joke!!! took my car in for a recall notice. They did an "inspection"on my vehicle. They claimed 3 marker lights were burned out. Estimated cost was 90.00. Also told me timing belt needed changing for 990.00. Timing belt was changed elsewhere 2 months ago for about 600.00. In fact only 1 marker light was burned out. The replacement bulb cost 1.50 at the local gas station and took 5 minutes to replace. My car is off warranty in a couple of months thank God. This is not the first problem I have had with this service department but it will be the last. I will not be buying another Mitsubishi because of the service. Total lack of integrity. Wouldn't recommend these losers to my worst enemy. RUN! read more

My wife and I went in to westside mitsubishi in late December 2010 and dealt with a salesman named chris hussein. He seemed to be a decent guy and we decided to purchase a 2009 endeavour from him for 27000 dollars which he assured us was a good price on a vehicle which they had received as a trade in. Everything seemed to be going well until we were told that financing had been denied due to the fact that the 2009 endeavour was not listed in the black book and therefore would not be approved by any bank. i wondered how the previous owners had been able to obtain financing since no bank would touch this vehicle, and i decided to do a little bit of digging around. I found out that legally the 2009 endeavour did not exist since all 2009's were just 2008's being called 09's by mitsubishi and had in fact all been owned by mitsubishi corporate. these rebranded 09's were nothing more than demos probably shitbagged by mitsubishi insiders and now being pawned off on an unsuspecting public. further, a search on autotrader.ca showed us that he had overcharged us by 3500 dollars compared to other dealerships in alberta. we expressed our displeasure with what appeared to be sleazy tactics by this dealership but our slick little sales man assured us that he'd had no idea about the history of the endeavour and that we could trust him to find us something else. like idiots we put our faith in this douche bag again, and again he screwed us over. He ended up selling us a 2010 outlander which he assured us had been "safetied" despite what we showed him were bald tires on the front. We became suspicious of this nest of vipers and ran a carproof check on the vehicle only to find that it was an ex-rental car. An appointment was made Feb 3, 2017 to bring my 2014 Lancer in to check on a squeaking noise occurring somewhere and also to check on my shocks as they seem to be wearing out. Going to the Westside shop we talk with the service rep and answer all the questions and get ready to sign and THEN find out that it will cost at least $72 for a mechanic to look at it for half an hour's work. Are you kidding me?! Number one: this "little" piece of information was 100% LEFT OUT of the phone call conversation to set up the appointment. Number two: the salesperson who ended up SELLING me the car 2 whole years ago at another location NEVER mentioned anything about having to pay for these types of maintenance and just bringing the car in to TAKE A LOOK. I understand it may take some time to find out what the issue is but I've never had to pay for this type of service. Northside has taken a look at my car before with no payment. Number three: the entire reason I bought a Mitsubishi car was because of the great warranty offer. However I can see this was a complete lie and I cannot believe this was not resolved on the spot. I left the shop saying I'm not getting it done because I was unaware that it would cost anything and also I do not agree with it costing anything to try to resolve the issue with my car. Now I work in customer service myself and know that this was not customer service at all. I shouldn't have been able to just leave and not get this issue resolved. At this point I do not appreciate what brand of car I have and do not feel as if the company is backing its clients and customers. After speaking with the store manager at the Westside location, there was no apology made until later on after I was very upset and it was forced. He barked at me for apparently not understanding what he was saying (I even had to say "be more clear!"). Also apparently its my fault for not knowing that all Mitsubishi dealership locations are separate entities and not related to each other. Well stupid me! The situation is still NOT resolved. I will not be dealing with this local shop ever again due to the issue I experienced. Bought a nice little 2014 Lancer Sportback at another Mitsu dealer in town.Not a great experience! So much so that I vowed they weren't getting one more penny from me for servicing. All the way across town for first service at west Side Mitsu. Not 100 % awesome but a 6.5 out of 10 so a huge improvement on the other place. ( North end of town by the way). Then we go to put our winter tires on and discover that there is no key for the lock nuts the incompetents had installed. We have been travelling many many miles away from any dealer over the summer, imagine the tow bill for 600 k if we had had a flat! Anyhow, called West Side and explained the issue, 12:00 on a Saturday afternoon. Told Chelsea that if I went to the North one I would say bad words so please help me. She warned me I would have to wait but told me to bring it in and they would get it fixed for me. Got there about 1:00 and was taken care of, master key used to remove old lock nuts and lock nuts installed WITH KEY in under 20 minutes. And no charge! I was more than willing to pay the 30 bucks as I am quite confident I would get that money back. Superior customer service. I left with a smile on my face and a much better feeling about my car as well. read more

My experience first started off good. But then when I said I would be in to do the negotiating in a couple days, they phoned me the next day to hurray in. In fact, they became very pushy with text messages and phone calls, pushing me to come in sooner or I was going to miss out. The reason being they found the car I wanted and they said they needed to get this done. When I was about 20 minutes away from dealership, I was called again and told car was sold at another dealership. They were then trying to push what I did not want and when it came to negotiating the price, any offer I gave the salesman fought to take the deal to his manager and brought me down in the price. But my thoughts were, why pay for paint/ clear coat package when the vehicle was not the colour I wanted. Finally when salesman was out, a manager walk into the office and basically, he belligerently tried to get me to agree to the terms. When I started to tell them I wanted to sleep on it and had an appointment, they would not let me leave and all of he sudden started to be accommodating. I did Buy a Mitsubishi in the end, but at another dealership who offered me a 2017 for way less then the 2016 Mitsubishi was pushing me and refusing to show 2017's to me. When I got the other dealership's lower 2016 price without negotiating, then showed what I had been offered we could not get westside' numbers to add up. Long story short, I got a 2017 for 6$ more monthly. Westside are crooks! Turns out they were getting more commission to sell the 2016's. read more
