Loved this place. It was packed even at 2pm on a Sunday. Their a/c could use some work as it was a little warm inside but not bad. I'd call it an old me English pub vibe tho the website called in New Orleans style. The food was decent tho their cheesesteak special was awful. Lesson is don't order a cheesesteak from a place in Philly that doesn't have it on their menu every day. lol

Saw so many great reviews about this place and they were not wrong. We were able to grab a seat at the bar during brunch and were impressed with their large number of beers on tap. The eggs Benedict was good but the biscuits and gravy was absolutely delicious with a unique spicy flavor. Would highly recommend stopping in for great food and great service.

Fast friendly service even when the place is jam packed. Great tap list. Food is hit and miss. The collard greens are a must.

Came here two days in a row! The first day I came I had some kind of lemonade drink. It was supposed to have bourbon, but I opted to get a virgin version of it, which was absolutely delicious. Also had some jambalaya and for a jambalaya in the middle of the city at a bar? Man this shit was amazing. It had the right spice level. The shrimp, sausage and chicken were perfect. The rice had the right amount of flavor and it was a perfect portion. This is the first time I think I finished a meal in like six years. I wanted to lick the bowl! I ended up spending about $25 with my drink and the food. I came back the next day with my friend, Morris. We ordered the same drinks again this time he got the one with bourbon in it (a double shot) and we shared the jambalaya. Which again was absolute amazing delicious.l. The drinks were nice. Vibes were great, & I am literally gonna make this my new hangout spot whenever I'm here.

I have dietary restrictions so I have to be careful where I eat & what I eat. Khyber is one of my Happy Places; the funny thing is that I have never dined in. Yet my plant-based/vegan food is consistently: *packaged with care *tasty and available in a timely manner for 3rd party delivery. My usual is the: Creole vegan butter popcorn, Vegan Po Boy w/o mayo & fresh cut fries. All set for my NYE picnic with the fur baby. Happy New Year!

A festive atmosphere at this Southern-themed restaurant bar. I enjoyed my conversation with the friendly bartender and my delicious stout. Splurged on some New Orleans style food. Fried fish Po Boy was tasty. Crab hushpuppies sat too long in the fryer but that saved me from eating them all!

Came here with a group of friends on a Saturday night and had a great time. The bartenders were super nice and kept yhe good/drinks flowing. We weren't able to get a table because there was a 3 hr wait BUT there was room in the bar area so we just stayed there the entire time time. The bar was packed from the time we got there until the time we left. The food was pretty good for bar food & the drinks were decent. Overall we all had a really great time there!

Great beer selection, delicious tofu sandwich (need to come back and try all their vegan dishes!), and lovely intimate atmosphere. Got seated next to this sick lamp - you gotta ask the staff what they're made of!

Excellent food and service. Had the Gumbo and Jambalaya along with cheeseburger for the grandkid. Order of fries was crispy, fresh and pretty huge. Great atmosphere.

Recently I've been doing a gobbler series on social media and have been trying all the different gobblers in Philly. I ordered the gobbler here for delivery and was blown away. It had truly been my favorite one so far. Everything you love in a gobbler was perfectly done. Soft bread, wet (lots of moisture from the gravy and stuffing) and perfect amount of cranberry sauce and the turkey was moist and tender (perfectly cooked). It was so good!! Next time I will definitely be going in for a visit to try other menu items. It was also a quick delivery and packaged nicely for such a messy sandwich.

Nice relaxed spot whether you're at the bar or sitting in the dining room area. A bit dark and cozy inside, nice to unwind after a long day. Good drink menu with many choices of beers or cocktails. Extensive with more than just the usual. Food menu has lots of pub stuff for a snack or lunch/dinner. Good burger and fries. Nice big bun with juicy patty, and fries nice and crispy. Thanks

Got the shrimp and corned beef po boys. Surprisingly, I liked the corned beef one more. The pimento cheese dip was very yummy. The voodoo chips were good with the dip but would break relatively easily. The banana fosters custard was my favorite part of the meal. My friends and I finished it before we even remembered to take a picture. It was so rich and creamy. Overall solid pub food

Great pub with a great beer list, a laid back vibe in the afternoon and a busy jubilant atmosphere during the weekend night shifts. We went 3 times over last week since we were staying up the street and round the corner. Thank you Jake for the conversation and for taking great care of us on my birthday. The barleywine and shot of fernet surprisingly did really pair nicely together.

Gumbo, Po Boy and Tom's signature tequila drink! I call it conquistador! It's fire!

Our waitress was very friendly and ended up leaving a pitcher of water once she saw we were parched. The salad bar wasn't huge, but there were some cold dishes along with salad fixings, which is part of the vintage charm. The bread (not complementary) was also a huge round loaf great for sharing. The decor's medieval vibe is very charming and it's nice looking around the room. The kitchen is open to the dining room with big brick ovens. I had the prime rib which was big and juicy (the baked potato was fine but the Yorkshire puff was bland and barely editable soaked in juice - may just be I don't like this food). The steak came with a giant onion ring which was delightful, and it was cooked perfectly tender. This place thrives in your meat and potato staples, so not a lot of side options except what's at the salad bar. For dessert, we had to try the peach melba delight, which was a giant goblet of vanilla ice cream, peaches in juice, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. Deceptively simple but extremely tasty and great to share There's a large bar area and the bathrooms are nice. This place is great for larger groups that include older people. The food is good and the atmosphere did feel like it was from another time, but we had a good time, and it's nice to see a place like this still around.

As a vegetarian, I can't recommend their seitan cheese steak highly enough - it was savory comfort food wrapped in a perfectly balanced amount of delicate hoagie bun. The bartender informed us that we could not sit at the table unless we were ordering food. At this point we ended our pub crawl and left defeated scratching our heads. We asked for the toppings on the side because, you know, kids, but WOW. The vodka sauce was delicious, and the pickled tomato concoction that came with them? I could've bathed in it. The calamari was perfectly crisp and came with the unexpected bonus of onion rings, which were ever-so-lightly battered and perfectly crunchy. And once again, the sauces were superb. The boys shared a cheese pizza, half pepperoni, and really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the burger, and yes, I stole a bite--and yes, to no one's surprise, it was amazing. We also ordered the charred broccoli after seeing everyone rave about it online. They were NOT wrong. Creamy, smoky, charred perfection. And finally... drumroll please... the 10 oz. smoked Duroc pork chop! OH. EM. GEEE. Perfectly charred on the outside and incredibly juicy inside, sitting in the most delicious smoky morita-apricot glaze and topped with a bright cucumber-melon salad with mint and blue basil. The contrast was perfection! The rich, smoky pork, the sweet and slightly spicy glaze, and that cool, fresh salad on top. Every bite had the perfect combination of flavors and textures. Easily one of the best pork chops I've ever had. As wonderful as the food was, the service somehow made the experience even better. From the minute we arrived, we were treated like family coming home for the holidays. Warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. What an absolute joy of a restaurant. It was still good, just not as "lobster ravioli" as Im used to. The pizza is a very thin crust but they did a wonderful job of not burning the crust despite this. There was a lao a really nice distribution of pepperoni throughout the pizza and it never really gave that "greasy" feeling that can happen.
