She was a great employee, reliable and honest. Due to that, she was the 1st I reached out to care for my 2 dogs. She also came to babysit my 2 children. Everything was great until the last time she did overnights. My family went away for 1 week in Nov for a 50th wedding anniversary and I hired her to care for my dogs. My elderly dog has had recently had a stroke and was on multiple medications due to her condition. I never worried for a second while I was gone. However, when I returned from my trip I noticed many things were "off" in my home. One of them being all the beer in the house gone as well as beer caps under my sofa cushions, 2 of my new pans were scratched so badly I threw them away, I couldn't get the TV to work bc it had been completely rewired, new items were opened etc. I contacted Magda and asked if we could talk. I asked if she was the only one staying here. I also called and left a msg. She has yet to return a call, text or refund my money, that was 3 months ago. I ended up looking through days of camera footage and she was living here with a man who had no authorization to be here. (never met him) She also left him here by himself during the day. She barely walked my dogs. I'm just grateful they are ok. Now, I was more than willing to talk things through with her. I am literally shocked that this is the way a business owner would handle themselves. As I teach my 7 year old, if you do something wrong you talk it through and make it right. After helping run a dog walking company myself for 7+ years I dealt with many issues. It is not pleasant, however, you have to be willing to deal with the good and the bad when you own a business. I am not sure what changed with Magda, I would perhaps have been willing to talk it through however I was never given that opportunity.

All of us miss her and hope she thrives in her new country! I found Didi on Yelp when I accepted that I am, in fact, too lazy/occupied with babies to walk my dogs, even though I spend most of my time at home. I reached out to her about walking them a few times a week and she got back to me right away. We set up a time to meet and she ended up taking them on their first walk later that same day. For the next eleven months, Didi walked the bassets almost every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:30 to 1:15, dropping off Duke, the senior hound, at 1:00, then taking Milo on an extra jag to get out more of his naughty dog energy. She was always on time, always kind and communicative. The few times she had to miss a walk--for jury duty, or to get married, for example--she let me know far in advance. Our house has been pretty chaotic this last year, what with a fast-growing toddler and a new baby, and Didi was an enormous help. The dogs love her, and they got plenty of fun and exercise on their tri-weekly walks, even as their parents were occupied attending to human children. Didi also sent pictures from every walk, and she is a fantastic pup photographer. We were sad to say goodbye to her earlier this month, but are grateful for the time we had together (I'm sure the bassets would say so if they were more articulate). It was also nice of her to introduce us to a new dog walker before we even thought to ask--we were able to transition without the boys missing a day of exercise. Through consistent training, our dog took to commands and now his crate is his safe space. His anxious behavior has been calmed through what Tal taught him and us: look to us (owner) when unsure and listen for commands and nonverbal cues. We as owners, learned how to use affirmative commands and be the leader/alpha for our dog. Our dog is a gem inside and out of the home: he can sit/lay down on command and for significant amounts of time, allowing him to come with us to restaurants, breweries, shopping, and on flights. Dulce, (which means sugar in Spanish), has an extremely happy and outgoing personality that is amazing. She is a love bug and smart and protective too, so she possesses great qualities. But there were some challenging behavioral issues that needed to be addressed. I Desperately wanted her to be able to come with me absolutely Everywhere as my Service Dog, but she was a bit (or a lot a bit, lol), too rambunctious, especially to take her to my doctor's offices and restaurants, etc. As my Service Dog she needed to be quiet and still. I was positively crying over it. I have instability issues when walking and I also suffer from PTSD, so she was to be a 2 for 1 Service Dog. Then I met Leri, (because of a purchase through Offerup of all places). She very generously said she would give my sweet girl a lesson, even though she predominantly teaches and shows Pit Bulls and other larger breeds in competitions, even Internationally! She is amazingly accomplished. I was very honored. She gave us several lessons, and Lots of homework to practice her techniques on our own, and the results were pretty quick and phenomenal !
