This place is the epitome of why I never go to Campbell. Talk about a racist establishment. If you enjoy being racially profiled and engaging with petty pointless fights with their sEcUrItY then this is the place for you. First of all, we were denied access into the bar at first. Were lied to that there was no patio area. Then when a non person of color needed to be "escorted" with her handful of shots a patio magical appeared! Guess it just wasn't for the people of color. The security do nothing but discriminate as when an incredibly intoxicated person literally fell off a bar stool and needed assistance security did NOTHING. When a patron at the bar was so drunk and couldn't figure out how to get home they did NOTHING. And random bystanders had to help him. Not to mention when my friend confronted the security that lied to us about the patio he made up some bogus excuse basically making up his own rules. Then runs to his manager, lead or whatever and tells him that we cussed him out. FRAGILE LIAR. No one peeped one cuss word when we simply asked about why we were treated different. Oh, but when an altercation broke out that we were not involved in THEN security was ready to do their job real quick and point their fingers at the only minorities there on their make believe patio. The security harassed us all the way to across the street because we were not about to be sitting ducks for something we did not do. The slender beanie wearing lieing security tried challenging me and my female friend to a FIGHT. A FIGHT. He is around 6 ft and we are small females. Then they proceed to accuse my boyfriend of starting the altercation when he was the only one sober and had nothing to do with the fight. And when we called them out for racially profiling us the other security proceeded to tell his that he can't possibly be racist because he has a black girlfriend. WOW. That's this establishment for you. Sticky nasty floors, patrons who suck at choosing good karaoke songs, and racist, fragile male security who aren't looking to protect anyone that doesn't look like them. The only good thing I can say about this place is that the bartender that helped us was quick & efficient. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this trashy place. read more

Its a hidden gem in Campbell...right under the water tower a block off the main strip. First of all, its called Khartoum..not Khartoums, Cartoons, or Toons...Its the capital of Sudan but why its named that, no one knows...although the name of the horse that ended up in the bed in the Godfather was called Khartoum also...this bar opened around the time of that movie...coincidence? Anyways...Sunday and Monday nights are the best if you just want to chill and hang out with friends. Tuesday night they have Trivia at 730pm , and its pretty damn fun...If your team wins the overall prize for the night you win pizzas and prizes, etc...AND its surprisingly packed. Wednesdays they have a lame DJ who tries to hit on all the girls. Total creep. Thursdays is karaoke...always packed. Friday and Saturdays there is no entertainment, but always packed...sometimes even a line...but ive never seen a cover and it always moves quickly. Its also a great place to watch sports...8 or 9 flat screen HD tvs...and they have the football, baseball and hockey packages. They also do this sweet promotion that no one knows about...If you bring in your Sharks ticket you get 2 for 1 drinks before and/or after the game! Light rail stop is in the parking lot so you cant really go wrong there! Consistently strong, fairly priced drinks...lots of friendly people and it truly is the easiest place to get a drink quickly on a busy night. Cardiff is WAY overpriced, and Katies you'll wait FOREVER to get a drink...plus they cant have people on their patio at night anymore so why even bother. Ive been going there on weekends and for trivia for over a year now and ALL the bartenders are super friendly and fun if you get to know em....especially Miles and Lyndon. DEFINITELY need to have Jon Taffer RESCUE this bar. This bar made me SO sick!!! EW EW EW!!!!!!! Horrible bar ever. I have been going to this bar for years now and finally had the guts to say something. This bar is SO gross. When I say gross I mean that the furniture has cum and holes all over everything. Not only did the manager ignore me for 29 minutes at the bar waiting for a drink, I saw the manager and many bar staff taking shots right in front of me while I was waiting for a drink during that time, I was so upset. The bar is disgusting and dirty. Staff is drinking on the job right in front of me while her shift. I said that is exactly why I would rescue this bar and she said "well It makes me money." Any drunk girl bartender that lifts up her shirt mid shift for everyone to see her bra and tummy is so unprofessional and should not be in any bar. Mind you the bathrooms are gross. No girl will go in the bathrooms and feel comfortable even putting a Liner on the seat. That's how gross the bathrooms are, I have been to this bar many times and It is always the same. I have given it plenty of chances. This bar is gross you can feel the sticky ness all the carpet, which is the entire bar. The blonde bartender who wouldn't tell me her name ( probably because she knows she messed up ) made me feel like unvalued clientele. I asked her for some water at the end of the night and she told me it was by the door. When I walked to the door it was empty with no cups so I went up and told her. She then told me to check the other door. (This is after I had to wait in line again for water , while she filled up a drunk mans water at the bar ) I then went to the other door which had extra cups but no water and I stocked the cups at the other door. If you care about your clientele then you would make sure when they ring their bell at last call that both are fully stocked. And whoever the blonde bartender is with tattoos - how come you made your pregnant coworker get my friend water instead of making me walk to both locations. It was unfair especially sense you filled some mans water in front of me. So rude and shows you don't care. Big thanks to your other co worker for going above and beyond for us. This review is for Sundays at Khartoum...NFL FOOTBALL! They have 9 flat screens (all in HD) and show every game that is on! They have $2 Bud Lights and a bloody mary special as well...As mentioned in the previous add, the bartender on Sundays, Lyndon, is a diehard Chicago Bears fan and is always dressed up in head to toe Bears gear. It seems to have turned into a Bears hangout as 8-12 Bears fans are there each and every week this year...although they always show the local teams on the big screen, the Bears fans are loud and proud. This is the best place to watch a game if you're not concerned with food. They do have a food spread every week (and sometimes BBQ on site) but it seems to be designed for people to have something to snack on...not to have a whole meal. They do let you order pizza or bring in whatever food you want though :) They normally open at 11am, but im pretty sure they open at 930am on Sundays.... My recent visit to Khartrum Bar in Campbell was nothing short of a nightmare. Upon attempting to engage with bartender Nikki for service, I was met with appalling aggression and unprofessionalism that left me shaken and deeply disappointed. Nikki's behavior went beyond rude; it was downright hostile. She began yelling and even resorted to throwing lemon and ice at me, actions that were disgracefully captured on the bar's security cameras. Feeling utterly disrespected and unsafe, I couldn't believe the lack of professionalism displayed. This experience was a stark reminder of the importance of customer service and basic human decency. Khartrum Bar failed miserably in this regard, and I strongly caution against patronizing an establishment that allows such behavior from its staff. Save yourself the trouble and seek out venues where customers are treated with respect and courtesy. read more

Khartoum is one of those places that you go to in a bad mood and leave in a great mood! Well, that was my experience anyway. I celebrated my shop's anniversary in downtown Campbell and was ready to call it a night, but my friend's dragged my out to Khartoum. I had the best time ever. There was good music, the drinks rocked, and the crowd was me low, but fun. I am so thrilled that I went out that night and I can't wait to go back. Kelly, one of my friends/ customers bartends there and I told here I'd be by soon to see her. It seems as though everyone who works there is genuinely nice, which is rare...I mean do you know what bartenders have to deal with every night! lol I also applaud the Khartoum employees because they are involved in downtown Campbell and really get involved in the community. **zero stars ** This place looks great from the pics, but was a terrible disappointment. First, there isn't a menu. I asked the bartender for any drink recommendations and the most inventive idea he could come up with was a vodka soda. I added a lime to be fancy. Second, the drink itself was watered down. He added less than a shot and then charged me $25 for that poor excuse for a well drink! He conveniently didn't hand me a receipt, but I'm guessing the $25 included a nice tip for himself. Third, I saw a huge cockroach walk across the floor! I get that most places probably have them, but this roach was huge and in plain sight. I don't want to imagine how bad the issue is there. Definitely don't recommend this place.. rip off, terrible service, limited bar, and cockroaches!!!! read more

Thi place blows I came on a Friday night and after hanging out for an hour I randomly got grabbed and thrown out. Everything about that seems so discriminatory or illegal. I was given no reason and then even worse they would not let me get my ID back or jacket which by the way are stolen now. Also the bouncers have a huge power trip I've seen them randomly beat up people and get away with it. This place needs to close down or get better management. This place is fun on weeknights but not on weekends ironically and it's all cause of the crowds. Of course, the crowds on weeknights are going to be very chill and laid back compared to the weekends.
