The shop is filled with a variety of Asian pantry items and snacks, but we came to try out the boba. Unfortunately the menu we saw online - as well as the front poster on the window - were not up to date, and the list of drinks you could order was a small list of 10. The staff got our orders and slowly made her way through them. She did make a few mistakes in our drinks, but I felt bad as she didn't have anyone to help her. - DRINKS - It's pretty syrup-forward and also powdered flavor for the milk teas. Not the worst I've had but also again, my expectations were already low. We were happy to get out of the heat for a little bit with the few tables they had inside. - OVERALL - A cute local shop that needs more employees to help out, and maybe expand the menu once again.

Let's be honest, you're not going to Bozeman for boba, but if you're craving a boba, Black Pearl…read moreTea House is an okay spot to grab it. I N S I D E It's a small spot a couple of tables to sit at as well as bar seating. There's a few grocery items and snacks that you can buy. M E N U There's food on their menu but I believe when we went the only bento available was the teriyaki chicken. We got a variety of items as our whole family came to get food and boba. The teriyaki chicken bento was standard, a little underwhelming but sizeable. The char siu (bbq pork) bao (bun) was okay. The black milk tea was okay and the boba was inconsistent in texture. S E R V I C E I think we kind of overwhelmed the one person who was there and I felt really bad for the people ordering after us. They were very patient. The service was great and kind. Easy to pay with credit card. O V E R A L L As I have no other boba spot to judge in Bozeman but have had boba in California a lot...I would say Bozeman is in its starting phases of boba. It's like Tapioca Express to me with a much shorter menu. A good way to get boba introduced in the area. Definitely try them out!

Another nice feature: the menu prices seem to be adjusted to include tips because the payment system didn't prompt for one. The big problem is the food itself: I feel obligated to warn you. Wow. Please read the menu descriptions carefully and ask questions. Don't trust photos. Don't expect this food to taste anything like the same item at another restaurant. The beef udon noodles came out wet and not hot. Lots of water pooled in the bottom. The sauce on top was like marinara. Never seen udon served this way. Ever. I'm hoping this doesn't start a trend. The fried rice was not fried. And, in fact, was also not hot. Our experience was so obviously and immediately disappointing (I took a quick bite to gauge heat and choose condiments) that I tried to warn others behind us in line. Yikes! I hope SOMETHING on her menu is awesome and she thrives while eliminating these dishes.

What a huge surprise and disappointment - the server handed me one of this store bought ramen mixes that you add hot water too and the noodles become soft. I didn't even eat it I was so frustrated - this is a $1.73 product that they passed off as "real" ramen (big noodles, fresh vegies, real beef, etc.) What a huge disappointment - should not be invited back next year to festival.

Tables plates, dinnerware, glasses, napkins, etc, fresh roses were all a step above most Thai places. There are a few oddities that I've not seen before: 1. Traditional plates that would always come with rice at other Thai places had to be ordered as a side (curry dishes, pad Thai, etc ....). At just shy of $20 it seemed odd to add in rice. 2. Summer roll was small and more expensive than most sushi rolls I've ordered. Price/quantity was off on this one and it didn't come with peanut sauce (available for up charge). 3. No fountain or on tap drinks; which actually is pretty common for Thai restaurants, but thought I'd note it. No refills on soda. 4. Portion size was ok. Overall this place was fine. Almost rated it as 3 star, but It was closer to a 4 star due to ambiance and nice staff. Portion size to price was the final element that kept it lower.

We got a table without a wait, but they were people waiting when we were done eating. Menu got the standard North America Thai restaurant selection but also has a few items I haven't seen. Got the Thai Ice Tea slushie and that was decent. For entree, I got the namya pou curry which is a spicy seafood curry with rice noodles. Has some heat but not too bad. Very flavorful with the coconut and creamy savoriness. No complaints about the taste, but 3 stars because the portion was pretty small. The price wasn't expensive, but it was the smallest portion entree I've gotten from a Thai restaurant in the US. Needed to get more food afterwards.

We had a large group, so we ended up booking the mid-tier set menu. Note that if you're a cilantro hater...almost every dish on this set menu contained cilantro, except for maybe 1-2 dishes and obviously the desserts. It's not explicitly stated in the ingredients for each dish, so we didn't initially think it would be an issue for the member of our party that didn't like cilantro. But as each dish came out, we saw that they LOVE to use cilantro here. Just something to be aware of. If you hate cilantro maybe you should ask them to leave it out of whatever you order. Highlights from this set menu for me were the Sichuanese Beef Salad and the Lazi-Ji Chicken Wings. The chicken wings had a nice spicy kick! Everything on the menu was decent, although the curries were a bit underwhelming and watery. The Coconut and Pandan 'Tres Leches' Cake was good too, although I didn't taste the pandan flavor at all. I enjoyed the lamb skewers, but I know not everyone likes lamb, so it's interesting that they have it on the mid and upper tier set menus. I feel like they should probably provide an alternative option for those who find lamb too gamy. Overall, a great option if you're looking for Asian food in the area!
