I was very hesitant to try this place out due to everyone's high praise. The bar was set very very high before even stepping inside... but that didn't matter because they absolutely nailed it! The flavor is incredible. The food is fresh. It's unique and is a minority owner in the kitchen himself making everything with love. I would suggest everyone try at least once. But be warned the estimated wait time is usually double due to so many orders. Don't order if you have somewhere to be by a certain time. I'm sure this will get better with time! I had a 5 star experience today at Khalil's. Rudy the owner was very nice and attentive. He helped us access the QR Online menu so as to order. Once we ordered the young lady cooking and working the register didnt even allow us to tip. They just wanted us to have a good experience, and was it great! Probably the best food I've had in Brockton. I got the Jerk Chicken Loaded Fries (LF) and my buddy got the Sweet Chili Chicken Loaded fries. Both were superb, huge portions and reasonable prices (at about $15 a box) we were both full and very satisfied. The fries were crispy. hot and fresh and the Chicken was well spiced and very tender. Checked out Khalils last night and the food was amazing! We spent $38.45 total for two items which can be a little pricey but good portions! I will say that the wait time was long! One of the most inconsistent, unorganized and unprofessional restaurants that I've been to. The wait is always long, even when you order ahead of time. There was one time that I was waiting in there 40 minutes after ordering online. Not only did I wait a long time, they gave my order to one of the door dashers even though I was there before them and then proceed to claim that they ran out of what I ordered and gave me something else. Another time, They allowed a homeless person to solicit the place while he spoke sexually and visibly made the customers uncomfortable. Today, although I placed my order my order 30 minutes before I arrived, they told me their system was down after I arrived and wasted my lunch break. I've ordered from here 5 times. I wanted to really give it a chance before leaving this review. The premise of the menu is good. However it's not well formulated. Menu lists the items available to order with no further details or description. Example I just ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. No mention of what comes on the sandwich or if it comes with a side or fries. I had to ask the young lady at the front and even then she didn't know ... she had to ask. Fix this, it's a stupid problem. Now on to the food. It's just ok ... and that's all. And for the price? Should be absolutely phenomenal. Khalil sauce taste like absolutely nothing and anything you order is covered in it. The food just isn't as good as I hoped it'd be and I gave it several tries. First of all, the service is horrible, I've ordered twice and each time the wait has been 40+ minutes. I ordered the chicken sandwich with a and plain cheeseburger. The chicken sandwich was not fresh and the cheeseburger was not plain. Upon calling I was met with lackluster costumer service and monotonous replies. Ordered hours ahead for delivery at a specific time through doordash. Was hosting a few people at my place and we'd wanted to try out this place. Time rolls around I check the app. Driver is waiting at the restaurant for over 20 minutes and ends up canceling. No big. Maybe the restaurant is behind on their orders. It was a 5 pm order so not technically the dinner rush but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Second dasher gets there. Waits 5-10 minutes then calls me and says the restaurant is saying they never even had an order in my name so they have nothing and they told him to just contact me and deal with it. Doordash was amazing because they refunded me immediately and apologized but it was insane being left with no food and 40 plus minutes wasted when I ordered ahead. The restaurant couldn't even extend the courtesy to contact me directly. I felt bad for the dasher who drove all that way and likely won't get paid. This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I were looking for something different and this place hit the spot. We ordered delivery from Grubhub and it was still hot when it arrived. We got the sweet chili chicken loaded fries and the jerk chicken mac & cheese. Both were unreal, but if I had to choose, I'd say the sweet chili chicken loaded fries were my favorite. So glad we found this place. We will be ordering from here again. Can't wait to be fully vaccinated so we feel comfortable eating in restaurants again, this place will be at the top of the list. Ordered the sweet chili Mac and cheese expecting the chicken to be coated with the sauce and the Mac and cheese to actually include cheese. Instead I was given sweet chili Mac the whole this was tossed in this gross sauce, the pasta had a weird grain like taste and undercooked. I am utterly appalled at the service, the jacked up prices and the lack of flavor on the rewarmed food. nothing was fresh it all tasted like it came from the freezer. i ordered from the menu that was there and they actually told me that the computer doesn't honor the prices from the menu (which doesn't make sense) when i asked for justification i received attitude for asking why my meal cost 60+ dollars when it should've been a dinner plate (12.99 w/2 sides, which i had to pay for separately) Also they added on a tax charge and gratuity of 9$ and when i asked about that they stated it was "the computer" and that they couldn't change/delete it. They need to figure out how to REALLY COOK a meal or at least hire the right people who want to cook and not just use the microwave. I want my money back but dont know who to contact since the OWNER is NEVER THERE. We gave our food to the homeless and i pray they enjoyed it because we didnt. read more
