Food was good jerk chicken was hot I just wish the cabbage was more softer other than that delicious and I'll be back highly recommend

Brandon N.

First time trying here and was neither impressed or disappointed. The fried chicken and curry / jerk chicken were a highlight. The brown rice and beans were pretty good but very mushy. The yellow rice and Mac n cheese needed some flavor or seasoning of some sort. The plantains were hard and seemed old which is weird since I went during prime lunch time. The service wasn't bad but my first time my questions seemed more like a bother than interested in being helpful. I wouldn't say don't try it but it wouldn't on my list either.

Oxtail Meal
Denise F.

The oxtail was tender and flavorful. I love that they give a good amount of gravy on the rice. The rice was cooked perfectly! The meal came with a side of steamed cabbage. They were out of plantain but, theirs is usually good. The restaurant has a few parking spaces, there's also street parking. There's tables inside with plenty of traditional dishes and dessert. The employees are always friendly and greet customers.

A great foray into Haitian cuisine. The Haitian Griyo dish was delicious and quite massive for the…read moreprice. It contained griyo (fried pork shoulder), rice and beans, bannann peze (fried plantains), pikliz (pickled veggies), side salad, and Sos Ti-Malice (warm hot sauce). The fried items in the dish were both flavorful and quite tender. The pikliz (pickled veggies) were a necessary, very tasty complement to the dish. The hot sauce was nice and quite balanced spice-wise. I also got the Soursop with Ginger and Lime drink (ask for their fresh juices). It was refreshing, with an intense ginger burn after each sip. However, it was pretty expensive at ~$9. Note that certain pictured menu items may not be available and other available items may not be on the menu. Definitely ask them for the current day's items. +1 for the solid service!

The restaurant was beyond dirty, apparently left in a very poor condition from the day before. The cleanliness was extremely concerning, and honestly, I believe the health department should inspect this place as soon as possible. A restaurant should not be operating in such an unsanitary environment. Unfortunately, the food was horrible, and the drink was nasty. The prices were expensive, there was no parking, and the entire experience made me feel sick. I truly do not understand how this place has a 4-star rating. In my experience, it was the complete opposite--sloppy, unprofessional, and unacceptable. **Stay away from this place. I would not recommend it to anyone.**

I enjoyed my experience at this flames location. I have frequented the one in Dorchester, but the…read moreBrockton location is closer to me now and has parking. I actually went on a venture for some Haitian food, but there was an hour wait so I opted to try another local Caribbean location. I was apprehensive at first because I like to stick to what I know and I can imagine all locations are not created equally. Anyway, I sat in my car contemplating until I saw four people walk in, with no assimilation, and thought, "this place must be good!" I hopped out and stood in a now growing line. While waiting they played some mix of music, which I currently don't listen to but it was on the screen and I couldn't help but enjoy it! It took me back to my college years when I listened to secular music. Thanks for that Flames! While in line I watched to see what others ordered and what I mostly saw were the chicken wings, stewed chicken, and oxtails. None of which I wanted since I'm trying to go pescatarian again. I decided to try the curry shrimp with yellow rice, vegetables, and plantains. Of course I asked for gravy. The ladies were very pleasant and served with a smile. When I got home....it was over! The rice was the right texture, look, and flavor. The curry shrimp was flavorful and it came with onions, peppers, and gravy. The vegetables were steamed and the plantains were perfectly cooked. The food was delicious!!!!!!!!!!! I will certainly go back to try the fish.

The service here is always great, fast and friendly. The food is even better. My go-to is a plate…read moreof rice but I got some patties today, chicken and beef. It was delicious and savory, especially the chicken. If you add cheese and coco bread, you are sure to fall in love.

I'm surprised that I'm just finding out about this place, as I'm Haitian and only live 10 min from…read morehere and have not heard anyone mention this restaurant. It could also be b/c it's away from everything on South Main St. I randomly came across it here on Yelp. So my cousin & I decided to go for the Sunday brunch and it was decent. We asked how long had they been there and they said a year. It's a full buffet and the seating is interesting b/c they have a room that looks more like a dining room/banquet hall with large round tables & white tablecloth (after-church family vibes); then the next room which was more modern & more our vibe is a sports bar with high top tables, booths, and flatscreens @ the bar. The place was clean and the food was good, authentic Haitian cuisine. However, if you're looking for some diri djon djon (the famous Haitian Black rice), I wouldn't come here.. it looked more like a darker diri kolé, the rice wasn't black at all & didn't taste like it either.. wish I took photos. Everything else was on point tho. They had 3 rices, legume, lalo, macaroni, chicken, crab, fish, griyo, beet salad, everything that's standard for Haitian food (minus patties, fried plaintains/banan & the aforementioned diri djon djon). They even had bouyon and soup joumou which we were too full to try but I thought it was cool that they had. The mimosas the bartender made for us were delicious and he was friendly. While we were there, I noticed way more ppl ordering pickup than dining in. We were the only patrons in the bar/lounge area at 1 pm on a Sunday. The music was 90s-2000s R&B which I was surprised about but LOVED. Also, as a previous reviewer mentioned, please lookout for the extra charges on your bill! Thankfully from that review, I thought to hit the ATM to bring cash. But I noticed that they have now disguised the "Pay Cash, Save 3.99%" line item on the bill as just "NC" (which I'm guessing stands for "No Cash"?). So I had to explain to our server that we're paying w/ cash & he had to bring the bill back to recalculate without the extra 4%. THEN they add gratuity even if you're a party of 2 which I've never seen... but then again I don't go to buffets, so not sure if this is standard. So keeping these things in mind, I'll be back to support. Hopefully more ppl hear about Sisters 2 to keep business booming so that they won't have to resort to shady charging practices to be lucrative. Otherwise, the food is certainly worth a try for the variety of choices alone.

I placed a medium sized order of 5 plates through DoorDash for pickup. After I arrived back home…read morewith my food, I noticed they gave me 4 wrong items (I ordered Diri Kole and they gave me Diri Djon Djon). I called back to notify them and the employee named Caleb picked up and was instantly defensive and disrespectful once I said that my order was incorrect. He told me that Diri Kole and Diri Djon Djon are the same thing, then he told me that he can give whatever he chooses if them item i requested is unavailable. Even when we told him that our concern was due to an allergy, he was dismissive and was rushing me off the phone without a resolution.
