I got compliments from a lot of passersby on my way home - I'm so happy to find her! Update - I can tell the hair is of good quality - after several washings and torture sessions with the blow dryer, curling iron and flat iron - the hair still looks and feels soft, glossy and bouncy. Pricing - Good hair extensions are not cheap. Some salons charge in the 4-figure range as they take hours to put in. ( quality hair + hourly charge = $$$) So having said that, Claire's prices are reasonable when compared across the board.

HOAI REFUSES TO LET ME FINISH MY REMAINDER FACIALS AND ISNT OFFERING CREDIT FOR THE REMAINDER. HOAI ALSO SAID THEY CAN NO LONGER ASSIST ME BUT STILL HOLDING ONTO THE $500 FOR THE 2ND MEMBERSHIP I SHOULDVE GOTTEN BACK A MONTH AGO WHEN I HAVENT EVEN FINISHED MY FIRST MEMBERSHIP. HOAI CALLED ME INSANE AND THREATEN TO SUE ME FOR WRITING A REVIEW, ALSO WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR HARASSMENT WHEN I WAS JUST TRYING TO CLARIFY SHE WOULDNT HONOR WHAT SHE SAID WHEN I FIRST SIGNED UP! PLS SEE HER TEXTS TO ME IN THE PICTURES ATTACHED! I had my first facial with Hoai's facial program back in March at her fountain valley location and was advertised a bunch of services .. microdermabrasion, this machine that tightens your skin, photo facial, etc. and had a great experience.. At the end of the facial, Christine, who was the tech at the time stated if I become a "member" of their program, I'd get 3 months of facials for $450.. At the time i thought that was a great offer and enrolled immediately and received a certificate and signed a paper. Fast forward a couple months, I get a call from Hoai June 11th stating she needed money to get this location going, so she told me about this crazy good deal where if I paid $500 upfront, I'd get another 6 mo (instead of the usual 3 months). Hoai charged my card but I never signed anything nor did I get a Contract or certificate. She also never once mentioned to me the Fountain Valley location would close and she'd eventually only have clients get facials at this location only. I also noticed during this time I wasn't getting all the services I was advertised with in the beginning when I first enrolled and it was due to one of the machines breaking and her taking the other machines to this location.. meaning her clients at Fountain Valley wasn't getting what they signed up for. I had ask her to return my 2nd membership a month ago (she never mentioned to me eventually I wouldn't be able to be seen at Fountain Valley) and she said it would take about 2 weeks. A month later I'm texting her to schedule my remainder facials I have left from my FIRST membership, and that's when she finally texts a picture of this location and confirmed my appt time and to go here cause Fountain Valley closed. I told her it's too far (I'm from Long Beach) and I'd like my refund immediately due to her not mentioning anything about this new location. Hoai once again tells me she can't refund and that it's stated in the contract (I never signed a 2nd one and when I ask her for the copy of the "contract" she doesn't reply). Hoai also stated I can no longer finish my remainder facials from my FIRST membership and even called me insane! Just because I'm asking for a refund on the 2nd membership doesn't mean she can take back her words of stating I can still finish off the remainder of my first membership.. She didn't even offer credit for the remaining facials either and stated shed try to charge me for harassment with her attorney if I continued to text her when I was only trying to finish my remaining facials and was trying to clarify she wouldn't honor the rest anymore. Please please do yourself a favor and know what kind of business you're dealing with and the customer service Hoai provides to her clients for her facial membership program. For those of you who still decides to pay the lump-sum money upfront first and are "promised" an X amount of facials, please at least have something in writing regarding when you schedule your appts (even cancellations or reschedules) and also if she offers "free facials" or "credit" for a mishap or referring someone, please also have it written in some paper or text form.. Hoai is horrible at keeping track of how many facials clients have had, and also forgets when she tells you she's giving you a "bonus" or "free" one. I didn't think it'd have to come to this, but I'm so glad most of our conversations were thru text for me to prove what I'm saying. I mentioned to Hoai I would write a review share my experience and she even threaten to sue me for "defamation of her business".

I have been going to Espy Hair since 2009/2010. Before going there I had literally used every kind…read moreof extension there is... I was so sick of spending hundreds of dollars on fake hair that would continuously shed all over my house, I was fed up with spending $300 dollars for bundles and then having to spend another $200-$300 to get the weave sown in. I had a background in pageants and I remembered loving one of my competitors hair and thankfully she had written a thank you note to ESPY hair so a few weeks later I called to make an appointment. When I got there it was love at first sight, we tried on a ton of wigs and I knew this was the route I wanted to go, I could just keep my real hair braided and throw on a wig! I was a student at the time so of course I couldn't afford the wig at that time but it looked so good that I saved for about 6 months and went back and purchased my first skin top wig! It was soo gorgeous and so natural looking and everyone at my school was constantly wanting my hair! Since 2009/2010 I've bought about 4 wigs. I've had all of them cut and colored and they are without a doubt the best hair I have ever used. Recently, I got a little tired of wearing wigs so I bought a bundle of clip-ins from ESPY and they match the texture of my hair perfectly!!! I also forgot to mention that I have continued to do pageants and I have worn ESPY wigs in every competition and always placed! Last year I was 4th runner up to Donald Trumps Miss Nevada USA and this past January I placed top 10 and Miss California USA. Hair is everything!!! When your hair looks good you feel good and I can truthfully say I will never leave ESPY when it comes to extentions. Shira is great and always knows exactly what I'm looking for. She's really good at making sure that the hair looks natural. Listen--COG Hair is the REAL DEAL!!…read more First, let me start by saying that I don't let just anyone do my hair. Like many Black women I know, I've had some traumatic experiences with hair loss as a result of "professionals" braiding my hair too tight and causing damage to my scalp and strands. When I reached out to COG, Ejiro responded quickly, consulted with me about what I was looking for, and addressed each of the concerns I had. This helped me to relax a bit as it was clear that she knew what she was doing! When I agreed to have her do my hair, she told me exactly what hair to buy and even sent the name/address of several beauty supply stores that carry it. When Ejiro and I met in person she was both punctual and professional! I anticipated sitting in the chair 8-9 hours, however she installed small neatly parted, waist-length Senegalese twists in 5 hours--record timing!! She was quick without compromising the quality of the style or health of my hair, which is very important to me. The twists came out beautifully! I am so pleased with the result. They are now 5 weeks old and I still get compliments on them almost daily. Also--there was never a dull moment in our conversations. We hit it off from the very beginning and were laughing like friends who'd known each other our whole lives. Prices are very reasonable as compared to other shops I looked into. Needless to say, I'm thrilled to have found my new stylist in Los Angeles. And the best part? Ejiro can do it all! So when I'm ready to switch up the style, I'm confident there is nothing she can't do! :)

After searching for about a month, I found Natacha thru a referral, and lord am I grateful!!! This was my first time embarking into the world of weaves, so I was nervous about how natural it would look and the comfort level of a sew-in. Before I made my actual appointment, Natacha brought me in for a consult and discussed the weave process with me, how it would protect and grow my hair under the sewn-in, and how the leave out would also be cared for and protected. After almost 2 hours of answering all my million and one questions, she gave me suggestions of where to buy good weave based on the style I wanted (I asked because I hadn't the slightest clue) and booked my hair appointment. Fast word to appointment day...I was so excited based on the initial consultation, and Natacha DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I was extremely pleased that she books appointments one person at time, so you don't feel like your waiting forever in between for others to get their hair done too. Natacha made the entire experience pleasant, talking to me about what she she was doing the entire time. Once she was done, I couldn't believe how F-ING AMAZING my hair looked! (Que 45 minutes of selfies and videos) She did an outstanding job at not only laying the weave flat so my hair didn't look bulky, but blending my leave out seamlessly. MY HAIR LOOKED GOOD! Before leaving, Natacha made sure talk to me about how to care for my new hair style, and products needed to do so. Apparently moldy, smelly weaves is a thing, so I listened and took all the notes like a good student. 6 weeks later...MY WEAVE STILL LOOKS FRESH AND SMELLS GREAT. Still getting compliments left and right! Natacha has got some SERIOUS TALENT. WORTH EVERY DAMN PENNY. I will be a repeat costumer. Thank you Natacha for making my first weave experience an extremely positive one! I'm officially hooked! Be prepared for even more Nigerian YouTube videos at our next appointment :)

So I'm disappointed you decided to put some of them back up again in an attempt to further destroy my character and negatively influence how businesses perceive me on this platform. As a result, I will begin to peruse this matter legally. 1st response to Natacha: I will be looking into legal options for the lies and defamatory statements you have publicly made about me. Everything you said is a lie, and I can prove it. I NEVER said I didn't want to pay for a consultation. I asked for the price so I was prepared with the money when I got there. You responded saying you'd waive the fee without me saying anything. I will post screenshots to prove you are lying. I also didn't refuse to take off my hat. Why would I come in for a HAIR consult and not wanna show my hair?? My hair is NOT damaged and I will post a pic taken the morning of our appointment. It's 22 inches and incredibly healthy. Worst of all, you spread lies about me having open sores on my scalp?? That is not only a bold-faced lie, but it's disgusting and incredibly defamatory. Just because I gave you a bad review that you deserved, you attack me personally? You absolutely did NOT spend 1 hr and 35 minutes with me. YOU were over 10 minutes late for our 2:30 appointment while I waited outside in the sun. I'll post texts to prove that too. How was I there for 1 hr 35 when I went in at 2:41 and I left at 3:04? That's 23 minutes, which is shorter than our 30 minute consultation time. How dare you! This is proven further since you texted me at 3:09 PM with the name of the hair supplier AFTER I left. I will prove it yet again by posting the text I sent a friend telling her I was still waiting 10 minutes past our appointment time. Still wanna stick with that lie about the time Natacha? When we were done talking, you even looked at your phone and said "oh perfect timing, I have a client in 5 minutes". Please Natacha, pull up security footage from Salon Republic and show the world how fast I left. Our encounter left off on a friendly note with me NOT verbally attacking you and me NEVER begging you to do my hair. You said you'd text me the name of the hair place you recommended. Why would you text me that AFTER I left if I was verbally assaulting you and got kicked out? Please show the footage of us in good spirits and talking friendly while you validated my parking ticket Natacha. You NEVER referred me to a dermatologist either, another lie. You said you wouldn't do the weave because I wouldn't like it. Point blank period. No conversation about the condition of my hair was ever had because there is NOTHING wrong with my hair or scalp. You never even looked at my scalp, just ranted about how you thought I couldn't afford hair. You also never told me you were rejecting me as a client. You said to let you know when I found an extension place I liked, validated my parking, and said "let me know. And that's the God's honest truth. I'm sickened you have chosen to attack my character and even spread lies about my health. You can't make up lies without repercussions. Again, I will be seeking legal advice for these libelous statements you have made. It's egregious and I will do what I can legally to protect myself. (Original Review) I saw Natacha to consult about tape-ins but leaning towards a full sew in so I can protect my hair while I grow it out. Once I asked her about the weave, she told me that she wouldn't do it on me because, in her words, "I don't think you would like it." Hmm... I thought it was up to me to decide whether or not I would like it? I did my research prior; I didn't show up ignorant, but I was treated like it. She then made it seem like the cost of the hair required was going to be a lot, as if that was a problem, which it wasn't. Didn't even matter since she already said she wasn't going to do it, but I was offended she thought money was an issue while knowing nothing about me. When discussing tape-ins, she said she doesn't offer maintenance on them because she can't charge what she feels she should. But she offers application of them...then what? Your client has to go elsewhere after that? Doesn't make sense. I was quite annoyed at that point and eager to leave. Because of this experience, I feared approaching other stylists for a sew in out of fear of rejection. I then saw another stylist and went with a technique I hated and wasted money on hair and services. Fed up, I contacted other stylists to do what I originally wanted. Luckily, I've found many amazing stylists who are more than willing to do my weave without hesitation or false assumptions. There is nothing wrong with my hair and no reason why I was told "no" other than Natacha's desire to think she knows more about me than I do. This should never be how you approach a prospective client, or anybody at all. I do not recommend her.
