WORST EXPERIENCE EVER -- I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!…read more I brought my laptop to Micro Center because one hinge had come loose from the back cover, but when I dropped it off, the laptop was still together and the screen was working perfectly. I was told they needed to take it apart a little to determine how it could be repaired. When I went back to pick it up, I was shocked to see that both hinges had been removed and the LCD was literally hanging from a wire. This is NOT the way I brought my laptop in. Then I was told that the only way they could fix it was to replace the entire LCD assembly, which would cost $395 PLUS tax, on top of the $50 diagnostic fee. That would have been a very expensive repair for what I originally brought the laptop in for. I was also extremely disappointed with the customer service. I felt like I wasn't given a clear explanation as to why both hinges had to be removed or why replacing the entire LCD assembly was supposedly the only solution. The staff was not friendly or helpful, and I left feeling extremely frustrated. I decided to take my laptop to a local laptop repair shop for a second opinion. They looked at it and told me that I did NOT need to replace the entire LCD assembly. They said they could replace just the cover and repair it for $190. I'm very glad I didn't agree to Micro Center's repair. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before spending hundreds of dollars here. I dropped off my laptop with it still assembled, and I got it back with both hinges removed and the screen hanging by a wire. Extremely disappointed with how my laptop was handled and with the customer service I received. I would not recommend this place.

Ended up in the wrong place, so decided to go after venturing into Manhattan for shopping. Came back from Manhattan and I had a few bags with me from shopping (had an Osprey trail bookbag, Nintendo NYC Store bag, and a random other bag). I must have been tired, but it felt like security was really aggressive getting in front of me and asking me what I was looking for specifically. Showed him my phone with store pickup and ID and he directed me to the long checkout line. It felt like I was being profiled by security. I get it, there's a lot of theft in NYC, but it was really off putting since I was going to browse first. Though, security let other people with bags in without even questioning them. Luckily, there was someone asking for people with store pickup and I was the only one with store pickup. However, I've never experienced someone who couldn't scan my barcode, then typed in the order number manually, but that didn't work either and asked for my phone number. At this point, between security and store pickup, I definitely didn't want to browse. I'll wait until I get back to the Denver metro area for friendlier Best Buys. The kicker was the security people were saying friendly goodbyes to everyone else except me, so I told them I'd write a review.

I originally went in on a Monday to get some repairs done on my MacBook Air, and the store was packed, so I made an appointment for the following Thursday. Upon arriving Thursday, I initially had a pretty good experience. The technician I worked with was really cool and ran a variety of diagnostic tests on my laptop. After a while, he came to the conclusion that something was wrong with my WiFi antenna, and that it would need to be replaced. This is where things started to go downhill. On Tuesday, I received a call from the store, telling me to call them back when I was able to. Well, when I went to call them back, it was absolutely impossible to get in touch with anybody at the store. The phone line ran an artificial prompt, which ran me around in circles, and then put me on hold for minutes at a time. Eventually, a representative from Apple told me that they weren't able to get in touch with anybody at the store, and that they weren't able to get any more information about my computer. Following this, I had no choice but to go into the store. When I got there, they told me that there was a larger problem with the hardware than they had originally anticipated, and that I would either need to trade in my computer, or have it repaired for essentially the same price as a new one. Mind you, I purchased this computer about a year and a half (1.5) before this, so I inquired as to why it was already nonfunctional. They told me that I must have gotten a defective computer. Well... if you sold me a defective computer, why is it now my job to either buy a new one, or get it fixed for the same price. Sadly, I had no choice but to trade it in and get an entirely new unit, which wasn't exactly financially convenient. When I asked how to prevent this in the future, I was told to purchase a monthly AppleCare subscription. So, no matter which option I chose, I would be spending money, and Apple would be gaining it. It came off as kind of scammy to me. I love my iPhone, but when it comes time to buy a new laptop, I think I'll be switching back to Dell, or exploring some other options. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Apple laptops.

I must say it was not always smooth sailing, but no place is perfect. My professors held me accountable for doing my part, they are smart, dedicated and approachable. I have put in the work that my professors set out for me, as every student should, and accomplished what I set out to do. See for yourself, and remember this is a school that is preparing you to have a professional career, think critically and make wise choices In life, if this is not your goal then, this is not the school for you. Nursing is a vocation, it's not a walk in the park. With self discipline, hard work and perseverance you can have your degree at St. Paul's School of Nursing In several months.

Recently, we received an email stating that students are not permitted to enter classrooms before the scheduled class time so that instructors can "prepare the learning environment." However, in reality, many professors arrive exactly at the start time or even after class is supposed to begin. Meanwhile, students are expected to stand in hallways or find somewhere else to go even when we arrive early after work to study. The only alternative spaces are the library or cafeteria, both of which have very limited seating. It feels unreasonable to pay out of pocket for an education and not even be allowed to sit in an empty classroom while waiting. We then received another email about elevator use, which is understandable for accessibility reasons. However, the message stated that misuse could result in parent/guardian contact. This is a school of adults, and many of us are parents ourselves. Including language like that clearly shows how little the administration thinks of its students and reinforces the feeling that we are treated like children rather than responsible adults paying for a professional education. Another major concern is the lack of respect and support from some faculty members. For example, Professor Jayne Kier is extremely unapproachable. Students feel uncomfortable asking questions because responses are often sarcastic, dismissive, or met with long, intimidating stares. There is little guidance provided, yet students are made to feel as though they are wrong for seeking help. This creates a stressful and discouraging learning environment. Lastly, it often feels like students cannot safely voice concerns. When issues are brought up to administration, they are dismissed as complaints rather than taken seriously even though many of us are committed, adult learners who care deeply about our education and future careers. It is incredibly disappointing to be treated this way as paying adult students. We invest our time, energy, and money into this program, yet we are treated as if we are receiving a free service and should simply accept it without question. The tone and treatment are not only disrespectful, they are humiliating.
