Frustrating experience for drive thru Cashier Zoraida arguing with car ahead of us.. This should have been an indication of things to come We put in our order for a 2 pc chicken meal /2 sides and a bucket of chicken We requested 4 BBQ sauce and 2 plates.. ZORAIDA said she could only give us 2 sauce. We would have gladly paid for the other 2 sauce but she shut window and walked away mid sentence.. Did not give us 2 paper plates either Our chicken was fresh and delicious.. But our experience detracted from the meal. We stop by this location at least once a week.. I guess you can say that all these fast food chains have a standardized method as to food preparation, but, it is undeniable that depending on how lucky you are... sometimes you get juicer chicken. I only go to KFC when I have the craving for THEIR style (original) fried chicken. I only know of two locations in my "immediate" area and they are both very much so out of my way. I had better luck at the Flushing location some months ago. In spite of my going there very late.... Their chicken was juicier and fresher. Probably one of the worst experiences ive ever had. They refuse to send potato wedges when ordering online every freaking time. At least send fries bro. I ordered BBQ wings. They must of ran out them cause instead they sent me Buffalo wings covered in Honey BBQ sauce... nice... I ordered the wedges and wing combo. Not only did I get spicy wings covered in BBQ sauce They didnt sent me the "Fan favorite Box" they sent everything separately to be slick and NOT send the wedges. I also ordered 2 of every sauce for an extra .50 cents. Instead I got 1 of 3 sauces. So they shorted me on sauce that I paid for. They sent me spicy wings covered in Honey BBQ hoping I cant taste the difference and in hopes I ignore the Buffalo sauce clearly left on some wings. They also sent me an Ice tea with No Ice. Stop being cheap and take responsibility. If you dont have an item reach out and say something. Dont just assume everything will be fine. We all work hard for our money and getting half of what I paid for is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I paid over $60. I expect to receive what I paid for. Failed. Awful. This is the kind of KFC that one would see out in the 'burbs and frankly, the rest of America. No, this isn't the usual NYC KFC location where it's split with some other fast food joint and serving a limited menu. It's full blown with a drive-thru, spacious parking lot, and a decent amount of seats on the inside. Frankly, it's the only look I've ever seen for any fast food joint. (#1) In terms of the menu, it's got everything any typical KFC would ever offer. I've had some killer versions of their original recipe fried chicken (#2) but this location only produces a half-hearted version that tastes like it's been sitting out for awhile. They still run a number of deals, like the $5 fill up and have even partnered with various online delivery services to give this place some range. And of course, the customer service is always suspect. Some days it's a friendly voice on the drive-thru with reasonably fast service and some other days it's a guy at the counter who can't get the order right. I've had more mishaps on the order front here than any other KFC but given the landscape of mediocre fast food in NYC, this isn't really saying much. One thing to note about this location is that they frequently run out of things. That's never good. Calling ahead of time would be recommended but see previous paragraph about the shoddy service. ____________ (#1) And somehow here in NYC, we still manage to somehow screw this up. Went in to order 4 orders of 2 piece chicken meal. Which I had ordered a few times. This time asked for 2 orders sided be Mac and cheese and 2 orders mash potatoes. Paid then while waiting noticed was charged a $1 more then usual. There was and additional charge for the Mac and cheese. Asked the cashier and was advised there is a $.50 add on fee when you substitute another side for the mash potatoes. I told him I should have be told there is a surcharge to substitute the sides. Terrible customer service. I buy from KFC on a weekly basis as I purchase multiple $10 buckets on Tuesdays. The promo code is applicable to one bucket per order so I have to place multiple orders. This week I placed my orders ahead of time and scheduled for pickup. i had done this before and collected at the drive thru no problem. However, on this occasion I was running late but still showed up during the store's business hours and yet the staff decided to close the store early. The big neon Drive Thru Open sign was lit up when I arrived and all lights on inside except whoever was inside decided to hide. They had no problem taking my money but could honor their part and wait until pickup was fulfilled before closing up shop. I showed up the next day asking for answers and I was lied to over and over again by the lady manager who was inexplicably rude and doubled down on her behavior from the day before justifying the fact. Her story changed several times from "the orders were automatically canceled" when the machine produced the ticket to "we made the orders but no one came so we didn't wait." I never received any such indication that my orders were canceled. Instead I received a "how did we do?" email to indicate the orders were marked picked up. This woman manager is such a liar and frankly it's disgusting how selfish she is and that they don't care about their customers at this store. Don't bother ordering ahead they just might do the same to you and you'll be empty handed when you arrive looking to pick up your food. Totally despicable, utterly irresponsible, and lacking any and all accountability. Won't be shopping here again. Spare yourself the headache too. read more

Hi to whoever is someone's birthday on the day I came to this store my first time. Happy birthday! Since I am unable to give him something on my first time visit in this place, I give this place a 5, full rating for his birthday! Anyway, my last time I dined in KFC was September 27, 2018 in Fresh Pond Road gas station parking lot between Eliot Av and Metropolitan Av. The food was nice, and only if I don't eat too much of their food. Also, here, it reminds me of my happiest day that I was home alone in Thursday September 27, where my parents were still on vacation for one week that day. And the service after I had made my order this day June 29, 2023, was unexpectedly quick, which makes me happy that my expectation was exceeded. They have one woman that can understand English, the rest of them do not understand basic conversations. After I got my bowl with the cheese not melted, I asked the woman at the register to please melt the cheese. She didn't understand after a minute I thought she understood but she just gave me more chicken lol after a few more minutes of trying to translate " the cheese is not melted " I had to ask to speak with someone who spoke English. Ordered delivery and the person making the order and packing clearly did not give 2 craps about it. The lemonade was packed into the same bag as the fried chicken and guess what, the chicken was soaked b/c the drink spilled a bit at the bottom. The chicken take out box was soggy and fell apart when I picked it up. The fried chicken sandwich was HORRIBLE. They put 3 chicken tenders between the bread. If we want food from KFC we will go this place, cause to my experience the food quality of this store is more stable than other KFC stores in Queens. They have a small parking lot which is good for 7-8 cars. So if you are unlucky, you have to wait for a parking spot. For most of time, they only have one cashier taking care of the in-store customers. Employees are friendly generally and the dining area is reasonably clean. Many times we met some commercial personnel trying to sell CDs (of course not related to KFC) to customers in this restaurant. How is it that I've driven past this place so many times but never stopped in? So recently we went there and tried some of the $5 fill-up meals. Their drive thru actually is pretty quick compared to other fast food drive thrus, a pleasant surprise. The pot pie is absolutely the bomb dot com! I think this is my new go-to meal. So much filling and the crust is light and flaky. Also loving the little reusable containers too they give for the coleslaw. read more

I went there yesterday since my daughter has been wanting those popcorn chicken they have on sell. Upon putting my order in I said I wanted the extra large popcorn chicken in which I was inform this only comes in ONE size.... I found it ODD since GRUBHUB has it in their website to order. when I proceed to paid I ask my daughter to check our order.... this of course after she swipe my card. It was not. I told the girl ZORAIDA if that was even the manager's name... this is why I asked you for extra large, this is not what I want and I show her the picture of the ad on the website. The food here is great. No complaints there. But I've been to this KFC about 5 times. There is only once I've been treated with respect and courtesy. Every other time, the staff have seem so agitated. The person that runs the show, I believe is the supervisor or shift lead or hope to goodness not the "manager", all seem very frustrated and honestly mean to the staff and customers. The last I came in to order food, the cashier had to jump to another POS till and asked my order again. I gladly retold him and he forgot to change my side orders. I made it clear to him what I want. Before letting them continue to make my order I asked the shift lead can I please have these sides, he told me to do it when I had order and that I am creating problems. I told him I did. He went ahead and shout at his team that "the customer changed their mind last minute." Stepping inside this store, be prepared to talk to some angry employees ready to fight. Honestly the place is clean, the food is great, but the team is just sour. I've come here during the afternoon, at night, before closing, it's all the same. For such a big order, this establishment was very cheap by not including enough or even required dipping sauces though they included exactly the extra dipping sauces that were paid for. No napkins, no condiments, no flatware, no dipping sauces or enough dipping sauces for items purchased. I got the sweet and spice bowl and well yes I did enjoy it very much. I ended up coming here twice in the same week and tried there other new bowl the Tex-mex bowl it was ok I preferred the sweet and spice could just be my own taste buds. I also picked up a bucket of chicken and mash potatoes and sweet corn for the family. So I tried the new "Double Down" sandwich at this location today. Even though it's been mocked as yet another creation of pure self-indulgent fatassery, it's not nearly as excessive as most people might think. I mean, it should be no surprise that advertisers often make their featured food appear more decadent and fulfilling than what you actually end up paying for. Truth is, there's really not much substance in the "Double Down" sandwich; as is the case with most items in fast food chain restaurants. I think I tasted some sauce and some cheese in there, but everything was pretty much lost in between those two average-sized fried chicken patties. It's basically the same as just eating plain boneless white meat chicken strips, definitely not worth paying $6. I should have expected as much but I was disappointed nonetheless. KFC, I haven't had KFC in YEARS. We wanted Bon Chon but it was too far so KFC it is! We got a $13.99 10 piece Bucket with 4 Biscuits. There's just something about the bucket, it's just fun to walk around with a bucket of fried chicken.... I think I've been brainwashed. Both Original and Extra Crispy were good. I feel like reviewing a KFC for most people is akin to reviewing another major chain like Tacobell or Dunkin Donuts where there is shocking consistency in both food and atmosphere at the locations around the country. I'm a lifelong vegetarian, and the last time I even had a side dish from KFC was at least 15 years ago. That being said, getting food here was a novel experience for me. The boy reaally wanted fried chicken for the Superbowl, and to my surprise my foodie bf's top choice was KFC! I was expecting him to go for some southern joint or even korean but nope he wanted KFC. I had a spread of mexican fare already for game day but I figured it wouldn't hurt to thrown in a few american sides to give KFC a try. Our order was ready LIGHTNING FAST, which surprised me on the big game day, but they clearly have everything pre-made in massive quantities. Biscuits: Fluffy and decent. I definitely prefer popeyes more buttery biscuits, but these are pretty good if you have butter.honey and/or something moist to eat them with (gravy?) Macncheese: Pretty plain but actually a really good consistency and very cheesy. I generally find restaurant macncheese hugely disappointing but I didn't hate this one. Doctored up with sriracha, pepper, garlic and dijon it was pretty darn good. Potato wedges: Pretty good flavor but kind of soft from sitting around, I wish the outside had more of a bite to it. Brian C. loves them though. Apple Turnovers: Pretty much the same as the ones at any fast food chain, standard but for some reason I am a sucker for them. Had to add cinnamon but otherwise these were good. Reese's Pie: I have no idea why I was thinking this was an ice cream pie. It's definitely not. It was a thick cream 'pie' almost like a cheesecake. It wasn't even refridgerated cold. Small piece but very rich and heavy. The reeses one was a little salty (thats coming from a girl who loves sweet&salty) so if you have to order one, I'd go for the oreo instead. We asked for couple things on the menu and every meal we asked for, the answer was "we don't have that."
