Well, first time ever trying brays and now the last. I'm from out of state was told to try this…read moreplace but first red flag, no one on the parking lot and no one on the drive thru. Then as I was going to sit down, a teenager came up and said no dine in, only carry out. Ok... then ordered my food and realized I didn't even tell the guy what drink I wanted and he didn't ask. He just served me coke. Then got my food, and no chili cheese fries. By that point, I realized they wouldn't even care to fix it so called it a loss and left.

Disappointing experience at Brays today. I went through the drive-thru and placed a sizable order…read moretotaling around $48. When I got to the window and handed over my debit card, I noticed I was charged an even $50 instead. Though it was only a couple of dollars more than expected, I didn't say anything at the time, thinking I could just tip the staff, which I did, adding an extra $5. Once I got home, however, I discovered that two of the burgers I ordered were missing. I called the store, and the young man who answered was the same person I had dealt with at the drive-thru. I explained the situation and asked if he could either note my name for a future visit to give me the burgers or refund me. He apologized that he forgot to put the burgers in the bag and put me on hold to consult with his manager. When he came back, he asked if I could return that same day. I said I couldn't, and he suggested he would write my name down but implied that if they forgot or lost the name, I would be out of luck for the $10 worth of burgers. I found that response unacceptable, told him such and requested to speak to a manager. The shift lead, Robert, assured me he would write my name down and take it to the manager's office, hoping they would honor the mistake when I return? Not sure if there is a lack of training or lack of caring but there should be some system in place for when these mistakes happen, it's natural for things to get missed occasionally. Curious about whether this issue was common, I checked other reviews online and have found that I'm not alone. It seems several customers have also reported being charged incorrectly and having similar problems. Overall, I understand mistakes happen, but the lack of follow-through and accountability was frustrating. I hope they can improve their service for future customers. I can't say I was a regular for Bray's but me and my family have gone many times over the past 25 years. Today has rubbed me the wrong way, and now I feel like a Karen for having to post a negative review. I will definitely be looking into the overcharge though now, since other reviews have also mentioned being overcharged. Oh... the food I did take home wasn't bad.

The New Location is Clean, Well Staffed,…read more and Even Better Than it Used to Be. Staff was Professional and Friendly - Great People Order was 100% Correct The Food Was Delicious - Especially The Hush Puppies Stop Here Anytime You Want Good Food Served by Great People. I came here yesterday, this was the single worst fast food experience I've had in recent years…read more I ordered the two piece fish combo which included 2 pieces fish, waffle fries, and hush puppies. I added an extra piece of fish and a side of coleslaw, both for $3-something each, and some fried pickles with ranch. What I received was the two piece combo and the pickles. I instantly went back to the counter and let the man know my extra piece of fish was missing. He said I didn't order an extra piece. I informed him I did, I paid $23 for my order and, although the kiosk doesn't provide a paper receipt, I knew what I ordered. He insists I'm wrong for an uncomfortably long amount of time. Then, after all that, he says "I'm just messing with you. You did order it, I'm just playing..." well by now there is no fish, they have to make fresh, and I stood there at the counter no less than 20-25 mins waiting for one piece of fish. At one point during the wait, the man tells me someone else will bring the piece once it's done, he's "taking his break and watching the game." I continued waiting. He returned and handed me my fish, which I had continued to wait for apparently during his entire break. By the time I got to the table with my full order, I ate the food but it was poor quality. Even the sauces I had requested from him were incorrect and I had to go back to the counter again for sauces. The FIVE waffle fries were cold and soggy, the two original pieces of fish survived okay but were no longer hot, hush puppies were soft, room temp, and greasy, the coleslaw I paid $3.25 for amounted to about 2-3 tablespoons and way overpriced for nothing special. The quantity of both the fries and coleslaw was ridiculously small. The fried pickles were basically soft grease discs at that point. It was all pretty much trash except for the fresh piece of fish. There was no line, there was no excuse, there was no urgency or accuracy. The guy working with the people should be reassigned into another position that doesn't require customer engagement because I observed him telling at least two other people after me they were wrong and that's not what their order said, etc. We don't get paper receipts, nothing to point to and show what we ordered. This is a major disadvantage as a customer, considering he was continually failing to read the screen correctly. On the way out, I heard a man at the counter telling those behind the counter that he was worried he was about to be late from his lunch break because he had waited almost 30 mins for his food. I empathized, realizing I was not alone, then turned and looked out the window to see Captain Jay's Fish and Chicken sign next door. They can literally see the sign of their competition right out the window, they should be on top of their game to keep the customers from going next door. Sadly, that is not the case. Waste of time and $23.
