This certainly isn't the KFC I remember from the 1960s. The food is just OK, not great as it once was. The current prices make visiting prohibitive for most. But I guess pretty much anywhere has that problem. Honestly, the only redeeming quality is a girl/woman that works there. This took all my time and now I don't even have time to eat. My food will be cold by the time I get to it. If there's any product not available it should be disclosed at the speaker! Not only that but I got 10 salts, 10 peppers and no spork to eat my mashed potatoes.... This order was for one person, not a family. I ordered on the app last night at 855pm. The app said the location closed at 1030pm. I arrived at 925 to find door locked and it was almost completely cleaned for shut down. A young man said we are closed i explained i had purchased an 8 piece bucket with 3 large sides on app and on line stated 1030 closing. Also posted on door was hours stating 1030 closing.He answered we finish our shift at 11pm so we have to close early to get our cleaning done. I then noticed on counter a to go order sitting ask if that was mine. He looked and handed to me. When i got home everything was cold sides all small. Not large all for $27 plus tax My personal opinion is that once again many of our fast food places are being staffed by young people with apparently no older management. My mother stopped into the Show Low KFC on the way home from grocery shopping on Wednesday the 29th and ordered us both original KFC bowls. When she got home she gave me mine and it turned out to be a Mac & Cheese bowl. I love Mac & cheese so I went ahead and ate mine anyway but then I went to check mom's and it turned out she had Mac & cheese as well, which she didn't want that day. I had to drive 12 miles to the KFC as I live a ways from town but I did have business in town anyway so it wasn't a major problem, and when I got there and spoke to the manager, whose name was Berta, I believe, she asked me if I wanted to replace both bowls. I told her I had eaten mine anyway and she said don't worry about it since I had to drive a long way, so we ended getting a free KFC bowl from the trip which I had the next day- lol. Overall a good experience. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because it was a minor inconvenience but not a big deal. read more

To update my review from 5 days ago.... The day after I posted the last review I got a phone call from the stores General Manager to discuss my experience. I'm pretty sure it was because of the same review that I sent to KFC.com and not the Yelp review but either way it was addressed by management. I got an apology and a free 8 pc. meal, which I picked up today. Today my experience was good. Seemed like a whole different restaurant. The order was correct and the food was good. The General Manager does seem to care what's going on at his store and I think he would appreciate any feedback but I don't think he pays attention to Yelp reviews, so if you want his attention it's best to go through the corporate website that's on the receipt. read more

We went to KFC to take food home for dinner. KFC has a decent meal when you need something fast, hot and tasty. The KFC in Pinetop when we went last year was really good so we decided to stop here. We waited in the line and ordered. But when we got to the pay window the girl did not have a mask on at all. At least the staff member handling food had his mask on properly as well as a tall staff member working at the counter. The girl at the pay window and another male worker seemed to be messing around-neither of them wearing masks. The food was hot but I re-heated the food before eating it in a toaster oven just in case. The food was good but the experience made me not happy. I hope the management reads this and corrects the situation. I will not be going back until they decide to take customer safety more seriously. read more

I like KFC but the Show Low Arizona store is the worst. I Iive in Show Low during the summer and Green Valley AZ in winter. Both locations have KFC but there is a very distinct difference in the Chicken. In Green Valley the chicken has a light brown color and tastes fresh made. In Show Low the chicken is much darker in color and looks old and is very dry, not moist. Looks like it was left over and refried. I asked corporate to look into this but the response was "THANKS FOR THE POSITIVE FEEDBACK". I have visited the Show Low store numerous times hoping the food would improve but never happened. read more

I love KFC, but no one does it better than the Showlow location. They are fast and friendly. The atmosphere is great too, I feel relaxed and could enjoy my meal. I had to travel over 74 miles to get to this location but I don't mind because it is that good. Other KFCs that are closer don't treat you the same, they run out of chicken, have low quality chicken or don't offer exceptional customer service like ShowLow KFC! Alert! This is a KFC buffet location! I don't usually review fast food places but given the dismal reviews here I feel it's necessary since I've been coming to this exact KFC off and on for 30 years! As the Show Low KFC OG it's totally fine in my book! I'm not sure what's up with all of the terrible reviews as I was here in October 2018 and it just like any other KFC...plus the buffet! To my fellow fried chicken lovers our there, you know these buffet locations are hard to come by. I live in DC now and we don't have many of these KFC buffet spots on the East Coast. I think the closest one is well over 100 miles away. So I was slightly ecstatic when I saw they had the buffet... Except I didn't get the buffet because I wasn't that hungry at the moment. But they were pretty packed with other customers partaking in said buffet, which up until this point, seemed like a mirage to me as I'd never seen one. It looked pretty decent but I ended up going with my usual sandwich meal and no complaints. The employees were on point as was the food. My kid didn't want to eat at The House (again). He requested KFC, which is a quick and simple 2 minute walk from The House. I told my hubby to order the kid a $5.00 meal deal box and bring it back to The House. The cashier input a 5 piece combo (for an 8 year old) at the cost of $7.99 plus tax, for a total of $8.64. This KFC should hire a new manager and then train staff to make this location worthwhile to visit. Went in on a Sunday night at 6:30pm. Ordered a 12 piece bucket. We were told it will be 20 minutes. Before the remodel, we vowed that we will never step inside again because the food and service was so bad. The chicken had been so long ago that it was totally dried out. I don't usually rate fast food joints for obvious reasons but I feel I need to rate an item at the KFC. I see their ads for their crispy chicken sandwich. It looks great and I have always want to try one. I ordered two, one for me and one for my wife. I did get it to go if that makes a difference. Mine was dry, somewhat hard and not very good. Showed up to the drive through at 1030am, sign says open at 10am. Sat in drive thru for 5 mins and never acknowledged. Drove up to the windows, again never acknowledged. Finally called the restaurant and the teenager answered the phone and said they weren't open yet that they were running behind, very poor attitude and just kept saying "what" and "yea" with attitude. After waiting 5 more minutes during the middle of our order she walks out to a vehicle sitting in the parking lot and grabs keys from someone sitting in the parked car. Horrible service! We asked for a minute to think what we wanted to order, and when we were ready to order, we said "okay we're ready" and it stayed quiet and then she said "then order" with an attitude. Disappointed to say the least! Family here from out of town and was excited to try the Nashville Hot Strip Baskets and as you can see in the photos, it is far from what if advertised. The strips were dry, some kind of spices splattered on them and grease lined the bottom of the container which was half soaked up by the hard biscuit that was included. My daughter ordered the breast dinner and opened up the box when we got hone to find a small thigh, dry biscuit and hard cookie. I usually love KFC but this one is terrible. The chicken was OK, fries OK. I ordered a small Mac N Cheese, get to my car and realize it's not in there. I went back in and waited at the counter FOR 20 MINUTES before they even acknowledged that I was there. Once somebody finally comes (looked like it was the manager) over to me I tell him that they forgot my Mac N Cheese and I showed him the receipt, he gives me a dirty look, goes and gets it, gives it to me and doesn't say a word. I sent my husband over to the Show Low, AZ location. 180 N White Mountain Rd, Show Low, AZ 85901. So when the husband came home, he showed me the receipt and we were charged over 35$ for it. I tried to call the restaurant, and got no answer. The next day I emailed KFC, and the manager of the local KFC called me and told me that deal did not apply in their restaurant. He told me in exact words that they only share the KFC name, and they are not affiliated with KFC, and there are no KFC restaurants in Arizona at all. I told him, I could literally go online and order it, and he told me no, (even though you can.) He seemed quite simple honestly, and then told me for my trouble he would give me a free cake. Really? A $15 dollar overcharge and he offers me a cake? How about my $15.00? Again he told me there are no KFC restaurants in the state, and they can charge what they want. Then he tried to tell me I ordered the $30.00 fill up, which I did not.. I only ordered the 12 piece chicken strips (20 fill up). I did not order a $30.00 fill up otherwise, I would have still been overcharged and didn't get the other 8 pieces of chicken that comes with that. This guy has no clue..Anyway, I won't be a customer anymore because first of all, I was ripped off, and 2nd of all the manager has no idea that orders can be placed online, at that cost.
