Can't give a lower rating. Very poor service. Did not get everything ordered,. Not worth the money.

Hot goodness from a place that's keeping it hot sounds like something you'd find in Florida!…read more Coming here randomly one cool day because I wanted to hot goodness because when your allergies are bugging you hot things will fix you up quick fast and in a hurry so in this case hot chicken being the perfect cure! So out of the goodies they have I went with the tender and slider combo at the extra hot level because I love it hot but not so hot it isn't good and I must say extra hot while it wasn't that hot for me it definitely did make me feel better with that yummy hot flavor on that perfect fried chicken with that yummy slider that had some coleslaw and pickles it really made for a yummy hot combo that I would totally get again! While this isn't my go to spot for hot chicken I definitely must say it's a good alternative if I don't wanna drive that far out as for a chain they definitely do it right! Totally have to give a shoutout to the staff working here as they were all totally cool with positive friendly vibes making for an excellent customer service experience! Overall yummy hot goodness should I come back I'm going for the top level of heat as I just love when things burn my mouth from spicy goodness!

We ordered way more food than we should have, but it definitely didn't disappoint. It is slightly on the expensive side, but they really give you a lot of food for your money. There are five different levels of spice that you can choose for them for your chicken so you have lots of options depending on what you like. Lots of side dishes if you're one to have sides. It definitely took a couple minutes to get your food, but it was very fresh so you can't be too upset about that!

Delicious lomo saltado even arriving via Uber Eats from Apopka to Downtown Orlando! Was craving…read morethis dish and so tired from work, didn't want to drive anywhere to pick it up. They had this dish on BOGO on Uber Eats so I felt like it was a sign. It arrived early and still pretty warm so I was happy about that but even happier when I tasted it! The steak was super tender and swimming in lots of that tasty sauce which wasn't too salty. I got mine with rice and black beans which I didn't take a picture of because everyone knows what that looks like lol. Both of the sides were fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. I would totally get this again when craving lomo saltado and if I'm ever in the area of Apopka I will definitely go! If not, I'll be happy to order via Uber Eats again, especially if it's still a BOGO.

This is a great place to dine at if you want a filling meal…read more The flavors are great in these dishes. We got the tostones to start with, and they were fresh, very hot. But delicious. We get the cilantro sauce to dip with for them. I got the steak bowl. It has rice, beans, and steak. The steak was pan fried and really good flavor. I got chimichurri sauce to put on top. They have really delicious chimichurri sauce here. My husband got the chicken platter. The plantains were sweet, crispy, and soft. The chicken has great seasoning on it. He added the cilantro sauce on top. Couples really well with the chicken. Overall, we enjoy this place! Glad to have them just a few minutes away from where we live!

Multiple visits, and Slim Chickens is still rocking with efficient, friendly service and the food…read morehas always been great. I stick with their sandwiches, as I find them to be the better value. Their brownies are decent too. The team may be small but they definitely work hard without appearing to cut any corners and always a positive response whether you're just ordering, a brief service interaction if dining in, or if requesting anything extra. If you want a great chicken sandwich in a fast/casual atmosphere, you'll likely enjoy your visit.

I walked into Slim Chickens with dangerous levels of optimism…read more Big mistake. Before going, I watched a video on their website where the founders were talking about how, when they came up with the concept, they noticed other chicken tender places in the South "weren't doing it right." Now, they didn't say Raising Cane's by name, but come on. We all know who they were side eyeing. And as lifelong Cane's lovers, that got my attention. Because if you're going to throw shade at Cane's, the food better come out swinging. It did not! It came out dry, bland, and exhausted, with a texture that somehow managed to be overcooked and underwhelming at the exact same time. I didn't know you could ruin a chicken tender. I thought chicken tenders were one of those foods with a built-in safety net. Apparently not. Slim Chickens found the trap door. Then came the sauces. I asked the cashier what sauces he recommended since it was our first time. His response was basically, "I don't really like the sauces." That should have been my cue to turn around and go find literally anything else to eat. I tried the Slim's Sauce, which he described as ketchup and mayo with some herbs. That description was unfortunately accurate. It tasted like someone tried to reverse-engineer a good chicken sauce from memory while trapped in a break room. It was flat, boring, and nowhere near the level of Cane's sauce or even KFC's sauces. The garlic toast was another crime scene. Thin, wrinkled, cold Texas toast that looked like it had been toasted earlier that morning and then left to think about its choices. Calling it "garlic bread" feels generous. Calling it "bread" was already a stretch. The fries were those fake "hand-cut" freezer-section fries with the skin left on, like they're trying to convince you somebody in the kitchen actually touched an actual potato that morning. They were hard, overcooked, and tasted like they had been holding on for dear life under a heat lamp since opening. Not rustic. Not fresh. Just sad fries wearing a costume. And the atmosphere? Weekday lunch in Celebration, and there were maybe two people eating inside. That should have told me everything. A chicken tender place at lunch should have some life to it. This felt like a franchise location already rehearsing its goodbye speech. The funniest part is Yelp has this place sitting around 4 stars, but when you actually scroll through the reviews, there's a suspicious little cluster of glowing 5-star posts from "Elite" Yelpers around the same time. Maybe they all just happened to have the best chicken experience of their lives in the same week. Maybe.... All I know is what we were served was nowhere close to 5 stars. It was barely close to lunch. If the founders really built this concept because they thought other chicken places were "doing it wrong," I have some bad news: Raising Cane's can sleep peacefully tonight. KFC too. Slim Chickens didn't reinvent chicken tenders. They reminded me how badly simple food can go when nobody in the building seems excited about it. With Cane's expanding all over the place, this location better figure something out fast. Because if this is the product, I don't see Celebration celebrating it for long. I'm giving two stars, and honestly, those stars goes to the cashier for telling me he doesn't really like the sauces. That was the most helpful and accurate thing served to me all day.
