The KFC on old Kings Road needs a management upgrade. The people aren't friendly, and I have had several bad experiences with the food. I ordered the wings and they were dry and overcooked . I just got the 2 pc combo, and it was grey and swimming in so much grease it took me 10 napkins to wipe it down. There was something strange about the breading that was unappetizing. I'm really disappointed the quality is so unpredictable . They lost a customer that stood by them for decades. We ordered from kfc at 1045 pm , what a mistake. We ordered a chicken pot pie on line and nobody said they didn't have any since 5 pm. We also ordered a bucket of original chicken with mash potatoes and gravy and a coleslaw slaw, the chicken must have been cooked twice cause it didn't even look the color of the original and it was dried out ,they were out of Cole slaw and the mash potatoes and gravy was a small portion, we also received a small Mac and cheese , a corn and potato wedges . We have given KFC in Palm Coast an "F" for their meals and we are unwilling to patronize them any longer. The most recent visit was a take out order which left us very disappointed. The chicken was hot however, it had very little breading and what was there was falling off. The pieces were undefined; the legs looked like tiny pigeon legs and the thighs were bones and breading with little meat. Not sure what is owing on there. I've had good and bad experiences at this location. Most recently, however, the food and service were excellent. When we arrived for a dine-in lunch at 2:00 p.m. the place was very busy. Four parties were ahead of us in line but the cashier was so quick and efficient that we waited no longer than 4 minutes. Our orders were ready quickly and all of the staff seemed very efficient. Our original recipe fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy were hot and fresh. The cole slaw was crispy and delicious, the biscuits fluffy and light (although I wish they still gave you real honey instead of flavored syrup). We decided to get KFC for a family reunion. We placed an order for the $30 fill up. The whole point of the $30 fill up is to receive two buckets, one with regular chicken and another with chicken tenders. They advertise it as original chicken today, chicken tenders tomorrow, or something of the such. In other words, we needed a lot of chicken, and expected to receive a lot of chicken. Well we only received one bucket, and never received the huge bucket of chicken tenders that we'd ordered.
