Firstly I thought that on a Friday afternoon that the place would be rammed and I'd have to wait an age to get ripped in to those tiny, tender poultry pieces but I was wrong I walked in ordered at the bar and less than 15 minutes later I was presented with a wooden bowl of 33 glazed buffalo wings - all for £8.95! The price was good and the wings did live up to the hype but I wouldn't say they were earth shattering. There was just the right amount of glaze but the wings themselves lacked meat. Yesterday's visit to The Hudson reaffirmed how good the bar is in my eyes - it's such a jack of all trades - serves a whole host of different beers - I had the Sam Adams, something that you don't see too often in Belfast. The sauce had to do that work, and even with 'extra sauce' requested, it was not enough make up for the dry burger. Staff is friendly, but to my palette, the food was barely acceptable and reminiscent of the pre foil-wrapped burgers you get at a hospital or school cafeteria. There's a time and place for that type of burger, but not at these prices.

The ambiance, service and food were all excellent! I ordered the 16 ounce Chateau Briand filet cut, and finished searing the slices on the hot rock at the table just to my liking. The steak was excellent, and the experience was great fun! I paired it with a local Rye River Lil' Bangin' IPA and was very happy! Price was reasonable. Everything about it screams perfection - the dough is always so soft and fluffy, the toppings are spot-on, and the sides just add to the whole experience. It's definitely pizza love (sorry Pizza Hut, you come a close second). When Papa John's came to Northern Ireland a few years ago, I'd never heard of it. The first pizzeria opened in Dundonald, and the second in Dungannon not long after. To this day, these are the only two branches in Northern Ireland, unfortunately. Luckily for me though, it's a mere five minutes down the road. And they do free delivery (usually in super-quick time) if you spend £10 or more. Oh, I am a lucky girl... Papa Johns have consistently good offers on, with a buy one get one free 'Early Week Special' (or BOGOF if you prefer, though that could really be disastrously misinterpreted) on Monday and Tuesday, as well as special carry out prices - £12 for any large pizza which has three or less toppings. I personally love their meal deals - meal for three = medium (12") pizza, potato wedges / garlic pizza bread, chicken wings / chicken dippers and a 1.25 litre drink for £14. The pizza bases are delicious with really tasty crusts, so you want to eat the whole thing rather than littering your house with leftover bread ! The wait time was fairly long on a Friday night, about 30-40 minutes, but they were full to the brim and just recently opened so this is excusable. To help pass the time they have free WIFI (password protected but the staff will give you the code) and power outlets featuring USB ports at every table. Their restroom facilities are clean and accessible, each restroom is its own room, so no stalls. I am in a wheelchair and found their disabled restroom extremely easy to use, the door to the restroom area is quite stiff to open, but every time I went in a member of staff opened it for me without having to ask. The food was delicious and plentiful. I had the curry vegetable with rice and thick cut chips. The curry was mild to medium to my taste. Two other adults shared a burger combo, featuring a Cog burger, chicken wings and garlic cheese chips. Each option of the combo is configurable to the diners preference. This burger and side were very large, but could be eaten by a VERY hungry individual with perseverance and time. Large drinks are a pint size. Dinner for 3 adults and one child cost about £40, although two adults shared one menu item.
