Been here several times this summer, as sometimes we just get that obsession for the taste of the Colonels' classic recipe, and we dont want to cook. They've had a pretty good deal going for Chicken buckets, I think it was $10 for 8 pieces(?). Service is fairly unenthusiastic. But I can sympathize, it must be dreary working in a frying kitchen on these hot summer days. Anyway, each time order was correct, cooked right, and just what we wanted. Although buckets come in earth-friendly paper, KFC uses single-use plastic for their other offerings, so we lose a star. Another reason we just stick to the paper-based bucket. Some State Spicy chicken 4/5 Popcorn chicken 3/5 -Some State spicy chicken was actually pretty good. The sauce that's in has a nice heat to it but not a spicy heat more like just a bite to it. I do think it should be a little crispier and they should soak it in that sauce but then let it drain off and have that sauce as a dipping afterwards. They kind of soak it in the sauce and shake It up in the container and then just let it sit in the puddle of it. -popcorn chicken is what you would expect but the size was tiny. read more

I stopped in after a day of skiing for a quick meal and was intrigued by the beyond chicken special KFC was running. The employees here definitely seemed unhappy with their jobs as they were very short when taking my order. I wouldn't try these again or stop into this KFC again. Throughout the years I've developed low expectations of fast food restaurants. Often run by minimally paid employees, managed by inexperienced leaders, who often have a boss who is rarely seen. Fast food restaurants are about speed and greasy cheap goodies and everything else is a bonus. Based on my low expectations I found myself marveling at this little KFC. The first thing I noticed was how clean everything was. Everything was in place. There were no ketchup massacres, or napkin confetti - it was all clean, neat, and organized. The staff greeted us with smiles on their faces. Smiles! I've long grown accustomed to a scowl or a blank stare, but no, these people were cheery and engaging! As we waited for our food I noticed how they brought out food to waiting customers. The only drawback was a positive as well. What was positive is that they said they didn't like how my order turned out, so they wanted to cook another. The drawback was as they got busier they forgot about my order. Yet, when asked, they apologized and quickly fixed the problem. When it slowed down they came out and washed the tables and swept the floors. It was so clean and fresh smelling in there. Yesterday (Saturday) I stopped for a three-piece meal. By 8:00 PM I was convulsively vomiting and diuretic. My system completely flushed itself. I was back and forth to the bathroom every hour until this morning. Without a graphic explanation I will assure you it was the chicken that was putrid. When I got home we had 2 thighs 2 breast that must've been from the morning because they were so shriveled up and dry that they looked like jerky, a wing and a drum. 3 biscuits instead of 4 and the cake was missing. Ya know, I gotta say, I don't understand why there's such a low review of this place. I've never once had a bad experience here. Tammy, the manager whom is typically on duty, has always been friendly and accommodating. These are working people with a job that isn't easy, and most often is likely thankless. If you treat them with respect, you can't go wrong. The food is always delicious and again, NEVER ONCE have I had a single issue with food taste, quality, or order correctness. Say what you want about KFC, I love fried chicken and I'm a life long fan of this chain. I've probably eaten at different locations hundreds of times and I have many happy associations from my childhood with it. Summer picnics in my grandparent's back yard, eating fried chicken on the beach at Point Defiance in Tacoma, which we did about three times a year when I was a kid. Plowing through a bucket on my dad's crappy old boat on family lake outings and lots and lots of tasty potatoes and gravy. Here's a #FoodHack for you; Try putting a little gravy on the coleslaw. Delicious! Original, Extra Crispy, it doesn't matter. It's all good. Has every meal here been great? No but most have and my kids love it as well now. The KFC in the small town I grew up in became a Mexican restaurant over 20 years ago but I still have happy memories of my mom sending my dad and me to grab a bucket after a busy Saturday working in our yard. July 4, 2013. A big day for chicken lovers! The skeleton crew of 3 were doing everything they could to keep up with the demand- but unfortunately they were failing miserably. We waited for 25 minutes for a 3 piece meal and some sides. There was one clean table in the entire joint and we sat at it. There was no ice in the ice machine. There were napkins and debris scattered everywhere and the place looked like a bomb had gone off inside. At one point we counted 6 cars piled up in the drive through waiting for their bird. I definitely agree with the previous 2 yelpers on this place being generally messy & dirty! I visited this location on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. There were 2 employees (that I could see) working and 1 other customer in the dining room eating. The drink station was a mess with cups, straws, napkins,ect all over the counter. The floors were dirty, as were the tables; I cleaned off a table so I could dine in. The food was so-so, service just so-so. Sky Valley could really use a good chicken only place! read more

One a drum and thigh with Mac n cheese, one with chicken strips and mashed potatoes, a root beer, and a water. First, thought it was cool they gave us 2 extra cookies.
