Stopped by here for dinner after some late extra-curricular activity at the high school. This KFC is located at intersection of RT 114 and Carlisle Pike, highly visible. I'm surprised during this Wednesday dinner hour there was only 1 old couple dining! OK, there were 2 people and 1 person doing the take-out order. But I'd expect more. I read some horrible reviews here at Yelp after my visit. Gees, I was lucky my experience wasn't bad at all. I made a mobile order on my phone at school parking lot. After getting there, I only had to wait 5 more minutes after they acknowledged my name. I got the Taste of KFC 2 pc Deal: 1 drum, 1 back, 1 biscuit, and 1 mashed potato for $6.99; and I used a promo code to get a 3-Chicken Tender Box (with small fries and a biscuit) for free ($5.99 value). So far so good. As for the food, chicken tasted good though greasy and the back piece had very little meat. Fries were salty. Biscuit was great but could be bigger. Overall, not too bad at all. I would come again if there's another good offer. read more

Well here's something I've rarely done - I walked out of this store today without ordering anything. I queued up at the counter with no one in front of me as a gentleman was filling drinks at the counter right in front of me - no biggie - as I used the time to look over the menu board. He then walked back and started working on 'stuff' with 2 other guys - occasionally one would look up in my general direction...but no acknowledgement whatsoever. As the minutes ticked by, more people came in and stood behind me - including someone holding a receipt - THAT can't be good. after a few more minutes I realized my money & time could be best spent elsewhere. Soo...I walked out and drove a half mile down the pike do a different venue where I was treated MUCH better. Taking this restaurant off my list for a while ! read more

The owner of this place should sell it to someone who cares about the brand and the community it serves. This by far is the worst KFC I have ever been to in the country. I have been here numerous times in the last few years hoping the service and food would get better. The service is good sometimes but the food is always declining in taste. The food is rarely fresh unless they are out of chicken and they very rarely change the oil used to cook this food. It's like the managers are told to use old oil and serve old food to save the owner money. This place is destroying the name of this franchise. This place really needs some competition, an El Pollo Loco, Church's, Bo'Jangles or a Gus' Famous Fried Chicken in that area would make this owner step up or get of the chicken business. Either way Mechanicsburg community deserves better. read more

KFC - Six piece spicy wing combo - Fast Food Near Me - Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

My 4 year old daughter got her hands scalded in the women's bathroom today with the "cold water." It didn't matter what we did, the water would not get cold. I reported it to an employee and I heard her tell another employee that it was supposed to be fixed last week. You can see in the picture that her fingers are a different color than the rest of her hand. read more

KFC - Fast Food Near Me - Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

If you want hypertension, this is your one stop shop. Everything is so salty! The food was also not very warm and seemed to have been sitting there for a while. Not going here again. Would not recommend. read more

KFC is an awesome fast food restaurant with a great menu, and this location in Mechanicsburg has the value add of being combined with a Long John Silvers. It's centrally located off of Route 11, and should be a winning location. Unfortunately, the service here is slower than molasses. The drive through is notoriously slow. Don't get me wrong - the staff seem nice, but it is just other worldly how slow this place functions. Also, they never seem to have cocktail sauce for the shrimp. That's a weird detail, but it's true. They also don't carry popcorn chicken anymore, which may be a KFC thing overall, but I've definitely been able to get it at other locations. So if you have some time and don't mind waiting, KFC is worth it! read more

I've had a few experiences with wait times in the drive through before, but nothing huge. I placed a mobile order today and figured I would just go in early, the renovation looks very nice, it's decently quiet and relaxed inside. They immediately figured that I had placed the mobile order and immediately put it together. Everything was great! The biscuit is smaller than I remember but it's pretty filling and my favorite fast food biscuit so I didn't mind the size at all. The famous bowl was awesome, so were the drumsticks. Anyone complaining about the sodium needs to realize that they aren't ordering from a healthy food place, and honestly it wasn't as bad as some of the reviews say anyways! Loved it as always read more

Crappy, old chicken. Poor customer service, lack of care for customers. I hate giving bad reviews but this KFC has earned it.

don't expect them to actually be open till 10 like it says on google maps. staff closes when they feel like it

Recent order of 16 pieces extra crispy, the chicken was undercooked borderline raw, breading barely any. Not sure what happened to the quality assurance, look and feel of KFC on tv versus reality. Horrible experience read more

Whats the point of ordering online if i have to wait in the drive thru for 45 mins to pick up my order. I could see your big sign inside that said mobile pick up here yet all the doors locked. No signs on the doors to say lobby was closed. read more

Terrible terrible service. Waited 30 minutes in the lobby just for my food along with others. Employees just stood around in the back doing nothing. They said they were waiting on the chicken to be done cooking but it had come out 10 minutes before and still no order. Not only was the wait long when i expressed my concern the employee had just ignored me and walked away. read more

Good luck ordering online. It always says "time not available" even when you don't even specify a time. If you call you get a fax machine. These m-fers need to be strung up on a pole and left to fly in the wind. I just want my chicken. Fuck you all. read more

What in the world just happened! I waited for 30 minutes I got to the window nothing had been made yet. I said, I need to see the cheese chicken pizza because there's no picture of it. Can I see it before I purchase it. The person said no you can't. I drove away so disappointed this place needs to close if they can't deliver something so basic as an order. Kentucky fried chicken used to be such an incredible brand. This is so sad It breaks my heart. Drive all the way here and have absolutely no service is just bad. read more

Worst KFC in the area. Good food but takes 45 minutes in the drive thru every time. I've been here 3 times recently and same story every time. Shitty employees who don't know what they're doing. Go to Popeyes in Harrisburg instead read more

To the Manager. Good day. I frequent your store often and enjoy your extra crispy. Last Thursday I stopped to pick up a bucket of extra crispy chicken for my family dinner. I was extremely disappointed when I got home to find all the chicken was mushy and very soft, not even a little crispy at all. DID YOU CHANGE SOMETHING? WHY WAS THE CHICKEN NOT CRISPY? I swear, visiting fast food chains outside of Harrisburg is an entirely different experience! This KFC compared to the one on Jonestown Road is awesome. There is actually a Long John Silvers here as well so if you have a fried fish AND chicken craving, this is your spot! We ordered a 12 piece bucket of chicken to go. It was fresh and satisfied our KFC craving. The girl behind the counter was a little rough around the edges, but friendly and was filling orders very quickly. read more

Grandson and I went thru drive they and we both ended up with wrong food. I ordered a crispy breast meal and my grandson ordered a big box which included a sandwich mashed fry's n Mac n cheese. We both got a 2 piece dark meat meal and when we tryed to call no one would answer the phone. Won't be back. read more

Stopped in and got the $20 bucket. It has been forever since I have had KFC and it was good. The order taker let me know this was the better deal and it came with an extra side. The cole slaw and mashed potatoes were great. They didnt give us butter or napkins. I will need to stop in again and try a chicken sandwich. read more

Do not go to the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Mechanicsburg. I purchased a large bucket of chicken with four large sides and I purchased an extra large side of coleslaw. When I got home which was 10 miles or more away I found out they had never given me my coleslaw or a receipt. To top it off they are not answering their phone. Do not go to this restaurant. I payed over 53 dollars for this meal and a large part of the meal was missing. Caryn read more

Hope was high, long line on a Thursday. Ran into a few issues 1. They ask if you want white or dark but do not tell you white is an upcharge 2. The server in drive-thru was quick to shut his window and never confirmed our order was complete 3. Ordered 3 Piece chicken, received 2 4. Chicken was really dark and tasted as if the grease in the frier was way older and dirtier than should be recommended or allowed 5. No condiments provided or offered It seems the improvements KFC pushed a few years ago have once again gone by the wayside. I was completely disappointed. read more

We've done the take out thing here a few times. Is it my imagination or does it seem like one has to take out a loan to eat here? The food seems really over priced and considering it's all fried it isn't very good for you. I know what you're thinking - then go someplace else. Well, 98% of the time we do but on occasion fried food is the only thing that will hit the spot. The service is usually ok. It does seem like most of employees don't want to be there. read more

Spent $50 on chicken and family size sides (mashed potatoes, gravy, mac & cheese, biscuits and coleslaw), only to get home and discover they didn't give me the coleslaw or a receipt. Tried repeatedly to call the store and ask about a refund, but they wouldn't answer the phone. Food quality was ok, not the best chicken ever but not bad, but really disappointed in being charged for food I didn't receive. Without a receipt I probably won't be able to get a refund, plus it's out of my way to back. read more

I would be very careful when purchasing anything from the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Mechanicsburg. I purchased a large bucket of chicken with four large sides and purchased an extra side of coleslaw and when I got home they not only didn't give me a receipt but there was no coleslaw. I paid over 53 dollars for this meal and was cheated two large coleslaws. Never go there. They are either incompetent or cheaters. I also was not able to get them by phone as their phone was off the hook. I live over 10 miles from this franchise and do it was not worth the gas to drive back. Do not go to this restaurant. I work near this KFC and decided to stop on my way home to pick up some food for dinner. I live in York and normally visit the store on rt30. Ordered the food In the drive thru confirmed the order with the employee because their screen doesn't work showing what was ordered. Get the food and drive the 45 mins home. Open the food and find that the order wasn't correct. Paid for what I ordered and pretty much everything was messed up in the bag. Asked for extra crispy, received original. The soda was flat. Didn't get the sauce on the Nashville hot tenders, also was given no napkins or utensils which the York store always gives with orders. I've learned my lesson and will never stop here again. Also the parking lot is full of potholes that you need to dodge when coming in and going out. read more

First time at this KFC and my last. The most positive comment would be my order was correct. I ordered the $20 fill up to-go, which included 8pc bucket of chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw and 4pc biscuits. It was good. But wow it took 15 minutes to take my order. This location is extremely disorganized. There were only 3 people in front of me. The cashier was rude with a care less attitude. The inside of the restaurant was dirty. Big turnoff for me. read more

Ordered an 8 piece meal advertised cost of $20. Total came to $26.49. I questioned the discrepancy and the employee indicated it was due to taxes. I pointed out the proper tax is $1.20 and they stated the owner charges additional taxes. I didn't want to hold up the line so I left. No receipt was given so I am unsure if this is a scam or lack of proper training. Giving 2 stars because the food was good. read more

Super fast, super friendly,I was there yesterday. Food was hot and fresh. As soon as I paid.the food was ready to go. The Spanish kid kept a conversation while packing our food which was entertaining. The only reason you guys didn't get a 5 star was because of the Arabic man that didn't know english. Messed up our order and then didn't help the Spanish get anything and tried to get mad when the Spanish kid didn't grab our coleslaw. If it was only the Spanish kid y'all would've had a 5. I've been to the store before when the kid was alone and it was the best kfc service experience. His name tag said Wilfreed but he said it was Wilfred. Well, with all that being said I hope next time I come in I run across Wilfreed. And Wilfreed only... read more

Ordered online at 6:34 p.m. Pick up time was 6:45, went to drive thru and I was told by manager that the order would be ready at 7:00 p.m. At 7:15 I had to knock on the door of the store to get someone to talk to me. They looked shocked when I stated my last name. Kinda like that oh crap we forgot your order look. I finally got my order at 7:25 p.m. Got home to find the chicken in the bucket was soggy, they give me extra fries (didn't order), but did give me cole slaw which I didn't order. Ordered extra crispy chicken, it was regular. Over all the food and experience was not good. We will skip ordering KFC again. read more

I placed a drive thru order at the Carlisle pike, Mechanicsburg, PA location, since the doors were locked at 5:30. Half my order was missing. I went back in line, let them know. The manager Steve, yelled and cussed at me for coming back and questioning my order. he told me I wasn't getting my F*ing food and used other cuss words. The lady in the car behind me drove away after hearing his screaming and cussing. So they lost another customer there. I called corporate and reported him. They are going to talk to him about his attitude and void my bill for that day and gave me a coupon for a future visit to a different store. So Steve I did get my food. This location has signs up help needed and only one person on staff today on several occasions. Who wants to work for someone like that guy. Just imagine the abuse his employees get from him if he talks to customers like that. If you look at other reviews, seems to be a pattern of not filling the orders correctly. read more

Here is why I will never again order from this KFC. I ordered a12 piece meal with three large sides ahead online and was told the order would be ready at 5:39 PM, I showed up at 5:41 PM to discover that they have no curbside pickup, you have to wait in the drive thru line even though you ordered ahead, and the line was very long. I tried to call but their phone number went to a fax machine or some device with a message that it was out of service or something. So I waited in line, which once again was very long, It took a half hour to get to the window! When I got to the window, once again a half hour later, I gave them my name and told them I was there for a pickup. The lady handed me a bag that was obviously not my order. When I told them this and told them I ordered the 12 piece with three large sides there seemed to be a lot of confusion amongst the employees but in about 5 to 10 minutes they had it pulled together and gave it to me. So at this point I figured this is probably too much of a hassle to bother with again but then I got home with my order and discovered that the three sides were in large containers but were only half full. With their phone not working, their doors locked and the only way to get any communication with them I'd have to get back in that long drive thru line, which I'm not going to do. So my only recourse is to wright this review and never go back. read more

Staff is unprofessional. The person who took my order had their hat side ways and a cellphone in their hand. Very disappointed. read more

Don't wast ur time with this place. None of the employees seem to care at all about being there, and that translates to IDGAF. They can never seem to get a simple order right, and always forget the most obvious things. On top of that, they hike all of their prices higher than any other location. The advertised $20 fill up is a joke at $23 with their little stickers covering up the advertisement posters and menus. read more
