The staff I interacted with seemed hostile and unconcerned and when I got the okra it was hard and cold and my gravy was only half full. I didn't know until I got it home and I was VERY disgusted. I've had less than ideal experiences here before but this one took the cake and I wont be back. I'll also tell everybody I know to steer clear of this place!

Diane made sure my order was accurate, checked in to be sure everything was right, and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. South First Bar & Grill is a local favorite in downtown Lufkin. This fits the local small-town…read moreneighborhood bar to a T with the tables surrounded by all the tvs and a bar area with a stage next to it to boot. The bartenders and servers know all the locals which is evident every time me and my coworkers stop in here for happy hours or for dinner. They still give us the attention we need for drink refills and food orders. For drinks, it's mainly beer although they have hard liquor available here. I always stick with Miller Lite since it's cheap and they bring it out quick. As for food, it's mainly burgers and bar eats. The appetizers such as the wings, chips n queso, fried jalapenos, and pretzel bites w/ beer cheese are our favorites. Meanwhile, they do good burgers here which are a favorite amongst the team. Each day will have food specials such as half priced appetizers and $1 wings. Check the menu out for the full details. It's a great place to watch sports and grab drinks/eats or catch live music if it's available. This is part of our rotation whenever we're in Lufkin.

Hopefully they will get that issue fixed though. Thanks Team!
