I got lamb ribs and hot wings.. the the lamb ribs tasted like they were soaked in an oil/spicy Cheetos concoction for several years, and then microwaved on high for 10 minutes to steamy barfy perfection. The chicken had to have been days old Praying for my bowels

Now here's a central fast food take out or eat in for all of you who love your junk food! Even…read morethough Bazooka Chicken appears to be similar in style to KFC (almost a pretend version), it lives up to its delicious fast food one often craves and with the addition of a pizza menu, it is hard to resist when you walk past its doors. The first time I ever went to this place was when I was a student which is hard to believe given that I have been in Liverpool a long time. I can't find much to fault with the food and service which is good but beware that the deep fried chicken is very greasy so certainly not for the health conscious. Pizzas are generally good depending on one's taste. I once ordered a chicken and ham topping 9inch in diameter, which not only satisfied my taste buds but actually filled me up and I paid just £3. The crust was medium thickness with a crispy and rich spicy tomato sauce. The only negative I would note is that the interior décor is dated and there aren't many seats for it being the busy place it is.

Fried chicken shops always seem to have a knack of picking the most unappetizing sounding names -…read moredoes anybody really want chicken which could be described as being 'Krunchy'? I doubt it anyway. This place does floured, greased and fried chicken as good as anywhere in Liverpool outside of Chicken Bazooka. They even have numbered menu options should you end up stumbling here after a few too many lemonades. In fact, I would imagine that sort of transaction makes up quite a large percentage of their trade. So if you're not feeling a bit drunk then it might be an idea to fake it when you order from here - they're probably used to that now, I'm not sure that they would even recognise an order that wasn't gargled out of a beer-sodden mouth. Where was I. Oh yes, decent fried chicken - cheap enough but if you can handle the walk I recommend you make the pilgrimage to Chicken Bazooka near the Adelphi hotel, the taxis go from there anyway.

I love businesses with blatantly ripped-off names. It always makes me wonder how the dozens of…read moremeetings went. Did they sit round and go "Let's spell it with a K. You know, like that Sanders place," or is it more subtle? Do they go the whole process without once mentioning a certain Kentucky-based chicken eatery, then if anybody points out the similarities they put on a performance dripping with false naivety, emphasising that they had no idea? Whatever it is, you ain't fooling me Krunchy Fried Chicken. I have the eyes of a hakw. Actually, there's very little wrong with this place. The chicken's all good and if you end up going before it closes, they'll give you heapings of chips that make you wish you'd brought a wheelbarrow.

What an idiot i am, this is by far the best kebab shop in blackpool, possibly lancashire. No fancy burgers, pizzas, indian food, fried chicken e.t.c. here, just kebabs about 6 options altogether, i plumped for a large donner (no salad options on offer just shredded cabbage and onion and a chioce of 5 sauces). It was delicious with home made chilli and garlic sauce and the meat was of a far superior quality that you get at the all singing all dancing takeaway. It is run by a lovely couple, a Scottish lady and i presume her Armeniem husband, who were both very pleasant, welcoming, and nothing seemed too much trouble. I visited early evening about 6pm expecting the lamb to be warmed up or just cooking but this was well cooked and fresh, they dont even open past 10pm so get there early as this is one kebab you can eat sober and savour. If there is a downside it is that the place is a bit dated and could do with a good clean decor wise, but i thought this added to the charm. I tried this place after a search on t'internet for best kebab shops in blackpool this place was there and thats why i tried it, i am going back only once a month though as i have to watch the waistline and look after the cholestrol levels. Verdict: The dogs dangly bits, you have to try it.
