It is a Monday ritual for me and my colleagues to sit down and get this ordered every week. We have even started to go down through the menu until we have all tried everything (still a long way to go though). What I like about Yum Yums is that the main meals are split into 2 categories. You choose a 'Yummy' which is basically the bulk of your main, i.e. beef, chicken duck etc. Then a 'Yum' which is like the sauce, topped of with either a portion of boiled/fried rice, Chips, or Half/Half (half chips half rice). I soon found out the reason the chicken fried rice was so expensive as the portion size was massive to say the least, I would recommend going here if you have a family or about 2-3 people to feed. But in general it's a nice take out option for Chinese food and it for sure beats any Chinese take out in the north west.

The last 4 times I have been has been drive through ( a month apart thereabouts ) I have had to park up and wait for over 10 minutes for simple orders. 3 of these occasions they got my order wrong. Last time they wanted me to go round the drive through again and order what they had missed out again. I refused ! I had already waited 15 minutes for my order parked up in the waiting bay..( yet again ). I kicked up a fuss and they put the order through bringing the card machine to me ( I had children in the car so was unwilling to drag them all out in the cold in to the branch itself. The fries where cold... ( seems top be the norm at this branch ). I complained via email to the manager and was promised some vouchers for the hassle. Which still haven't appeared in the post 5 weeks later. hmm.. Will not return there unless its an emergency and every other food outlet is shut! ;-)

The service is always excellent with super-efficient staff, always smiling even when extremely harassed as it does get busy!

I think they've surpassed their nearest rivals as the best chinese in town and I'd have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. The only downside is that they're obviously a delivery service so their delivery zone is limited and I'm just lucky enough to be inside their catchment area! The prices are good - the actual building leaves a lot to be desires - but on the whole the actual food is delicious so it wins my vote.
