Placed my order... something isn't right, Swung by kfc to get a bowl with the nuggets on the side, lg coleslaw, biscuit, and 4 piece turnover bites. This is what I got..... called customer service, got a small partial refund. Missing 1/2 coleslaw, nuggets, biscuit, and a turnover bite (which were like rocks) (guess they couldn't count to 4) When I verified with them that the nuggets would be on the side, they said nope it was already made (i just ordered It).. Management treats their employees like crap. I went in to ask if they put up flyers for small businesses (they don't, which is totally fine!) and the kid working the register said he'd ask his manager. he went back to the guy who was behind the restaurant, and I could see the manager glaring at me, waving his hands around, he seemed to be yelling. This went on for a while. poor kid came back apologizing, he looked really shaken. There was no reason for the manager to attack the kid like that- he did absolutely nothing wrong. If you're going to get mad at someone, get mad at the customer asking the question. still not nice but makes way more sense. KFC has great food and the kid seemed really nice and hardworking. Went here on Aug 6th 2024 to get dinner for my family. First impressions were terrible. The smell was awful and the floor was filthy, I'm talking dirty sticky stains all over the place. While waiting on my order, 3 other customers came in from the drive thru to complain about short or missing items from their orders. When I got home I found that my order was also missing gravey. If you are going to charge $40 for a 12 piece tenders meal, you might want to ensure the facilities and orders are neat, tidy, clean and complete. read more

Visited 11/20. It's been a few months since my last visit and the change was great to see. The place was noticeably cleaner, the staff was much more engaged and customer oriented, the food was fresh and served fast. The manager on duty was working with the staff and providing direct, he jumped in and was helping cook and getting orders together, he was giving positive feedback to his team. My daughters love KFC, but this time around, we were a bit disappointed. We ordered through the drive through, 2 chicken tender combos with drinks and fries and an extra medium drink. When we got there, after we paid for our order, the girl at the window handed us a bag with 2 boxes inside and said "Thanks." No drinks. I asked for our drinks and she said "You ordered drinks?!" And I pointed to the 2 boxes and said "We ordered combo meals." She (reluctantly) gave us our drinks and then pretty much dismissed us. This location should be a one star. We really like KFC, except for their prices, the fact that they always are out of Extra crispy having trays full over over-heated Original and who they hired. The shift manager was one of the worst named Ireland. First of all, trying to order was difficult to understand the employee taking the order (mask) but when I asked some questions about how we could order, and he asked the shift mgr. She acted very annoyed and very condescending. I had to let the man order before me and step aside in order to proceed. After the man ordered, I stepped back up to the counter to order. This other employee who was friendly tried helping me. He was new and still learning, but I welcomed his friendliness. He had to ask the shift mgr questions where again she was annoyed, he was bothering her and still was rude to me. So, I told her she was rude. She only defended herself be saying-no I'm not. I said yes, she's being disrespectful to me and her employee who was trying to help me and that I might have to contact her employer. She just replied with whatever with a disgusted face. In addition, I paid before she bothered to tell me they were out of Extra crispy. These franchise's need to stop hiring these types of kids or train them what hospitality & customer service is. Not a fan of this location at all. We came back here today for the first time in over a year. We have only been here an handful of times as every experience gets more underwhelming than the last. Wanna tell me why people who came through the drive they after we got there were getting their food before us even though we mobile ordered 10 mins earlier? It wasn't a large order either- Just 2 fill ups. That's kinda frustrating. More frustrating though, is how absolutely terrible the food is "consistently". (I use quotes because we have only been here a handful of times over the past 2.5 years, but the food has been horrid each time.) We have had absolutely amazing experiences at other KFC locations- down in SLC, in other states, etc. So, having had deliciousness from other locations, we have an expectation of KFC. This location, however, hasn't ever met that expectation. They're just close enough that we periodically try again only to be disappointed. The location of this KFC is difficult to get into and the drive thru traps you. Neither are good things. The service wasn't anything to write home about, but like another reviewer has said, you don't go to KFC for the service. You go to KFC for the "amazing" food. So I guess my take home is, this KFC has nothing to offer. read more

The workers here are incompetent. When a restaurant opens at a certain time, the workers must ensure that everything in the establishment is ready for the customers. I spent 30 minutes waiting on them to deliver the fries 15 minutes after opening. There were workers in the parking lot and one of them violated dress code and had to have a fellow co worker loan then their hat. It's infuriating that they think it's ok to inconvenience the customer and continue to do nothing to improve. Review will change if they do clean up their act. read more

I am unable to give this location anything but one star because we were unable to even experience anything. We sat in the drive through with one other car ahead of us for quite some time. By the time we were able to pull up it was 5 minutes until they closed. We were informed that they were now "closed" and refused to serve us. I do understand that it was close to closing-but, we had been there waiting and it wasn't even 10 yet. It really was just bad customer service and I hope that the employees working tonight are spoken to about it. Having a few years of retail/customer service under my belt, I know this is unacceptable. Wow ! KFC in Layton has been remodeled, nice firm booth seating, extra big family circle table for large groups. Modern, sleek clean lines, very updated yet keeping some unique pictures of yester-year. I'm very impressed, (outside side walks are in desperate need of pressure wash) Also a few new items on menu (Cheetos sandwich and new mountain dew ) fun for summer. I went through the drive through at this KFC and ordered my food and the person who took my order was extremely rude!!! She was very impatient with me and because the speaker and microphone sucked she was basically loosing her cool with me as I repeated my order three times to her. I wasn't going to say anything about it and just move on but then when I received my order, my chicken was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for a couple of hours and my drink was definitely not fresh as it was room temperature and not cold like it should have been. We don't normally go to KFC, their restaurants are no near us, however tonight we were returning from an out of town visit and needed to get dinner for our son who stayed behind. Ordered the F3, five Nashville Hot tenders with normal extras. We paid at the window at 5:34 pm and we're told that they're cooking the tenders fresh and it will be two or three extra minutes. We were then asked to drive around the front to wait. At 5:50 an employee came out asking forgiveness saying she compensated our wait of fifteen minutes with six chocolate chip cookies.
