I don't live in King City, but have to travel south from San Jose to the Central Coast. I have been to this KFC several times and have been very happy. The pieces have been cooked right: fresh, juicy, crispy and not dry. I order wings and thighs only (between 8-10 pieces) and the cost is always under $18. They are also large pieces. The wings are exceptionally large! The staff in the drive thru have been very friendly each time, and seem like they actually enjoy working there. Really great service each time. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! It's such a pleasure to be greeted with a smile and have someone who is able to have a conversation. You guys are doing a great job. We have been to the 2 KFCs in Gilroy recently and it was miserable. Your manager should take a trip north and give them a few lessons. I will definitely be back! read more

Everything was really good the only complaint I have is the biscuits were a little bit dry and the restroom was rather smelly but I'm guessing that's just a typical public restroom. Drive thru is slow but then agian it does take time to cook chicken so you still get 5 stars... I wish I could of remember drive lady name... Excellent service... Food was hot, got order right and delicious.... Definitely will come back agian.... Keep up the great service... read more

We stopped here to pick up a Chicken Little sandwich which is supposedly only sold at this location and another one in so cal , but it turns out they stopped selling them here. It's basically a mini chicken sandwich. It would have been a nice snack for the drive :( read more

I'm not kidding when I say the service here is exceptional! My boyfriend and I were driving through on a Friday night around 9:00, and we decided to eat here to satisfy my insatiable KFC chicken pot pie craving. I had my first one a few weeks ago and now I can't stop! So we were planning on taking our order to go to get back on the road and head home. When we asked for the pot pie, the cashier politely told us it would take about 18 minutes. I was disappointed because I wanted it NOW (om nom nom), but I understand that unless they're already made, they do take some time, plus it was pretty late. So we let him know that it was no problem, we'd be happy to wait. And, totally unexpectedly, the cashier gave us a free soda "for the wait". We chose to wait so we weren't expecting free anything! It was nice! :o) Anyway, we sat and waited. And while we were sitting and waiting, an employee named Lynette (?) let us know that part of our order was ready but the pot pie was still cooking if we wanted to get started on the food that was done, or wait for the full order. We just let her know we'd wait. After the 20 minute wait, our order was up. And we had just noticed while they were bagging it that we had asked for mashed potatoes instead of potato wedges for a combo that we ordered, but let them know it's no big deal, they've done enough for us. But Lynette assured us it was absolutely no problem, and gave is the mashed potatoes PLUS the potato wedges. Then she asked us what kind of parfaits we'd like. And I said,"Oh, I didn't know our meals came with parfaits, yay!" And she very politely said,"No, we're giving you 2 free parfaits for the wait." Seriously...that's service. We were kind of in shock especially since we told them we didn't mind waiting at all. Minus one star for soggy pot pie crust. But it was worth the wait. :o) Great customer service, good food. Very good chicken. Usually fresh. Unfortunately unless you get Steve or any other manager the service is not good. The forget to give napkins, straws, and if you ask for extra gravy or sauces they tell you ya ok & then if your a drive through customer & get home & no extra gravy or they confuse it with no gravy, at least I hope the confuse it & not just aggravated & give no gravy or ask for honey & butter packets you get home & not there. Only reason 3 stars is because of Steve & other management that I give 3 stars. I hope they hire more efficient people. read more

This place must have a couple doppelgängers because the service I received at the drive through was terribly rude. I could not even order or ask a question without the person on the other end cutting me off mid sentence or completely ignoring the question. The food was fine. No utensils though. If I could give no stars I would! Drive thru service is pretty horrible. As soon as it was our turn to order we weren't even acknowledge until we had something 3 minutes later. Even then she finally said to give her a few minutes. She finally took our order and it took awhile for her to even ask if we wanted anything else or gave us a price. So we pulled up to the window and even then the order wasn't correct. Sorry KFC but you need to train your employees a little more. read more

This location was really busy and had to deal with some rude and difficult people, and the employees did really well handling them. The food was good, and the employee went above and beyond to help my mom out with gluten free choices. Way to go! read more

Guess I was lucky with my visit? Staff was nice. Ordered 30 hot wings. The cashier said it'd be 10 minutes and started making it right after we ordered it. We didn't finish ordering yet! I have to commend the staff at this KFC. Especially whoever was working on the night of Friday, February 17, 2012. I left my purse at the restaurant on that night, and was able to retrieve it the following Monday on my way back home. Not a thing was touched in my purse. I came into the KFC in King City and let me begin by saying the employees were outstanding the attention they gave us and that home feeling made me not want to leave. Steve should be praised for his great leadership and his ability to adapt to his staff with compassion but also being able to discipline them this KFC is run great because management allows there team to be who they are. Excellent customer service. Stopped in on my way back home and was greeted by Kevin. He was very attentive to our order and after finding out that part of our order had to be cooked was apologetic and offered us free soft drinks. The mananger was also apologetic and through in some extras. Seeing I live in Soledad I will drive to King City instead of Salinas when ever I want KFC from now on. read more
