Do not order anything else but shrimp or real protein. Cost is cheap and inexpensive but it it because of the poor quality; octopus ended up being octopus steaks which is the cheapest part of the octopus. Sausage tastes like winnies. Corn is really good! Fries often are cold. Seating and delivery takes a while. We like to go and just stick to the shrimp and corn which never disappoints

And this is the…read morefirst time that I chose to eat at an establishment but based on treatment ended up walking out and not dining at all. Usually I wouldn't waste my time on an experience like this but I really believe this is something only management can fix. So here goes. Let me start by saying the name created no appeal to me as a potential hungry customer. Couple that with overall 3 star reviews and I would normally just skip that establishment. But when the wife and daughter are hungry I make concessions. This was no exception, it was a rainy day so I made a point of having them go into the restaurant while I parked. Of note, PLENTY of parking on a monday. I park and enter the restaurant a few mins later where I am told the staff would not seat them until all party members were there as that is the restaurant Policy. I scanned the restaurant and it was almost empty, noting that there were more staff than customers and they were all grouped up passing time by chatting with one another. Since almost all seating is for four or more persons it seems unreasonable to not allow a mother and child to be seating while the other parent parks the vehicle on a rainy day. It felt more like we were an inconvenience to the staff. And I am unwilling to support an establishment with my hard earned money when they choose to treat my family that way. So we left, drove a half mile to a nearby Thai restaurant with 100 reviews and a 4.7 rating and proceeded to drop nearly $100 there for good food that was worth my time and money as well as no disrespect. And for that treatment.... Priceless. Management needs to train their staff better, treat the patron with respect as they are what will ultimately keep you in business. And rethink applying what seems like apparent poor policies on a restaurant that clearly could use more customers. But I foresee a bankruptcy in your future. For those out there looking for good food and to be treated properly, Salinas offers so many better options. Recommend you choose those.

I was confused when ordering online because I felt as I might over order since everything they sell is by the pound. When we walked in there was only one other table that was finishing up. the staff were welcoming and nice , we were helped with right away too. The food was amazing I literally have been telling everyone about this place now and tell them to forget Bag O Crab this place is better and for the price too it's worth it specially if you like sea food boil this place is amazing and I made the mistake of putting light cajon seasoning because it was sooo good and perfect spice too. I am glad I didn't order the crab because I would have been pretty disappointed to pay for something inedible. Not to exaggerate but the Cajun shrimp I ordered looked like it was in motor oil with bottom of the barrel sediment. Inches of it literally burnt spices or something. The bag color was like brown black. Not to mention that the shrimps were overcooked and some were chalky. Super hard to take the shells off of how overcooked they were. We chose to give this place a try since online it stated it was better than bag of crab. But man were we mistaken. Go to bag of crab instead.

Ok foodies. I'm finally writing a review of one of my favorite restaurants...Ever!…read more Bon Temps Creole Cafe in San Luis Obispo, California I've been a regular patron of this establishment literally over decades, from their humble original location attached to a motel next to a freeway onramp to the comfy digs adjacent to the SLO Amtrak station. Now, I have been to the Big Easy and as I recall, the food I there was amazing. All of it. Even a simple pizza slice was memorably delicious. BTCC emphatically recreates that culinary experience with a solid menu of creole style dishes. New owner? No worries! Grits, jambalaya, Poboys, fresh homemade cornbread, sweet tea and lemonade, the offerings are all perfectly seasoned, flavorful and delicious. My favorites? The crawfish etouffee, the muffaletta sandwich (for sharing) and any breakfast omelette. Fancy? No. affordable? Yes! Whether you sit inside or on the peaceful patio you'll enjoy the atmosphere and the friendly attentive service from the staff. Definitely, Good Times!!!

Their is nothing more comforting than southern cuisine, but they needed to be better prepared for a busy night like tonight, only to find that they weren't accepting card payments. (Don't usually carry cash, but had a 20$, luckily. They should've have informed their guests who were waiting an hour only to be turned away.) Waited an hour to order, another 20 for the food until they called an order that was like 20 numbers before ours. Decided to get a refund because we knew we'd be waiting another hour to eat. Will definitely be trying again, and maybe then I'll give it a better review.
