I had not been to a KFC in years. But, I've been watching too many IG videos of dreamy drumsticks being dunked in gravy and had to go. Also, it was a late night last night and my body was asking for grease and for nooo cooking by me tonight. No one in line Sunday eve at 630pm. Hmm. Service was fine. I got a 3 piece spicy chicken box with fries. I mentioned I don't want the drink and she subbed a small gravy for it instead. Score. Ultimately though, the gravy was very bland and needed salt, pepper and a squirt of hot sauce. I also got a small onion ring as I was starving and ready to rip into them. They did include napkins and hot sauce packets upon request. I really wanted a Chicken pot pie but reminded myself I'm no longer living in the USA and they don't have those here. What a shame. Perfect comfort food and not a bad choice at all. Food didn't take long. $18. Yeowsers. Grabbed an onion ring from the bag immediately. Cold. Not lukewarm. Cold. Screw it, got things to do. Fries were hot and chicken was fine. Really good actually. Not spicy but... I have a very high heat tolerance. Fresh. But 2 legs and a wing. No breast? Would I come back? Maybe. Drove to KFC for lunch for me and some of my co-workers. I had a coupon for the 18 piece bucket and xl fries which saved me $8. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The food was hot and more than filling. Definitely worth the 15 min drive from work. read more

I'm giving this review four stars because I stopped in to get a $5 fill up and the service and food was alright to a certain extent. I had walked in on a Friday late afternoon to give the two piece extra crispy five dollar fill up a try. After walking in, the employee that took my order was mopping the floor, she put that aside and came to take my order right away. I was offered the spicy option which I didn't know about. I only knew about the promo from ads, but didn't see it featured anywhere on the menu. The customer service overall was good, received my order quickly as nobody else was in line. In terms of the food, the chicken was surprisingly better than expected. I was expecting two tiny pieces like other kfc's I had recently been to. The drumstick and thigh was like a normal size. I don't know if it was the extra crispy or just because it's a promo, but I was happy about that. The taste was a little bland, I much prefer popeyes. I couldn't really taste the spicy part. The garlic bread was dry, cookie was good even though it came in plastic packaging. I really hope they've returned to normal sized chicken pieces that we've been used to for the other menu items. The order was so slow... took around 2 hours. The oil the chicken was cooked in was burnt! I still cant get taste out immediately spit it out and had to drink three bottles of water to get rid of taste. It was so bad. It appears like they were so behind they decided to heat up oil beyond a safe temperature not only does it taste really bad but its dangerous. We picked up a bucket of chicken at the Kanata Ontario location. When we got home, we realized the chicken reeked of cigarettes. The smell was unmistakable. My wife returned the bucket and the assistant manager on duty agreed that the chicken smelled like cigarettes. He said he'd hold it aside so that the manager could smell it himself tomorrow. No apology, no offer of a refund, he just handed her a new bucket of chicken. The new bucket smelled like cigarettes too. We tossed it in the trash. Either there's something wrong with the oil, or their employees are smoking in the kitchen. Not impressed. read more

Waited weeks for my KFC meal. Disappointed as the 22 piece order was over cooked to a dark brown rather than the golden in their ads. French fries were cold but the gravy was warm. I will wait weeks again until my current experience is just a faint memory. This KFC has gotten so bad its ridiculous. I got the 3 piece meal ungraded to all white meat, it was atrocious, no flavor at all. It's like it was just fried with flour. The pieces were so small and dried out it must have been 2 days old. Worst I've ever had. Fries were old and dried out as well. This is KFC so don't expect too much but even for KFC this place is terrible. There was no one at the counter for about 6 mins and when she came back she looked like it was her first day and took 10 mins to get his order in. I was next and had a colonels club deal I wanted and you would think this was a new thing they are doing because again they had no clue what it was or how to put it in the computer. KFC and Taco Bell combo restaurant. I have seen the cheesy Doritos gordita crunch advertised, so had to stop by and order one. I have to say a little disappointing. It was kind of tasty, but really not much cheese added to it, not too crunchy and I could not really tell if it actually had a Dorita she'll inside. It was 5.30$ with tax for just the crunch. I could have got a combo for about 7.50$, but not worth for small fries and .50 cents worth of pop. read more

It is shameful what this KFC sells as pieces of chicken. We just bought an 8 piece family bucket and, by far, the drumsticks were the largest and meatiest pieces. Everything else looked as if they had cut a traditional piece of chicken in half and sold it at full price. And to top it off it was cooked to death - so dry and chewy. This is probably the worst KFC I've ever gone to. I don't live too far so I've been there many times. A while ago before Yelp even existed and when the internet was in its infancy, I went to get a bucket of KFC and they didn't have any chicken left. I had to wait until they cooked another batch, so screw that I left. I seem to recall another order where they had to substitute something because they didn't have it. Whatever, that was a long time ago. However! again. Now yesterday, no potato salads so we had to substitute for another macaroni salad then we waited for our order. We hear them calling out the lady with the number behind us saying there's no gravy. My wife and I figured well she ordered after us so we are go to go. Not so fast! They call our number and say "I guess you heard the news, No gravy" We not only had to take another macaroni salad as a substitute, now we had to take something else as there was no gravy. I can't think of another place where I've had so many bad experiences. NOT RECOMMENDED. read more
