But I hadn't managed to try some until just this evening. Stopped in this location and placed my order. I went with the Bo's Chicken Sandwich combo, got fries for my side. On an impulse I also added a small order of Bo Bites. The order was to go, as we had other stuff in the car and went back to our hotel room to eat. The chicken sandwich was good. It had some mayo on it, and two large pickle slices. The chicken was thickly breaded and fried. I was told it had a little kick, and it did. Overall very good blend of seasonings. I had the impression from the appearance of the chicken the kick comes from a batter that includes Frank's Red Hot or something in the wash. Not a lot, but just enough. It's good, and a differentiator over other chains. The pickle also helps bring the sandwich together. For me, pickle on any chicken sandwich is more important than pickle on a burger even. The fries ... were fries. They were seasoned, and sorry I'm not a fan of seasoned fries, from anyone. Fry seasoning to me is just salt. These were also cut more like a steak fry, but soft. I like fries to have a little crisp to them. The Bo Bites were basically several chicken tenders prepared much like the chicken in the sandwich. They did seem a little milder in their spice, but maybe that's because I had already eaten the sandwich. All in all good, but nothing amazing. I've had chicken sandwiches from other chains that were just as, if not better, than this one.

CB for me is a hit and a miss. The last 3 times I ate at CB was in Chesapeake and they kept giving…read moreme egg shells in my breakfast. I kept thinking it was an anomaly but after the 3rd visit, that was it for me. After our move to NC I figured that I would give them another shot. And while some of the food was good, the service was not. 2 servers came to take our drink order and then the server who returned to take our breakfast order was at the wrong table, so we had to wait for them to figure out who was to ne taking care of us. I need to start out by saying they were not busy as we were there on a Monday at 1030, so between 2 meal times. I reqiested that the server put us in a quiet spot, away from others as I had a migraine. Initially she did but then 10 minutes after our being seated, she sits a family with children, toddlers, behind me. Directly behind me. The restaurant was not the least bit busy that the same hostess I asked to sit us away from everyone else wouldn't have remembered my request to he away from others. I ordered the baked French toast with strawberries, sausage patties and a side of hashbrown casserole. My breakfast arrived with bacon, which I gave to my husband. The casserole was lukewarm & when our server returned with my sausage patties, Initially I thought they looked good but I was in for a let down because they were barely warm and burnt on the bottom (both patties were so burnt that my fork couldn't even go through the patty to separate and eat). At that point, I just gave up on the sausage. I will say the French toast was good but not good enough to forgive the other misses. So, it would seem CB goes back on the list of places to avoid.

Apparently they charged me $.46 for ranch dressing without telling me and I would assume when you're paying $13 for a five chicken finger combo meal you would be able to get at least a couple of ranches for free. I do like the fact they offer ranch, unlike Raising Cane's. Also, the bun on the sandwich really did not hold up very well. Overall, the restaurants got a standard fast food vibe. The manager said they will swap out the single Guthrie sauce for one ranch.

I have driven by here several times and there seems to be a steady flow of customers in the drive through. Apparently they have an app. You can order ahead for pickup. Guthrie's has been around for 60 years with their roots in Alabama. The inside is clean and nice looking honestly. The employees seemed nice. The young lady took our order at the register. We ordered the sandwich combo and the Big G combo. After receiving our drinks and paying we had a little bit of a wait. Not a big deal. Once we received our meals in containers and opened them at our booth, everything seemed fine. The sandwich does get served on a typical store bought bun. Wife did not like the bun. Her and I agreed the chicken was good. Three strips were on her sandwich. My Big G order comes with 6 chicken strips. We liked the golden crinkle fries. They were cooked perfect. Taste was good. Half of my strips were more like nuggets, but the flavor and texture were good. The bread that came with my combo was lightly toasted and tasted good as well. Overall we enjoyed dining here. We would probably return if we were really hungry and needed comfort food. Not our first choice. In the flooded market of chicken strips, this place is on the better end of the spectrum.

The best part was when both my Grandkids had gave him Hi fives, & moved along to the music while him, & the Texas Roadhouse Dancers/Servers were Dancing. Thank u.
