Terrible place, looks clean on the outside but inside was pretty dirty. We came in just before 5 and were the only customers. Could barely understand any of them. I ordered a chicken pot pie meal and the young man just could not get it. I had to repeat it slowly 3 times pointing at the picture and then he said it was their last one so I said fine. Wife went to the bathroom to wash up and no soap. I went to go as I just recovered from colon cancer and the cook beat me to it, he never came out. After about 15 minutes I walk back up and ask for the meal and the kid slurred it's coming out and the place was now filling up. We finally get the pie and it was sunken, dry and looked like crap. We tried to eat a little bit but the taste was not right. As we were walking out to go elsewhere we see some locals who they knew and low and behold, two fresh looking raised chicken pot pies that looked delicious. I never got to use the restroom as the cook never came out. Poorly ran place to pass up and not stop at. I ordered an extra crispy bucket of 12 pieces. It contained 7 chicken breasts and none of it was extra crispy. We also ordered three chicken strips and they were the size of nuggets. The girl running the register had an inability to communicate and screwed up the order so much that I gave up on trying to get it right. I should've walked out so shame on me. Fort Stockton has a reputation for crappy service but man this KFC works very hard to have the worst service in town. And not to mention, the chicken tasted like someone emptied out a salt shaker in the batter. Horrible. I'll be throwing it out to the feral hogs this morning and I hope it doesn't tick them off. NEW KFC, I suppose the former reviews pertain to the old build. This is a superb KFC!!! The staff was polite. The inside was small, but supremely clean. The Sweet Lightning Mountain Dew was a fun flavor to try! Considering the amount of people in line.. the wait was tolerable and moved quick for the circumstances. The staff seemed focus and on their toes.. (Not goofing around). Oh and the food was delicious. Very impressed. read more

Not bad overall. The service was on the "relaxed" side, but the employees were friendly enough and the food was good. If you're passing through and in the mood for chicken, this will get you through. It's nothing spectacular but it's not horrible, it's KFC and about what you would expect. read more

Being the only KFC four hours away you are pretty much stuck with this place whether you like it or not to get your $5 chicken craving. Most of the time you will see a nice line of tickets averaging 10 spots along with a good handful of employees running around in the back like when you poke a hole in an ant pile, clueless on what they are doing but at least we looking busy. I have been here about 5 times already and not one time was the chicken fresh So if you want fresh chicken you will have to go to Bush's which is right down the road but paid double for what you are getting. This particular location is not even parking friendly since I rolled up one time and happened to have noticed my boss peeling a large KFC sign off of his truck, damage control please! They should give him chicken for a whole year but I think he would lose years of his life waiting to get any orders here on the average. That particular day I waited half an hour without exaggerating for my mail while the people before me we're waiting 45 minutes. Fort Stockton resident. Decent when they opened the new store. Going downhill fast. I've tried it several times. Last 3 or 4 times I've tried it, they were out of something, like chicken. Went by last night at 6:00 PM. No chicken, none for 30 to 45 minutes. The very confused girl at the counter suggested that I go somewhere else. Not a problem. I went down the street to Bush's Chicken and got a good meal. Strongly suggest that whomever reads this review do the same. BTW-the only trash can in the lobby was running over. She has been polite, professional and so courteous to the folks in front of me, and to me as well!! An employee with an excellent attitude!! They need to keep her around as those are hard to find!! Of all the restaurants that I have been to that I had evaluated to deserving a very low-grade, this KFC/TACO bell takes the cake!!!! Far exceeds the bottomless pit of low standard that could exist. This place was a total dump. No straws, most all tables were dirty, and it was pretty filthy throughout. There was even a sign offering free tacos if you filled out a survey, gave them a good score, and mentioned the cashiers name (see picture) in which the cashier would then get $5. This was a pretty crappy place. It was a KFC/Taco Bell. The chicken tenders were salty beyond belief and the crunchy tacos should have been labeled "soggy tacos". Look... the employees at this place dont like to work, seen one of them drinking alcohol while on the job and seen the manager walking out of the walk-in adjusting her clothes with the fry cook to follow as he was adjusting his clothes too. The clerk arrogantly refused to give us an explanation. I asked to talk with the manager. "I am the manager." OMG! Offended at my shock, he ordered us off the property for trespassing, threatening to call the police! "Please, call the police," I begged. During the course of the exchange with my daughter he snidely commented on my daughter's sock cap: "Nice cap." That proved the last straw for her. She blasted him for stupid insensitivity. She had completed chemotherapy recently and wore the cap to cover hair loss. His coworker made the remark, "I would like to smack her up the side of her head!" She did not wear a name tag, either. We considered stopping by the police station to file a complaint but decided that we could probably only accuse them of rudeness, incompetence, and a lack of professionalism. I believe that the sanitary inspectors could close them down, though. So we decided to write this Yelp review and log a complaint with corporate headquarters. This store is a disgrace for a national franchise. Standing at the counter (no-one else about) 1 man casually approached. Gave him our order. He said he couldn't take it as he wasn't signed in. Eventually another man came over to joint he first. Then another (no in the usual KFC uniform) and they all had a discussion/disagreement in front of us at the register about who was working and who should be taking the order. After saying "hello" once we were ignored. We had to ask them to take our order after what must have been 20 seconds of them arguing in front of us. The toilets are disgusting. Broken tap and cubicle door wouldn't lock and neglected paint on the cubicle. The soda machine was filthy and damaged. Barely warm chicken pieces. Agree with all previous entries- lowest satisfaction possible. Filthy dining room, even worse kitchen area. Out of most menu items but didn't tell people until after they waited for 10 min. Staff was playing with each other more than working. Asked to speak to manager and it took awhile to get our money back, but we did. Do not stop here unless you are the health department.
