Remarkable thing about KFC, no matter where you go to a KFC, the quality is the same which I have come to expect and it does happen.

This place is absolutely the worst. We went through the drive through yesterday and it took 25 mins for two kids meal and two Crunchwrap supremes, a taco, and chips. There was only one car in front of us and nobody in the restaurant. We got to the window where we waited for another 5mins just staring at the dude making drinks ignoring us. When he finally opened the window, I asked how much longer it was going to take, and he was like, oh, your food is sitting here.... What the heck? I then asked for sauces BBQ and extra Hot sauce. When we got back on 99 we noticed, he didn't give us any hot sauce and our food was mild in temperature. Horrible customer service and mediocre food at best. I will never go back to this location! Insane to wait so long for "Fast Food" and still it getting our order correct. It's crazy these people get paid $20 and can't get simple things correct. read more

This place is having major problems lately. In the past I have ordered on the App and they say food is ready in 7-10 minutes. Over the past 3 weeks I have ordered on the App. 3 times. First time I had to wait an extra 20 minutes. 2nd time was an extra 15 minutes. And the final and last time was 30 minutes longer than the app stated. The only common denominator was chicken tenders. So stay away or at least don't order the tenders!! I'm done with them. Must be new management or something. Employees are not helpful or friendly at all anymore!!! read more

I tried their $5.99 taste of KFC MEAL. Very disappointing. The side of mashed potatoes was smaller than the regular serving. They gave me two drumsticks rather than a drumstick and a thigh as pictured. The drum sticks are so small they could pass as chicken wings. This is the 2nd time this has happened and I was so hungry for KFC I forgot to get a receipt. My order was $19.56. I checked my bank receipt and was charged $20. I went here to order my favorite wings and when I requested those and a few other of my favorite, they were out of everything.

This location is exactly what you expect out of an off-the-freeway truck stop for hungry people just traveling through. Semi-adequate service, dirty tables, no silverware or sauce available to select on your own but rather you have to ask for them (even though you are allowed to get your own lids and straws). I had to ask for a utensil to eat my famous bowl instead of being given one, and when my wife went to ask for one there were no staff in sight to fulfill her request. The famous bowl tasted... off, I narrowed it down to the cheese quality and the chicken was slightly over fried or left out. The Nacho and taco were OK. This location has a neat soda machine, but other than that, its just another polished turd in the middle of the valley. read more

Come on girls...take pride in your job wherever you work. I blame the managers. We just ordered through drive through and little missy dropped our coons and bills, and my father had to get out to grab the money she had dropped. She couldn't even properly hand us the bag of KFC and took forever to grab sauces because her acrylic NAILS were 3-4inches long. When I asked her "are you allowed to have nails like that on a fast food place" she gave me attitude and said yeah. I've worked fast food, FOOD HANDLERS 101: you cannot have acrylic nails much less ones a foot long lol. Lack of basic service in this location. It's clear that Kaen who was working there at the time (name on receipt) was only performing bare minimum if not less. Charged more for our meal then should have with more communication since staff knows more about the menu than customers. She seemed to put more effort on cleaning counters than customers and accuracy, which didn't require much troubleshooting. Details: Not greeted by anyone walking in. To be fair, there was only Karen there today who was cleaning when we came in which was fair. But she went behind the cash register and still didn't greet or make eye contact. No words. So of course we say hello and start communicating and say we're ready. Didn't think too much of it understanding not everyone comes off the right way, specially when all your physical functions are likely to slow down at a later age as she seemed to be. You can notice something is wrong here with continued lack of communication. I never said I wanted a meal with my 4-piece chicken tenders order and she put it in as a meal which we corrected in time, but she didn't. I could understand how she can misunderstand because the menu up top wasn't clear that it was a meal or not. Either way we corrected it. So she charged me for the 3 pieces the tenders came with but added one extra without telling me that it was charged that way. The price was close to the 4 piece MEAL price but she didn't tell me so I didn't know I might as well order the meal until after the transaction. Adding one tender was around $2.60. They each also come with a choice of sauce. She didn't even ask which sauce we wanted and just assumed it's ranch. I had to come back and ask for the right sauce. She easily complied. No sure why this was how we were treated like if it was biased or not but this was our experience. Everything else was fine like food and regular KFC, fast food ambiance. Can't really expect more. Basically, Please train basic customer service: greeting, product knowledge, basic human treatment expected working with people. Don't make customers come back and correct things. Ordered a 3 piece chicken strip mean and upon inspecting the food once I got out into my car I noticed all the chicken strips were very thin with hardly any meat on them. I returned to the restaurant and informed the employee of the situation. Their answer? "That's why he gave you more" and pointed at the EXTRA 2 pieces that were put in the box. Oh, I get it.....MORE KRAP = better. Think not. A refund was given with no real hassle. Usually this place is good. Most of the time they are a little slow whether they are busy or not. read more

So, generally I wouldn't waste my time posting a review for fast food...but this place is such a POS I feel others should be warned. So here goes! We live in the area and occasionally visit this place because sometimes we need to eat and we need to eat quickly. We know it's not going to be great, but there are a few things I do expect. I've been here probably 7 times over the past two years. Every. Single. Time. Something I've ordered has been forgotten. That's enough to really grind my gears, but the last time takes the cake. I order food. Pay and take it. Check my food because I know you forgot something even though I asked if the employees double checked because they always forget stuff. Of course they said it was all there. NOPE. No mashed potatoes. (Which is what's usually missing, I don't know who you have in charge or putting the mashed potatoes into bags, but they need to be retrained, I know. It's difficult, but I'm sure you can master the art). I have to go in and get them. Get home. Go to eat, the potato wedges are soggy but stale. Yum! And then I realize I have no straws for my drinks! Alright, guess I'll take the lid off. Take a drink and holy crap. Check your soda machines because this my friends, is not what Pepsi tastes like. I doubt anyone reads these because if I managed this place and saw nothing but 1-2 stars, I would probably try to rectify something. Like starting to drug test employees. Marijuana kills brain cells kids and makes it where you can't remember the potatoes I ordered 4 seconds ago were never put in my bag. Management hiring a bunch of stoners or patients suffering from severe short term memory loss is the only explanation I can fathom for why on earth you can never get all of my food in my bag. So yeah food is what you'd expect with the occasional dash of extra crappy but they always forget your food. It would help if the description would show that this is a Taco Bell/KFC combo. It seemed clean, we got quick service and delivery of food. I ate chicken and hubby ate tacos. All exactly as we'd expect, in and out quickly and we're back on the road in our RV. I'd definitely stop there again for fast food. read more

This KFC/Taco Bell needs to step up! I came a few days ago and ordered a smothered burrito but with no meat. I even repeated the no meat part several times to the lady taking my order in the drive thru. Then I get my food and go home. When I bite into the burrito, what do I find? Meat! Luckily I'm not a vegetarian, or I would've been seriously pissed. But they really need to train the cooks on how to read orders correctly. I have family who come here and are strict vegetarians for religious reasons, the last thing they need is to bite into a beefy burrito. Next time I come, I'll make sure I check my food before leaving, if that's what it takes. read more

KFC in chowchilla is a terrible place to eat. you have to wait forever for employees to stop talking to each-other and take your order. some managers don't even want to take your order if you only speak spanish. employee conversations are vulgar and clearly audible to elderly, women, and children. Also, just about every employee, including managers, can be spotted with a cell-phone, while in the cooking environment. i'd say that the owners have no control over their store and that KFC's reputation as a family resturant has been damaged, in chowchilla. dont expect a quality environment or experience while at KFC/TacoBell in chowchilla. the restrooms were somewhat clean, so 1 star for that. read more

Food is good. I come to the area once a month, and normally go to this KFC. However this time...this weekend, was not particularly good. I waited quite a while for someone to answer at the drive thru, when they weren't even busy. After I paid, the guy who was at the window practically just threw my bag of food at me. He was rude, didn't say much and just dropped my food in my hand with no "happy holiday" or "merry Christmas" or anything. Just closed the window and that was it. This guy needs a better idea of customer service. I MAY return my next visit. read more

I don't come here often ever since they opened a couple of years ago, but each time I come here the service is shitty and I thought I'd finally write a review about this place. Each time that I have come here including most recently when I came yesterday, there is always at least one item that I ordered that is missing. I went in the drive through and they missed one of my items that I ordered, so I had to leave the drive through, park, and go inside to get my missing item. The employees seriously need to be better prepared and focused to handle orders where people buy many items. They are seriously overwhelmed with orders like this. Either train them better or hire better employees. I will try to avoid this place from now on because I've had it with their service. Food was pretty good though. It was nice and warm. But even though the food was okay, I still only give them 1 star for their horrible service. I care about service and if I don't get good service then it doesn't even matter if the food is okay or not. The food will be less desirable if the service to give you that food isn't good enough. read more
