This place was truly awful! I've lived on 3 continents and can say that this is the worst service…read morewe've experienced! It's quite apparent that this place has a serious problem starting with management and working its way down. Long story short, we bowled for two hours and during that time they lost our first food order, delivered the second order placed with 6 min left of our two hours of bowling and delivered it missing food and drinks. During this time our bowling lane kept erroring out and it was nearly impossible to track someone down to fix the problem. When we did find someone, the person was so incredibly rude and snarky. I told one person about our error, she stared at me, didn't say a word, and walked off! Then she came back later to blame us for the issue claiming we had too many bowling balls, which was not the reason the pins wouldn't reset First person we talked to about food: told us to place our order at the bar because we had alcohol in the order. Second person we talked to: told us that the food and drinks would be delivered to our bowling lane Third person we talked to (after waiting for our order over an hour): told us they did nothing with our order because they can't bring alcohol to the lane while holding up the list we gave them. No one informed us that they wouldn't put the order in, contrary to what person 2 told us. Talked to a manager who then put part of our order in. Second order was delivered incomplete with 6 min of bowling left. Food was so disgusting and soggy that I wouldn't have fed it to my dog. I informed the manager to refund us and we went to Chipotle 3 min down the road to eat. Time will tell if I'm charged for food we didn't receive or food that wasn't edible! Needless to say, we will go somewhere else to bowl and will never step foot in this poorly run "establishment" again! Pics are of the error we continued to get on the lane, the incredibly rude bartender (supposedly her name is Ashley) and the ridiculously large bee in the waiting area which just sparked interest. That concerned me a little bit, but not enough to cause me to turn around and walk out. I also noticed it wasn't the cleanest place, but that doesn't mean the food isn't good. I'm not sure if it's because the restaurant's been there for years and it's just aged, but it didn't appear clean. Where there was carpet, it was worn and matted. The bathroom was totally disgusting and looked and smelled like it hadn't been cleaned since my mother was in elementary school, and she's now 78 years old. The young lady who took my order was very pleasant and engaging. I enjoyed speaking with her about the menu items. She was very honest about certain things when it came to how different items tasted that I inquired about, and I appreciated her for that. I wound up ordering the fried whiting and double collard greens for my two sides. I didn't have to wait long, of course, because nobody else was in there. While I was waiting for my food, only three people came in for takeout. I arrived home and started diving into the food. The collard greens were bland and obviously out of a can. I had to doctor them up with some seasonings and vinegar. The supposed to be "chicken wings" (wing dings) wasn't seasoned like I'm used to chicken being seasoned. It was too bland. The hush puppies were disgusting, but the french fries were good. The fried whiting was, to my surprise, flavorful. I enjoyed that. The fried shrimp was savory as well, and I enjoyed that. They were on the small side, but good nonetheless. The only thing is the food wasn't good enough for me ever to want to return, so it's a NOT AGAIN for me.

The sauces that came with it were outstanding and the chicken had a great flavor. The Yucca fries were crispy and paired well with the salad and the mild green sauce. The tofu isn't marinated in anything and is cut way too thick. While the outside of the tofu was perfectly crispy, there is room for improvement that sets them apart from many other Bahn Mi places I've been. If they cut the tofu thinner and marinated it before frying or grilling, this would easily make this one of the best and unique dishes in the area. I mixed Housin Sauce and Sriracha Sauce to improve the sandwich. Sandwiches are about $8-9.50 making it rather affordable compared to the other options in the area. Plenty of room for improvement. Still worth checking out.

As a sweets fan, I found the honeydew milk tea a tad too sweet, and the honeydew flavor had a slight perfumey note. The coffee flavor was strong, but it was a nice balance of bold coffee and sweetness. Not the best, I prefer Nguyen's milk tea and coffee compared to this place.

We originally found out about HA's from a neighbor, and I added this business page to Yelp to be able to share my photos and experiences to help spread the word about this awesome local spot!

Flights from Guatemala would arrive, and passengers would walk off the plane carrying bags of Pollo Campero. The aroma was unforgettable. Ever since then, I've been curious about what made this chicken so special. Fast forward to Charlotte, and now I finally understand the hype. I stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered the four-piece roasted chicken meal with sweet plantains, coleslaw, and a roll. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The chicken was juicy and packed with spices that set it apart from your typical fast-food chicken chain. It's hard to explain until you try it, but the seasoning has a distinctive flavor that makes Pollo Campero uniquely its own. The sweet plantains were excellent. Soft, caramelized, and sweet with those slightly crispy edges that make plantains so addictive. The coleslaw was cold, creamy, and crunchy, which paired perfectly with the chicken. The service was friendly, the value was excellent, and my order was accurate. I always take a moment to check my order before leaving the drive-thru, and everything was exactly right. Several excellent local restaurants, too. So I had high hopes today for Pollo Campero. PC was clean when I arrived at 12:30. Quite busy with about a third of the tables in use and the remaining were clear of dirty dishes. Surprising because they don't have a trash can that I could see - the staff bus and clean tables, clearing them swiftly. I ordered a three piece at the counter and it didn't take long until a running found my tent card and I was able to start. The chicken was thoroughly cooked, still moist. Not much for flavor in the skin today, it needed some hot sauce to bring out the taste. The cole slaw was creamy and crisp. Still good but also a little bland. The small dinner roll wrapped in plastic was fresh and fluffy. Overall, it's a nice little fast food spot.
