What a great KFC! I've been to many KFCs throughout the country and this was one of the nicest, well run version that I've been to. I went here for the beyond fried chicken which was being test marketed in early 2020 in the Charlotte area. I knew 6 pieces wouldn't be enough, so I sprung for the 12-piece and got 6 plain and 6 with Nashville Hot sauce. I'm not 100% sure if the sauce was vegan, but I figured it wouldn't kill me. The square nuggets themselves aren't "vegan" due to the fact their cooked in the same oil as their chicken fried chicken. But all of the ingredients are non-animal based. Everyone from the people taking orders to the staff in the back was super friendly. For a busy lunch crowd on a rainy day, they were awesome. The food came out quickly and I was in and out and back to the office in under an hour (mostly due to the traffic in the area). The presentation of the food was great too. The trays were nice with a wood-grain pattern and the food was hot and fresh. The beyond fried chicken is pricey though. I wish they had a 9 piece as I knew from a previous KFC that 6 wasn't enough. 12 was too many for one person, even a fast food junkie! (I did eat it all, but was super stuffed). The garbage smell as you wait in the drive through is really offensive. That dumpster area needs some attention. There's standing water and trash everywhere. And it's hard to read the drive thru menus through the overgrown rose bushes in front of it. They were completely out of chicken tenders for the rest of the night Friday at 8pm. We made do by picking other things but it was a bummer. None of the staff working the window wore masks which is disappointing when I'm wearing one in my car for them. My chicken LOOKED COOKED but it wasn't cooked all the way at all which is the worst thing that you could receive ( undone chicken). They ran out of sides so that was another wait. Private parking lot with steep downhill entrance. Been to this location twice during lunch hours and the service and food have been good. Drive thru was quick and efficient. First visit they did not have original wings, so I got a $5 box and the server gave me an additional side for the inconvenience, thank you. The food was hot in temperature and non greasy, mashed potatoes piping hot. Second visit I got my wings!! Again the food hot and non greasy. Terrible service. We ordered 35+ dollars in food and received maybe half, if that. We were not notified of anything not being in stock or available. We received one out of the four biscuits, no gravy for our potatoes, no macaroni, and they gave us 3 small fries which we did not order - also no sauce. It's industry standard as far as KFC goes, but I had no issues here. Only thing that was a negative was that they didn't have sweet tea made when I was there. Came out on a rainy day last week to grab some KFC for the family. Yelp reviewers beware. When customers take the time to rate an establishment it's 100% true. This had a two star but needs a -6. Second time coming here and they never have product. Upon entering the drive through they indicated it would be a 5 minute but it was more like 45 minutes. They came out twice to tell me the fryer was down or that they didn't have the product. Other ppl in the drive through came and went. I ordered a 8 piece meal. This is a pretty cool location. The entrance from the street is down a huge hill, into the parking lot and drive thru. But there are plenty of parking spaces once you make it down. And since the location is relatively "new" from the outside it looks clean and well kept. I haven't been inside yet, so this review is strictly based on the drive thru. My experience was great! I already knew what I wanted so it didn't take me long to order. I keep it simple with a two piece-white meat with potato wedges and corm. The cashier was very perky and upbeat. When I arrived at the window, she was just smiling and had an excellent attitude. It's so rare to find perky, happy people at the drive thru windows. So that definitely made my visit! To top it off my order was hot and prepared correctly, and of course it tasted great. A bonus for this location is that they have a lunch buffet!
