They were alright. Kind of oddly uniform, and one of them popped and sprung back when I bit into it like it was loaded with a rubber spring. Yuck. Clean bathrooms, good location where you're well out of KC and easy access on/off the highway, and a fine way to kick off a week of junk food on a road trip and vacation.

The bowls always are lacking in chicken as they put one chicken strip on it. The bites are probably the best chicken pieces/bites/nuggets you can get at fast food places. After pulling over to eat, I was really disappointed that I was not provided a fork or spork. If they thought I could eat with my hands, they also could have provided napkins being I had mashed potatoes and gravy. Food and hospitality good, attention to detail poor.

It said it was around 600 calories and $7 just for the single burrito so I figured it would be enough for a full meal. When I got inside I found a very lackluster Taco Bell. The restrooms could have been cleaner and the employees more friendly, but alas I was there for a quick bite so I ordered and waited. I got my burrito and made my way to my car to continue on my journey and opened up my bag to prep my burrito for the drive home. It was honest to god the smallest burrito I've ever seen in my life. So small that I wondered if I got the right thing? I'm still not sure, but I unrolled it to put hot sauce in and I had a hard time even seeing any chicken at all. I ate the whole thing in about three bites and decided I needed to stop at QT to get something else to eat or I wasn't going to have any dinner before I needed to put the kids to bed when I got home. She also had fresh blood at her nostril she would wipe. Disgusting. I kept thinking that my visit could not get any worse. Think again. When I asked her to at least change her gloves. The other lady took over my sandwich with an attitude. By the time she finished with my choice of vegetables there were two inches of bread at each end that was just left with nothing on it. The scale being used to weigh meat ingredients had dried meat particles and juices from prior orders. Papers are produced to place on such scales for each order to prevent cross contamination. I paid just under $24.00. When I arrived home I realized how disgusting and unsanitary this experience was. I just threw my order away. I will never eat at the Cameron, Mo Subway again.. I am retired US Navy Submarines with over 30 years within the food service industry and I will never eat in a place that food or service personnel can at minimum make me ill or worse yet, kill me.
