Perhaps the worst KFC chicken I have eaten. It appeared in general that the order was overcooked(an 8 pc bucket) because the wings were dry and dark brown almost black, the thighs were essentially the same. I did notice that the signature KFC flavor was missing, and tasted almost like a rub of sorts. This place is horrible. The dining room is tiny and ugly. The bathroom (singular) looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a week. Sticky urine on the floor and the toilet rim, feces, filthy grimy sink. Disgusting. How can people serve food when they can't even wash their hands in a clean bathroom. You come out dirtier than when you went in! The kids at the counter are clueless and unprofessional. I went to the KFC on Abbott this evening. As I was waiting for my food, I noticed not one staff member was wearing a mask. I asked the woman at the window and she stated that their manager didn't ask them to wear masks. She told me I would need to talk to the manager. I called and spoke to the manager and asked why none of his staff was masked up. His tone on the phone was condescending and annoyed that I was calling for this reason...I asked if he was aware of the mandate, and he told me that they are private property so only the person at the window needs to wear a mask. He said he would remind her.... There is a mandate saying ALL businesses must wear masks indoors. This portrays blatant disregard for the health and well-being of not only your staff, but the people paying your paychecks as well. Please do your part to control/end this pandemic!!! read more

Sometimes, I'll get hit with a sudden and insatiable craving for fried chicken. While there are several places in town that could've met my desire, I was interested specifically in visiting the Colonel. I suppose not even their creepy marketing campaigns were enough to deter me. After all, it had been quite some time since I tried their food, and I was curious as to whether it lived up to my memories. I'd say that it did for the most part. The mashed potatoes and coleslaw are more or less how I remember them to be. Same goes for the extra crispy chicken, except I was not at all prepared for the grease bombs these things are. As in, "Yeah, I should probably get my stomach pumped right about now." Their Nashville Hot was not nearly as spicy as I had hoped (but let's be real, this is American fast food we're talking about here), yet it wasn't a total letdown due to a decent amount of flavor. There was no line at the drive through but I was still asked to park my car and wait for my meal, however that wasn't the frustrating part. As I waited I watched one employee with his headset still on "vape" on the job while he waited for orders to be handed to him so he could take them to individuals waiting in their car. He did this right in front of all the cars who were waiting for their meals to be brought to them. I accounted for the fact that maybe he was on " his break" but he had his headset still on and no mask, then just moments later he brought food to my car. This KFC is notorious for not giving change back as well. I enjoy KFC and its a place I visit often but not a place I plan to go back to anymore. Really wanted some KFC. To my amazement, your dining rooms are still not open. I refuse to eat chicken sitting in my truck And live too far away to take fresh food home. Your dining room is large enough to safely seat folks. I walked out, drove across the drive to sit down and eat at Taco King. KFC in the anchorage area needs some help! This particular location has been plagued with problems for as long as I can remember! I don't have any idea what possesses me to continue to be a customer here?! There was very little in the way of meat on the piece I purchased and the side dishes of wedges and mashed potatoes were gross and looked like it had been sitting out for awhile! I rarely eat at KFC, it's about once every two or three months. I don't know why I keep on telling myself that when I go back it's going to be great. Each time I go by there they forget to give me something or I have to repeat my order for five times for them to figure out what I actually want. Today all I wanted was a comfort lunch. I ordered the popcorn chicken with the small side of mac & cheese. Let's just say I didn't receive the mac & cheese and I don't know what type of flavor they're using for the popcorn chicken but sauce was definitely needed because they were even worse than the last time I had them. They were soggy and they did not have a crisp taste to them like the actual chicken does. And the amount of little rolled up pieces of breading to actual chicken pieces I got was probably half-and-half.
