Highly recommend! I found Keystone on Yelp to look at a small crack in my outdoor foundation, and the process was seamless. Scheduling with Clair was incredibly fast--it only took about 2 minutes to set up a general inspection. Julia, my inspector, was fantastic. She was professional, knowledgeable, and very patient with all my questions. After a thorough walkthrough of both the inside and outside of my home, she explained that the foundation itself is fine--the cracks were just poorly mixed surface cement that needs repatching. i'll start this review off with what I needed from this company was a to my bulging and rotating wall after talking to the receptionist she said can come out and assess the damage and give you a plan on how to fix the arrival of the inspector, which was a half hour late. She jumped out her car and pointed out my gutters and told me I need to clean them. that is my problem, very unprofessional as she danced around my house with a camera snapping photos. And my barge rafters need to be painted. My windows aren't installed right upon entering my basement to show her the wall of concern and my coming out of the wall of the corner of the damage wall she did not address my concerns of my Watermain and pointed out. I had a lot of water stain around my home. They me $695 for a report of everything that I already knew very disappointed in this company. Afterwards, the next day, the owner calls me and it says that his inspector is certified engineer for 10 years with the company and that I got what I asked for and I did not want a visual report at all. I already knew what was wrong with my Home. I told him I was looking for a solution to my problem and my safety concerns addressed. But instead, I was giving a visual report telling me everything. I told him when I talk to them on the phone. Why would I pay you $695 and tell me something I already knew don't make no sense. And then the owner asked me what exactly I wanted from them and I told him I needed of my main concern my wall. He said he would add the report. For me the next day I got the report and all I got was sample picture of random wall that had nothing to do with my consumer beware they are good a scam to get my money that's about it. And they were paid cash and I never did receive a receipt for that. Disappointment. read more

When that company didn't provide a report or follow-up quote, I came back to Keystone, and I'm really glad I did. Scheduling was easy, and Claire in the office was warm and professional throughout. Engineer Julia was exceptional: thorough, honest, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk me through everything, under the house, around the exterior, and up into the attic. She clearly explained the issues she found and her recommendations. I haven't received the final report yet (because she literally just left), but based on the care and expertise she brought to the inspection, I'd highly recommend Keystone to anyone needing a structural engineering evaluation. Mehdi was extremely responsive and was able to accommodate our inspection on very short notice after another engineer cancelled at the last minute. He was prompt, thorough, and explained everything he was looking at very clearly. We ended up not going through with the purchase, but we will absolutely use Keystone/Mehdi on all future structural inspections or projects in the future (in fact, I'm about to follow up with him on another potential purchase). I've called several times to setup an appointment to see an engineer. We needed structural engineering for a remodeling project in Orangevale. I left messages with the receptionist twice and never had a return call. Had to find another engineer to hire for the project. I cannot recommend Keystone highly enough. They performed a structural inspection on my home, and not only were they able to come out quickly, but they were very thorough, inspecting and documenting absolutely everything accessible in, around, and under the house. They even measured the grade of the property around the house to understand current drainage. I received my report a couple days after the inspection. The engineer proactively pointed out and explained to me in layman's terms what they were finding, and what that meant for the house. They clearly laid out recommendations and next steps to protect my house and keep it in the best possible shape. Also, I appreciated that I wasn't talked down to. I am so glad i found Keystone Structural Engineers. I was looking for a reliable and professional structural engineer to draw the plan for the removal of a load bearing wall in our house. The project was very complex and the load bearing wall was a 2-story load bearing wall that was also holding the weight of the room. Mehdi was amazing. He was very patient and provided the designs within the timeframe promised at a reasonable price. He even made himself available to answer any follow up questions from the City of Sacramento and helped with the permit process.
