Lots of tasty vegetarian rolls. As someone who only ever got rolls from the grocery store, I was entirely unprepared for how big these things would be, 2 rolls ended up being more food than I could eat. My poor friend had ordered 3, and it was laughable how huge a serving it was. The fruity sodas are tasty as well but don't quite have the complex bitterness to elevate them to mocktails.

Great sushi!!! Tried Keyaki on a whim today and was pleasantly surprised! Was greeted by excellent service, a clean and well decorated restaurant and an unique fusion style menu. I opted for just sushi rolls today and a pink lemonade. The pink lemonade is more of a strawberry lemonade but was refreshing and a generous amount. The sushi rolls were truly the star of the show. Such unique flavors and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The Vulcano roll might be my new favorite sushi roll in the Salt Lake Valley! I'll absolutely be back.

My husband and I stopped in for a quick date night dinner! The sushi place is as good as I remembered it. Very clean restaurant with courteous welcoming staff. All the sushi is excellent . We ordered the Vegas special since it was Thursday night. I have never had a fried roll before, but it was entertaining and fun. Definitely a splurge night!

This place was by far the best sushi I've ever had in Utah! Everything was fresh from appetizers, to main course, to the dessert. Service was excellent. Our waitress was such a sweetheart & consistently checked in on us. Place was small & intimate so it was nice. It wasn't too crowded but the place was aesthetically pleasing. I talked about it so much with my family that we planned a dinner for this Sunday. Lol We will definitely be back time & time again.

This is one of my absolute favorite sushi restaurants. I have been several times and always get reliable, high-quality sushi and great service. Each time I go, I always get the sushi pizza. It is absolutely scrumptious and always beautifully presented. My partner and I came here during spooky season in hopes for some devilishly delicious sushi. Our wonderful server, Ismael, allowed us to officially name their spookiest sushi roll -- which we named "SpOoOoshi Roll". We felt honored to be able to name this palate-pleasing purple poke platter. While the SpOoOoshi Roll and sushi pizza are my ultimate favorites, every other dish I've tried here has just been incredible. Their miso soup always hits the spot too. We'll be back again and again for more!!

Very creative menu! I brought a vegan friend with me for my first visit. Lots of amazing choices with flavors to suit all taste buds and eating preferences. Service was top notch and I appreciated all the available parking!

Great service and a nice looking sushi spot, but the food was underwhelming. I came here for my first night in Salt Lake City and was looking for a refreshing dinner. The blue raspberry lemonade I ordered was great and looked amazing when it came out too! I started with some edamame and a cucumber salad. The edamame was loaded with salt and the cucumber salad lacked flavor. I ordered the Hawaiian roll, because the pineapple chutney sounded delicious, but there was very little on top and the roll was really just big chunks of tuna. It would benefit from some texture. The waiters were very nice and helpful, regularly checking in, the food just didn't meet the level of service provided. I really enjoyed their music though, as the combination of 80s, 90s, and 2000s music was excellent.

I seriously love this place. I recommend the jalapeño poppers for appetizer. I didn't get a picture cause we just ate them so fast. The sushi pizza is delicious and so filling. Service was great and it's a cute comfy restaurant with nice music but not too loud. There is lots of parking out front.

Had been hearing about this restaurant through social media and decided to check it out. Miso soup was the best I've ever had, the service was great, and the food was better. I love that they have a basket with 6 different sauces to try out.

Keyaki Sushi is the place I love introducing other people to. I've probably brought 6+ friends/acquaintances and all of them leave very happy and very full. It's a win with everyone! The sushi pizza cannot be beat. And the jalapeño bombs are not to be slept on, either. Each sushi roll is a heaping pile of Japanese-American goodness. (The only thing missing is a liquor license!) I don't know what it is about Keyaki but it always hits the sushi-spot for me.

I met with my fellow trustees of the Salt Lake Buddhist Fellowship over dinner at Keyaki Sushi. They seated 8 of us comfortably. Their mocktails were wonderful to start (see pic). Service was very attentive without being intrusive. The layout and decor was lovely and contributed to the ambiance. The edamame was warm and crisp and nicely salted. The miso soup wonderfully spiced and had just the perfect amount of tofu and green onions. The menu was well laid out and offered a great variety of dishes to please everyone. I had the spicy tuna roll and with a drop of habanero on each piece had just the right amount of bite. Our whole group made a unanimous decision to hold all our future meetings here. I will personally return soon to try more of their offerings.

The sushi pizza is novelty deliciousness. My favorite sushi pizza is the spicy pizza (matcha is the name of the pizza I believe).... Fresh tuna with crunchy garlic toppings, jalapenos, and chili oil! The base is crunchy baked rice. It's a fun take on sushi for sure. I crave the pizzas all the time. Of course there is plenty of regular sushi roll options to try as well. If you're vegan, this place is for you. I was impressed of the amount of vegan options. Their drinks are very fun! Many mocktail options and added soda flavor. The food is great! I will say it took a minute for the food to come out (about 30 mins ish~) and I didn't feel like there was a large group or many take out orders at the time. An added bonus, Keyaki sushi surprisingly sells dessert in their little shop. They have a little section for it.

Atmosphere: 5/5 Music: 5/5 Service: 100/5 Food: 5/5 It was our first time here and I do think we will be back! Keyaki has a large menu that also caters to vegan guests as well! They have daily specials and tons of fun menu items such as sushi pizza! We chose to do three rolls as well as an appetizer. We went with a special roll, a comfort roll, and a premium roll. When we ordered the sushi arrived promptly and was plated beautifully. They also had a basket full of sauces, each sauce was labeled and each sauce was pretty good. We used soy, eel, and habanero. The sushi itself tasted very fresh, the crispy rice was fantastic, AND the drinks were great. They have a huge selection of beverages! We landed with Coconut Cream Dr.Peppers, however, I do think we might try a mocktail or boba tea next time . Our waitress, although she was training, was very attentive and made sure we felt taken care of. She was very sweet and also quick to service us when we needed anything! All in all, I think Keyaki was fantastic and we will be returning for our next sushi date.

I used to be a big fan of Ika. I've brought countless friends here, I've raved about this place…read more Now I'm here to correct that mistake. The food quality has been slipping for months. I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. That ends now. Today, we came as a group of five to celebrate my friend. What should have been a memorable evening became one of the most infuriating dining experiences I've had in years. After we sat down, our waitress was nowhere to be seen for 10-15 minutes. Even when we saw her, we flagged her down 3-4 times and were still ignored. I had to physically get up and chase someone down, and still waited another 5 minutes for someone to take our order. There were only 3 tables in the restaurant. The waitress never once asked me or my friend's mom for our drink order- completely skipped over us. And when drinks did come out, she brought the wrong one to my friend's mom. When we asked for water refills. She filled two glasses out of five and walked off, when my glass was near empty. She then dropped a plate on our table. Moments later, I reached for the food and she snatched it back saying it was for another table. Rude doesn't begin to cover it. We asked for an extra spoon, a completely normal request, and it was met with a dirty look, as if we had asked for something outrageous. When I asked for extra ginger, she placed it at the farthest corner of the table. Whether intentional or not, it felt extremely careless and rude. We ordered uni nigiri, which is not a cheap order. It arrived without seaweed. I've ordered uni nigiri many times here, and it's always come with seaweed. When I flagged it, they didn't remake it, just shoved the seaweed under the rice. An insult to a $20+ piece of nigiri. Throughout all of this, this waitress had a visible attitude toward every reasonable request. What made it worse is that I'm Asian myself, and it was clear she was specifically singling out me and my friend's mom above everyone else at the table. The dismissiveness, the hostility, the microaggressions felt pointed and deliberate. I can only call it what it is: racism and sexism. No one should have to feel targeted at a restaurant they've loyally supported for years. Ika has lost a longtime champion. I will be actively discouraging everyone I know from setting foot in this place. Save your money, your time, and your celebration, and go literally anywhere else. ***Update*** I'd like to clarify a few things since the facts were misrepresented by your response. Funny you bring up my arrival time as if that somehow discredits me. I let my group know I would be a few minutes late, and it was not even close to being an hour. What matters is that after I sat down, our entire group waited 10-15 minutes waving down staff and being repeatedly ignored. I then got up and spoke to a different staff member who was filling ginger by the bar, not even our assigned waitress, and she had to find someone else to help us. That is not "flagging rudely", that is a group of paying customers desperately trying to get basic service. Again, there were only three tables including us. You're welcome to review your security footage to verify this. You claim you were watching closely, but if you were running a restaurant, I find it hard to believe you had the bandwidth to monitor our table that carefully. And if you really were watching, you'd know that we tried to flag down a waiter for over 10 minutes. You also never addressed how long the waitress took to take our orders, never asking me for my drink order, bringing my friend's mom the wrong drink, making a disgusted face when we asked for an extra spoon, dropping the wrong dish on our table and rudely snatching it away, and placing the ginger at the farthest end of the table. Funny how none of that made it into your response. Most importantly, you said nothing about your waitress's sexist behavior toward me and my friend's mother. We were singled out, dismissed, and treated with hostility that the rest of our table did not experience. That was the most egregious part of our visit and you chose to completely ignore it. The uni argument is not worth debating. Seaweed in nigiri is a global standard. Doubling down on that is just embarrassing. I even called that evening to provide this feedback directly, and was told the manager was not available and would call me back the next day. That never happened. Instead of having a conversation and being willing to listen, you chose to come onto Yelp and make this a personal attack against me. Our group was only there because of my recommendation. I was your advocate. That ends now, and so does any business I would have ever sent your way. Your response has only confirmed what kind of establishment this is. So as you said best, goodbye!

The service was great and we only waited about 10 minutes for a party of two during a Saturday dinner rush. The gyoza appetizer was delicious. I asked the waitress if it was made fresh in house and she said yes. I could tell right away when they came out that they were, in fact, homemade gyoza. They had the perfect amount of pork filling and the outside was soft and doughy. The dipping sauce added a much desired flavor for the filling. I loved that they added cabbage, carrot, and green onion on the top. The Miyazaki roll was truly delicious. It had the perfect amount of spice, topped with generous wagyu, and filled with the perfect crispy shrimp. The jalapeño aioli was so creamy and delicious. The sable silk roll was also a flavor combination I've never experienced before. Had the perfect amount of heat and sweetness. I loved the chili oil on top as well as the fish. It was melt in your mouth. The unagi was seared to perfection and was also so soft. The snow crab inside was delicious as well. All the flavors worked together and their sushi was truly some of the most flavorful I've ever had in Utah. Miyazaki truly has incredible quality fish that they use for their sushi. The Wagyu medallions were out of this world. Cooked to perfection and seasoned exactly how you would like. There was so much flavor in this dish. I truly cannot wait to come back soon. It made the whole experience feel personal and relaxing. The location is super convenient too, right next door to the Tru Hotel by Hilton, perfect if you're staying in the area and don't feel like going far. The only tiny thing I'd change is asking for one of my rolls without sesame seeds next time. They were a little heavy-handed with them and it gave the rice a slightly odd, almost stale texture (I could tell the rice itself was fresh, it was just the seeds). Minor detail, but now I know. Overall, a really solid spot. If I'm ever back in the neighborhood I'll definitely return, especially knowing the service and food are this good even on a quiet night. Keep it up, Soy Sushi!

The restaurant is UNDER STAFFED and the servers worked hard to try to keep up but the service wasn't very good. Kitchen staff also seemed unorganized and under staffed. The restaurant has a fun, welcoming atmosphere with a lively energy, yet it's still comfortable enough to enjoy a relaxed meal. The service was excellent--our server was friendly, attentive, and happy to offer recommendations when we couldn't decide what to order. We started with the pan-fried gyoza, which had a perfectly crisp sear and came with a delicious spicy ginger dipping sauce. It was a unique sauce that paired wonderfully with every bite. We we knew we wanted one of our usuals the Playboy roll but then asked for a recommendation our server recommended the Kamikaze roll, and we're so glad we took her advice. Both rolls were beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. The Kamikaze was served with a cilantro-lime sauce that added a bright, refreshing finish and really made the roll stand out. The spicy edamame was another standout. I'm not exactly sure what was in the sauce, but it had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Fair warning, though--when they say spicy, they mean it! It definitely brought the heat, but the flavor was so good we couldn't stop eating it. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the overall quality of the meal made it feel like a great value. Between the welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and excellent food, Fat Fish earned a spot on our list of places to return to. We already know we'll be ordering that Kamikaze roll again on our next visit.
