Dr Paul Wardrop. Remember that name. Remember, too,…read moreValley Family Medicine Clinic. Remember them both if you're a middle-aged guy living in the Greater Seattle area. I started coming here years ago, before Dr Wardrop was out of junior high school. Okay, not really, but it seems like I've been here a long time. Dr Wardrop took my file from another doctor who was retiring, and at first, I was skeptical; only because the previous doctor had taken very good care of me. However, I'm a man who is all about giving a person second chances, so it's only right I give Dr Wardrop a first chance. What sold me? My appointment was for 1PM. I was in the examining room at 1:05. Dr Wardrop was in at 1:10. As far as I'm concerned, they weren't late---they were waaaay ahead of schedule, at least as far as the stereotypes of clinics are concerned. We reviewed my medical history and talked about current concerns. Dr Wardrop doesn't specialize in geriatric/gerontological medicine, which is fine with me---my AARP membership card still has wet ink on it. He answered my questions and asked some of his own. I felt at ease right away, but after the following five years, I strayed. Once. The grass was greener on the other side (or so I thought), and I switched to a doctor my friends had been going to for a combined 56 years. Within just two visits with him, and despite the glowing recommendations of my guys, I was missing Dr Wardrop. I returned to Valley Family Medical with my tail between my middle-aged, curmudgeonly legs and asked for an appointment, and forgiveness. All was well. It's not easy for me to get stars in my eyes, but it is easy for me to understand that Dorothy was right: stay in your own back yard. Now that I'm here, I'm going nowhere else. Given that Dr Wardrop is 17 years younger than I am, I feel confident that for years to come, I'll be warming the smooth leatherette in the clinic waiting room. For like only five minutes. Call and get an appointment with Dr Paul Wardrop. And tell 'em Jeph sent you.

Paul Wardrop saved my life. Best doctor I've ever had. I've suffered a nervous breakdown,…read morerheumatoid arthritis and cancer all in the last 3 years and today I'm happy, healthy and pain free. Best assistants too. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
