He walked across the bar, mossied up to me, greated me and sat in my lap. He languished there for a good five minutes until he got bored and went about whatever cat business he had on the agenda. The venue is mid sized. There is an L shaped bar with plenty of seating. There are inside tables and a few seats outside in the front. The music was a mix of hip hop and more recent r&b, but I would imagine that changes depending on the crowd. I could drink here all day, and almost did, but there were more breweries in "Ballamore" I wanted to explore. The BEER: The Doctor Says I'm Hazy NEIPA 6.5% ABV... Orange and lemon peel, this is the one. Very very very lovely. Motown Natty Dough Vienna Lager 5.4% ABV... clean, crisp Vienna Lager Mobtown Cover Two Imperial IPA 9.1% ABV... Orange or Tangerine, maybe clementine, it is slightly boozy and amazingly good, after taste is like east or west coast hoppy Mobtown Essex Wonderland winter warmer 8% ABV... very hop forward with a hint of pumpkin spice Mobtown Long Wave NEIPA 5.4% ABV... juicy, with grapefruits notes Ther service here was impeccable and this will be one of my first stops when I visit again. The bartenders were very friendly and happy to help with beer suggestions or offer a taste of a brew. They had a food truck outside that looked good and from what I understand, they often have food trucks for your dining pleasure. Can't forget the adorable brewery cat Ernie! He was very much enjoying his nap while we were there, but I hope to give him some love if he's out and about next time we are there. The beers they had during this visit weren't my favorite styles, but they did have a Black Forest stout I ended up enjoying. I'll definitely return and see what other beers they have in rotation!

I got to try RavenBeer recently and it was alright. On Untappd however the name of the brewery…read moresays it's Baltimore-Washington Beer Works. So perhaps the brewery underwent a name change at one point or has more than one name in regards to their product but it is the same brewery I tried from as the imagery and logos are the same on the can. The Raven oriented theme revolves around author Edgar Allen Poe who lived in Baltimore sweet and clean. The beer is light bodied and smooth. Unfortunately I didn't find it the most memorable of this lager type that I have had in the past. While the beer "got the job donee. The beer that Steve and I had was The Raven Special Lager. It's was kind of a Vienna style lager. Flavor features with this beer is malty," it wasn't something I'd recall much later on other than those logos and themes because I am fond of Edgar Allen Poe and his writings.

Our party grabbed a high top table, but that was tricky with our littlest, so we went outside to the patio. While in the winter they have some space heaters to make it more pleasant, they only cover a small amount of the patio. We were far from the only folks with kiddos (a lot of babies and toddlers around), which is why I was surprised I didn't see any high chairs or booster seats. Just be aware if you bring littles. I imagine the patio is probably a lot better in the warmer months, but be aware that there's not much indoor space in colder weather. The pizza was probably the best part of the visit. Their "plain" cheese, the "Formaggio" is a 5-cheese blend that we enjoyed, especially Child #1 and Child #3. We also enjoyed our pepperoni pizza (sorry, Child #2, no olives as a topping). My wife got the chicken tenders for Child #3 and they both shared it - said it was solid. My friends got the pretzels with their Jersey Pizza and the one piece I had was good - sweet and salty glaze; I just wish there were more to eat. The beers were okay. My wife and I are fond of sours, so we got the Peach Cobbler Sour and the Black Shadows wild ale. My wife commented how the peach cobbler sour was surprisingly bitter. The Black Shadows was quite funky. It's not for everyone but if you like wild/sour/funky beers, it's worth a try. Overall not bad.

And I love that they give back to the community in areas such as education, community and philanthropy. Stopped in this past Saturday with a bunch of my gym friends. I love that their tap list offers a little bit of everything for everyone, from classic lagers and IPA to house ciders. I am a Pilsner girl, so their Pilsner was my fave. I love that they do weekly events such as Trivia and open mic nights to name a few as well as host a few several food trucks out back. Oh and this is the spot where they have that really nice flea market as well. You have to check their Instagram page to see which food trucks will be serving food. Saturday they had empanadas from Aru Aru, which were very yummy and made fresh to order. Best spot if you are a beer connoisseur, great place for happy hours and is accommodating for large parties. Plus you bring your own cards and board games to play as well. I will so definitely return.

It WAS weird to see the brew tanks at the front of the old church, where the altar would have been. But it also places the beer on the altar of our Friday night so I was OK with that. I had an American Pale Ale, the husband had a Kolsch. My beer was exceptional and delicious. My husband said the kolsch was OK. They also have a cute space with books and board games! As well as a cool merchandise wall with excellent cool t-shirts. I had to restrain myself. There is no kitchen or food served here. Order at the bar and sit where you want, there are plenty of tables and a lot of elbow space. The folks at the bar are Super Nice and you should tip them well. They told me there is usually a food truck that shows up at an undisclosed time in the evening. We did order some fantastic pretzels (w/ smoked gouda) and waited some more but ultimately had to go find a meal elsewhere. We will be back, perhaps in warmer weather to wait out the food truck and have more beer. Also, we were there for happy hour so our beers were $5! We stopped by Pickett Brewing and the night we went, they had a band playing. The crowd was cool, the atmosphere was really good, and overall it was a nice vibe. The beer was good too, crisp and easy to drink. I've got to give Pickett a 4 out of 5 though because the bathroom situation was rough. How does a brewery only have one single bathroom for everybody, all genders included? That was easily the worst part of being there, standing in a long bathroom line at a brewery is not it. Please get a second bathroom!! Other than that, really cool spot with a good atmosphere and solid beer.

Music playing was sounded like someone personal playlist that I enjoyed listening to. Looks like they have dart boards in the back of the brewery. It's pretty large inside with some outside seating. A good place if you like beer. Plenty of brewery originals on tap.

I've done yoga here and it's great for it. I visited recently on a Saturday night and there was live music. The music was at a volume where conversation was not possible. There was also virtually no seating available, tho plenty of space to stand around. I got a flight but wasn't particularly interested in any of the beers. And I left shortly thereafter.
