Tasting Menu - $10/3 Sparkling or $8/4 Wines
    Stephanie S.

Absolutely STUNNING décor and grounds! I think the interior was my favourite thing about this vineyard. I read somewhere that Kew Vineyards specialises in Sparkling Wine. However, I found out that all of their items are dry. So they were just not to my palate. Sparkling Wines were slightly better than wines, Wines were just waaay too dry. Tasting was $10/3 Sparkling and $8/4 Wines (1 Sparkling was included), no nibbles. The gentleman who did our tasting was quite informative. I didn't find the young women there very friendly. They were a bit more stand-offish. Worth the stop ESPECIALLY if you're into the drier stuff!

One of the newly opened wineries in twenty valley area. Winery building was renovated victorian house. Pretty small tasting room was more like a small boutique. Very welcoming and cozy atmosphere. Outdoor seating area was full and packed with people. Staff greeted us and apologized that they don't have available seating area. We just did tasting on tasting area. I got hooked to their sparkling wine. So vibrant and refreshing. Lady who helped us tasting was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her business. Ended up buying few bottles from them. I'll be coming back here whenever I visit this region. If you like sparking, visit and taste their wines.

Here is what we got in 2 of the $20 picnic baskets.

This place is a hidden gem. I'm so glad we stopped here, it was my favourite part of our niagara-on-the-lake trip. This vineyard is technically in Lincoln, but on the way either TO Niagara-on-the-lake or BACK if you're coming from Toronto. We reserved one of the $20 picnic baskets (for 2 people). It was so delicious. 2 different kind of cheese, some salami, mustard in a mini mason jar, cheesy shortbread, delicious lavender toffees from a local company (which they sell in the shop). I'm sure the contents change often, so don't assume you'll have the same stuff. This is a beautiful renovated old house with a vineyard. I had the white sparkling wine ($10/glass) which was great. The woman who was working the day we went was super nice. I have no idea if she is the owner or not. I will be back for my next niagara-on-the-lake trip for sure.

Love the onion soup, cheese salad and chicken liver for appetizers. Main for fish and chips and sandwiches are good. Only the chips is a bit too salty. The steak is average. Pairing with the wine produced in the vineyard, I ordered mixed . They are $20 a flight with 3 wine. All of them are smooth and light. 1 is sparkled, 1 is orange light taste white wine. 1 is red wine. That day the service is slow. The servers are very friendly and keep apologizing for the delay of the food. There is parking outside the restaurant .

My two adult children have celiac disease, and the venue had been informed in advance that they required gluten-free meals. We were assured by the bride that they would receive gluten-free pasta. Instead, when everyone else was served pasta, my sons were given only salad. When I spoke with staff, I was told gluten-free pasta was not part of the contract and that none was available. I even offered to pay for an alternative meal myself, but the request was refused. Later, after dinner was essentially over and most of the table had been cleared, two bowls of gluten-free pasta suddenly appeared, suggesting there had been a misunderstanding that could have been resolved much earlier. No apology was offered. There was also an issue where several guests at our table did not receive any salad because too little was served, and when I politely raised the concern, the response was dismissive and unprofessional. Mistakes can happen at any venue, but how they are handled matters. What should have been a joyful family celebration was overshadowed by poor communication, a lack of accommodation for guests with a serious medical dietary requirement, and a disappointing level of customer service.

It was a little bit far from the other vineyards and there was no ice wine but they have a large menu of reds and whites available for tasting, as well as perhaps one or two rose wines. The pass allows each person to sample three wines of their choosing. We came here on a quiet Sunday afternoon in early January and between the four of us, managed to sample most of the wine menu. My husband was particularly fond of the "Steel Post" white wine, which is surprising, as he is typically a red white drinker, partial to oaky French wines. The grounds are simple, but rustically beautiful. They have plenty of picnic tables for sitting outside in the summer. The parking lot is gravel and mud so be prepared in the bad weather; our shoes got pretty messy just during the short walk from the car to the winery entrance. Note: for parents with kids, they do have a small table with coloring books and picture books. They do not have juices available for kids to drink (Peller Estates and Trius both do have grapes juices for children, or perhaps your designated driver, to drink)
