The place is in the vine yard and it has good vibes and clean setting. Menu is simple and I choose pre fix for $55 with appetizers, main and dessert. Love the onion soup, cheese salad and chicken liver for appetizers. Main for fish and chips and sandwiches are good. Only the chips is a bit too salty. The steak is average. Pairing with the wine produced in the vineyard, I ordered mixed . They are $20 a flight with 3 wine. All of them are smooth and light. 1 is sparkled, 1 is orange light taste white wine. 1 is red wine. That day the service is slow. Came here with my wife for lunch and we sat outdoors beside the gazebo, where a musician was singing and setting a relaxing vibe for the afternoon. It was the perfect atmosphere to enjoy some wine and great food. My wife ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and a glass of Riesling, while I went with Fielding's cherry cider, all refreshing choices! For lunch, she had the summer melon salad with prosciutto, which was light and flavorful, and I ordered the Good Earth burger, which was cooked perfectly and really hit the spot. The vineyard itself has a beautiful layout with both indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of parking, and lots of great spots for photos. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with delicious food, great drinks, and a laid-back setting. We'll definitely be coming back. read more

This time we shared a pizza special of the day and the pork chop. Both dishes were delicious. The pork chop was tender and well flavoured. Lovely meal at the Good Earth Winery and Restaurant. The place was quite busy over the holidays. There are two rooms for indoor dining. The main dining room and the solarium. The solarium is so wonderful as it is glassed in and gives a great view of the vineyard. Being all glassed in, however, it does get loud in there when really busy. Food is always wonderful and the service friendly and knowledgeable. We had the mushroom soup to start. Was sooo good. And then we had the Steak Frites and a Burger. Both excellent and the frites are so crispy and still have the skin on. We were so full we couldn't manage dessert, but we did have coffee which came in a French Press. Fabulous! We were in the area for a day to check out the historic Grimsby Beach 'Painted Ladies' and were referred to Good Earth for lunch. I took a look at their IG account, website and menu, plus reviewed other Yelp reviews, like I always do, and immediately made a reservation! They were nearly totally booked except for the 2:30 pm timeframe, so I took it. When we arrived we were struck by the really beautiful and romantic setting, all the flowers, the orderly and lush vineyard, the modern building, and the lovely outdoor seating under a pergola hung with lights, where every table had real napkins and fresh flowers. We were a few minutes early, but as luck would have it, the traffic from Toronto (where most of the diners were coming from) was so bad that most of the other diners were late for their reservations, so we were able to be seated upon arrival and got a really great table overlooking the vineyard and garden. Our server, Sue, was awesome. Knowledgable, attentive, and friendly. We really enjoyed being her customers. She also helped us out with some recommendations for kayaking locally and for other places to eat for dinner. The food was IMPECCABLE. Fresh, local, beautiful, delicious, in season...the pea salad was a true thing of beauty, bursting with so much flavor! The marinated strawberries mixed with the goat cheese and chili crisp - wow. A revelation! We shared that and our main, which was a perfectly cooked sirloin steak, sliced, with a side of roasted radicchio (a whole head!) on top of a creamy potato puree, then topped with a salsa verde. Great textures and again, so fresh and flavor-FULL! We accompanied our meal with a local hard cider and a glass of rose, then had dessert: the sponge cake smothered in fresh whipped cream with fresh blueberries and peach, and a green topping which tasted like a basil-flavored olive oil. It was deceptively light, and the fruit flavor really came through. Even that description does not adequately express what a fabulous experience this was - my husband said I should say we both had 'food-gasms' lol. First time here and the food was delicious For appetizers we tried the Burrata & Melon and Caesar Salad. The Burrata was so tasty with the chilli sauce on top of the toast prosciutto paired with Viognier wine For our main we had the Seared Scallops and Atlantic Halibut. Both were cooked just right !!! And was amazing We wanted to try their wood fired oven pizza, Pork belly bechamel cream sauce pizza with sriracha sauce on top. We didn't enjoy the sriracha on top so we asked our server, Thomas, to re do it and he happily accommodated our request. The second pizza came with the sriracha on the side and it was delicious, paired with Pinot Noir wine We finish our dinner with chocolate Pot de Crème Over all, the food we ordered was really good and the service was outstanding. The menu though limited but has a nice theme of Earth to Table and changed seasonally. There is also wine pairing suggesting to each course or the waitstaff would give you some suggestion. Had to update everyone on how great TGE STILL is! We went there on a thunderstorm-type day, so between the weather and Covid there were fewer tables available. However, the food is still fantastic and fresh, the servers are still friendly and fun, and the ambience is still wild and wonderful! We enjoyed a burger, featured soup, featured pizza, and an absolutely delicious blueberry and peach crumble. We had their famous tasty Aria Rosé with lunch followed by a great cup of French press coffee! Just like they always are, the focus is on the food AND making sure the little things are done right. We were sitting outside next to the wood-fired oven when it started to rain. The staff quickly helped everyone outside move their food and beverages under cover of their patio or inside. It's a farm to table restaurant and the ingredients and always fresh and unique. The menu is quite seasonal and they always have great daily specials. The prices are always great given the quality of the food. Save some room for dessert as they are equally as good. If you order a bottle of wine, you can bring what you haven't finished home with you. They have a beautiful covered patio for nice days. One of my favorite places to have a meal when on a wine tour with friends. Great patio space even in the autumn because there are blankets and wine to keep the chill out. Wonderful service during the wine tasting, having a meal or just picking up some jam. The menu changes seasonally, but I've never had anything I didn't like. After dropping by a few wineries, we got a few recommendation for lunch and decided to give Good Earth Bistro a try. Half store selling wines and things like homemade preserve... the other half was the bistro which look incredible homey.... as we were eating, the place filled up pretty fast given that it was a Thursday. Since we couldn't decide which wine to order, the lady kindly gave us a quick tasting (^_^) We end up ordering a glass each and i love the Betty's Blend which was 50% Chardonnay, 25% Riesling and 25% Sauvignon Blanc with a very balance note of citrus and floral notes.... very crisp and fresh after a lot of red wine tasting we had. Oh and don't you love the pink bottle ;) Vintner's Platter $14 ~ Foie Gras Pâté Brûlée, Duck Rillette & Game Pâté ~ Did I need to say more other than foie gras pâté brûlée... so good, the sugar crust was very thin and on the burnt side which sweetness didn't overwhelm the foie gras taste. Food was still good but not great this time however... It wasn't obvious when we were seated but we were unluckily given the worst table on the patio, in fact it shouldn't be there at all. Right behind my back is where the food comes out from the kitchen and two or three staff congregated, so close I was bumped into, so close they even joined our conversation. The other three sides were absolute serving-freeways to many sections of the patio. The tasting area for wines cannot accommodate more than 8-10 people at a time. The layout of the place suggests that the focus is on the food more than the wine. I loved this beautiful winery! The gardens are gorgeous, the open air kitchen and patio overlooking said gardens was delightful. There was live music for our lunch and the lunch was fantastic! Being quite hungry from a morning of a massage and wine tasting my fellow yelper friend and I had reservations at this charming spot. This menu features as much local produce and meat as it can get and on a hot day in August you're getting the best our region has to offer. We shared a few plates - starting with this bowl of perfectly cooked frites paired with 3 delectable dips - a tzatziki kind of dip which I found surprisingly good, a chipotle ketchup and an alioli that was our favourite. I paired this first course with a dry and bright tasting rose - that I then purchased on the way out and drank with a family dinner the next night! We then shared a cheese plate and salad. The salad was good, nothing amazing but perfectly dressed with vinagrette, lovely green beans and some warm brie - you can't go wrong with that combo. The cheese plate had at least four kinds with accompanying jams, nuts, and spreads. We weren't done there. I ordered a pinot noir and my friend tried the gamay - we both enjoyed our selections as we attempted to split a pizza - perhaps the BEST marguerita pizza I have ever eaten. It shouldn't be hard to do a good marguerita pizza and yet I'm often disappointed. We watched the chef toss the dough himself in the open air kitchen, they grew the basil, got the cheese from a local cheese shop, the tomato sauce was sweet and the bit of fleur de sel on top made this mouth watering pizza a total hit. Needless to say we didn't have room for dessert but there were about 4 options all of which sounded delicious and I'm not a huge dessert fan. The burgers on the table next to us looked out of this world and everyone we saw looked very content with their choices. There is a cooking school on site which would be fun to try. Good wines, good food, with a beautiful backdrop - highly recommend a visit here on your next Niagara trip. They have quite a few vegetarian options as well - including a falafel plate that I hope to try on my next visit because I will be back!! read more

On a hot day in the Niagara area this small winery and, more importantly their restaurant, was a welcomed surprise. We were focused on food and we found what we were looking for. For such a small winery it has a rather large restaurant with indoor and patio seating. It benefits from being associated with an onsite cooking school. Their lunchtime creations were outstanding. Smoked shaved local pork in one dish. Scallops, avocado and lime in the other. Both accented with nasturtium flowers. The scenery at this winery and bistro is absolutely gorgeous. I was considering giving this place an additional star just because of the beautiful setting. In the good weather you sit in an open-air covered patio amongst grape vines, fruit trees and lovely flower. On the day we were there they happened to have a young kid performing all of our favourite 90's songs acoustically -- perhaps something you might not expect at a winery. We were loving it and could have sat there with the breeze and the music forever. The food was decent, but some dishes were a bit more expensive and they did not blow us away. The bread was good enough, but it cost $10. Again, the Cobb salad was ok, but this cost $20. If we were blown away by either, I would not have thought twice about the price. The fact is, they weren't exceptional and in this part of the world you are typically served bread at no charge. The turkey burger was fine, although, it was served with some of the best sweet potato fries we have ever had. Finally, we ordered a flatbread Caprese pizza. It too was fine with some fresh toppings, but it was a bit bready. Finally, the deep fried cherry-filled wontons served with spiced dulce de lece were pretty phenomenal. So, this is a pretty spot with a few winning dishes, but you are not going to remember the place for the food. read more

A combination restaurant, winery, cooking school and kitchen store, the Good Earth is a great place to stop and refuel body and mind. Nicolette Novak has fashioned a destination after her own personality, full of charm, occasionally quirky, and always entertaining. The winery offers a selection of wines designed to interact with the local fare. I am particularly fond of their Riesling, but you can decide what you like for yourself. There are plenty of great kitchen items for sale as well, clearly selected for practical application by someone who actually works in a kitchen, not just chosen for looks. We purchased a couple of trays that have already proven their versatility. The restaurant is excellent. While small, the menu changes frequently and features locally grown (as in on the property!) foods. We had the winter rainbow salad, a salad featuring seared root vegetables with a delicious dressing - awesome! I had the Urban Shepherd`s Pie, a surprisingly fabulous vegetarian take on a classic that is so rich you wouldn`t know it was vegetarian unless they told you. Finally we had the pulled pork tacos, served on deep fried tortillas, which tasted great but made the eating more messy than usual. Stop by and get in the swing of things here by trying something new. I think you`ll find that like so many others, you will enjoy it immensely! read more

The patio was 90% vacant but young male waitor told us they are expecting a big group and the only table available is the one in the sun. We have a 10 month old baby so this is not an option. Went there on Aug 29. Very poor service at the wine tasting bar. The guy there didn't offer much help or guidance as to which wines we should try. Didn't seem to have much knowledge or want to portray the information about the winery. Had to basically pry the info out of him. Of all the wineries I have visited in niagara, prince edward county, simcoe or Windsor this is top 3 worst. Strange tasting system in which 3 wines are chosen for you and you must choose from the categories instead of whatever wines you want Might have been a better experience if a different person served us but as it stands I will likely not go back read more

Nicolette was a pleasure to speak to, and her love for her family and the winery was heartwarming. The tasting room is lovely and bright, and though I didn't get to try anything at the bistro, the seating area looked so inviting. Definitely planning on spending a spring afternoon there! Beautiful place! Lovely staff and the food was wonderful. The reason I am not giving all 5 stars is the owner was very rude to me and my family. Her place came recommended by an acquaintance of hers, which is why we chose her vineyard to visit. One look at my two boys, 11 & 8, and the first thing out of her mouth was that "you have to keep your children under control" - I realize not all establishments welcome children as they can be loud and out of hand. She also commented that there were Coyotes on the property and to be careful. However, my boys had not even crossed the threshold before she dismissed us onto a wait staff and told us the only thing available to us was lunch. I also realize people can have a bad day, and for that I don't want to ding the overall rating of this place. It is beautiful. I love and support everything it stands for...I was just trying to show my boys how a little bit of love and passion can be turned into not a only a job, but a way of life. read more

And after waiting a long time to take order, then forgetting to put in our order, and then bringing us the wrong dish, some sort of a make-good was in order...but was not offered. As for wine: hit & miss. Rose was reasonably good, and so was their pinot noir. Gewurtztraminer tasted more like a Riesling and the cab franc was ok. This place has a nice atmosphere but needs to some homework. read more

This place is amazing!! The food is so delicious and different then anything you would regularly eat in a restaurant. I had the barley risotto with fried cheese on top and there was nothing I would change about this place. The view is amazing and it feels so homey and cute.
