    Coffee in French Press
    Elle G.

Lovely meal at the Good Earth Winery and Restaurant. The place was quite busy over the holidays. There are two rooms for indoor dining. The main dining room and the solarium. The solarium is so wonderful as it is glassed in and gives a great view of the vineyard. Being all glassed in, however, it does get loud in there when really busy. Food is always wonderful and the service friendly and knowledgeable. We had the mushroom soup to start. Was sooo good. And then we had the Steak Frites and a Burger. Both excellent and the frites are so crispy and still have the skin on. We were so full we couldn't manage dessert, but we did have coffee which came in a French Press. Fabulous! Do go and try if you haven't been. PS can highly recommend their charcuterie board (we've had before).

Pea salad with goat cheese, chili crisp and strawberries

We were in the area for a day to check out the historic Grimsby Beach 'Painted Ladies' and were referred to Good Earth for lunch. I took a look at their IG account, website and menu, plus reviewed other Yelp reviews, like I always do, and immediately made a reservation! They were nearly totally booked except for the 2:30 pm timeframe, so I took it. When we arrived we were struck by the really beautiful and romantic setting, all the flowers, the orderly and lush vineyard, the modern building, and the lovely outdoor seating under a pergola hung with lights, where every table had real napkins and fresh flowers. We were a few minutes early, but as luck would have it, the traffic from Toronto (where most of the diners were coming from) was so bad that most of the other diners were late for their reservations, so we were able to be seated upon arrival and got a really great table overlooking the vineyard and garden. Our server, Sue, was awesome. Knowledgable, attentive, and friendly. We really enjoyed being her customers. She also helped us out with some recommendations for kayaking locally and for other places to eat for dinner. The food was IMPECCABLE. Fresh, local, beautiful, delicious, in season...the pea salad was a true thing of beauty, bursting with so much flavor! The marinated strawberries mixed with the goat cheese and chili crisp - wow. A revelation! We shared that and our main, which was a perfectly cooked sirloin steak, sliced, with a side of roasted radicchio (a whole head!) on top of a creamy potato puree, then topped with a salsa verde. Great textures and again, so fresh and flavor-FULL! We accompanied our meal with a local hard cider and a glass of rose, then had dessert: the sponge cake smothered in fresh whipped cream with fresh blueberries and peach, and a green topping which tasted like a basil-flavored olive oil. It was deceptively light, and the fruit flavor really came through. Even that description does not adequately express what a fabulous experience this was - my husband said I should say we both had 'food-gasms' lol. I cannot wait to eat here again and am already planning our next visit.

First time here and the food was delicious For appetizers we tried the Burrata & Melon and Caesar Salad. The Burrata was so tasty with the chilli sauce on top of the toast prosciutto paired with Viognier wine For our main we had the Seared Scallops and Atlantic Halibut. Both were cooked just right !!! And was amazing We wanted to try their wood fired oven pizza, Pork belly bechamel cream sauce pizza with sriracha sauce on top. We didn't enjoy the sriracha on top so we asked our server, Thomas, to re do it and he happily accommodated our request. The second pizza came with the sriracha on the side and it was delicious, paired with Pinot Noir wine We finish our dinner with chocolate Pot de Crème Over all, the food we ordered was really good and the service was outstanding. We recommend this winery to everyone

This review is based on my lunch experience at The Good Earth Wine and Bistro. The set up and decor of this place is just so cute. Especially if you are into cottage and country vibe. The menu though limited but has a nice theme of Earth to Table and changed seasonally. There is also wine pairing suggesting to each course or the waitstaff would give you some suggestion. Good Earth Bruléed Honey Chicken Liver Parfait: Pear Chutney, Pickles, Crispy Chicken Skin, Pickled Mustard Seeds, Baguette ($15) Highlight of my lunch: Brulee Chicken Liver Parfait was so good! So rich and creamy! Great balance between savory, sweet and sour! And the chicken skin was just yummy! Vegan Mushroom Melt: Vegan Patty, Vegan Cheddar, Roasted Portobello, Pickled Jalapeño, Mixed Green Salad ($24) Vegan Burger? I do love mushrooms. Not my pick but I glad I tried that. Pumpkin Cheesecake: Salted Rosemary Caramel, Candied Pepitas, Graham Cracker, Chantilly Cream ($12) Deconstructed version: rich and creamy There were only 3 tables including us on a November afternoon. The atmosphere was cozy and service was attentive. The solarium area though was not heated and closed. So for best experience, you probably need to come here during the warmer months.

Quaint, warm, rustic and friendly restaurant. Food and wine pairing was delicious. My favorite was the mushroom soup (not pictured) and the main dishes were amazing. Perfect wine tasting lunch spot.

A fresh, solid beef burger with fries I shouldn't eat, despite how good they were lol!

Had to update everyone on how great TGE STILL is! We went there on a thunderstorm-type day, so between the weather and Covid there were fewer tables available. However, the food is still fantastic and fresh, the servers are still friendly and fun, and the ambience is still wild and wonderful! We enjoyed a burger, featured soup, featured pizza, and an absolutely delicious blueberry and peach crumble. We had their famous tasty Aria Rosé with lunch followed by a great cup of French press coffee! Just like they always are, the focus is on the food AND making sure the little things are done right. We were sitting outside next to the wood-fired oven when it started to rain. The staff quickly helped everyone outside move their food and beverages under cover of their patio or inside. Here's a great tip: eat next to the outdoor oven! It makes transitioning to a covered area very easy. Thanks TGE staff, you're the greatest for a wonderful lunch experience!!

Delicious food, reasonably priced wine, attentive but relaxed service on a beautiful patio set within a vineyard for a Saturday lunch. What more could you want? One more thing made it even better: the live music. The musical duo performing today played a low-key, melodic set, including hits from Elton John through Crowed House and Mama Kas. We had the pasta and pizza of the day, a bottle of red (big fork) and a dessert for a little over $100 before tip. For the experience, well worth it!

Scallops were out of this world. Love this place!

This restaurant has become a regular spot for my girlfriend and I when we go down to the area. The food is always out of this world. It's a farm to table restaurant and the ingredients and always fresh and unique. The menu is quite seasonal and they always have great daily specials. The prices are always great given the quality of the food. Save some room for dessert as they are equally as good. If you order a bottle of wine, you can bring what you haven't finished home with you. They have a beautiful covered patio for nice days. Make sure to make a reservation as this place fills up for lunch.

one of the most beautiful space ive been to for dining! awesome lunch spot during the summer season! i loooooved the garden view. it was absolutely beautiful! the summer sun cast a lovely shade of warmth on top and it was super photogenic. food was also very good! nothing out of the ordinary but it was prepared very well and definitely tasted scrumptious! we didn't try the wine.. we couldn't consume anymore at that point and desperately needed food in our tummy lol it was super relaxing though. i would def recommend this spot! hopefully i get to return in the future!

One of my favorite places to have a meal when on a wine tour with friends. Great patio space even in the autumn because there are blankets and wine to keep the chill out. Wonderful service during the wine tasting, having a meal or just picking up some jam. The menu changes seasonally, but I've never had anything I didn't like. Sometimes they have special events and are closed to the public, so good idea to check and make reservations ahead of time.

One of my favourite wineries. All the wines are great and the tasting is wonderful. The food at the bistro is incredible, we had the asparagus salad (it's the season) and the roasted cod. Both were amazing. I would highly recommend this winery if you are passing through the area or as a destination on its own.

The staff is super knowledgable and you can tell they are passionate about their work. They have seated tastings. I have always done my tastings inside their tasting room, I am not sure it works outside. My girlfriend wanted to try some of their sparklings. After hearing in detail the explanation on what to expect with all 5 of the options, she decided she wanted to try them all. They were very accommodating with this since they usually only do a tasting of 3. Throughout our tasting the lady kept checking on us, asking if we had any questions or if we needed anything else. Some Spice Girls conversations were had and we left very happy with some bottles of French style sparklings.

I had stopped by Dillon's, and asked if…read morethey recommended any local wineries and they advised me to check out this place for good quality wines at a decent price (most bottles range from $18-35). I was so happy to discover this place! The grounds are beautifully kept with a nice garden, the vineyard, a historic house (where there is a gorgeous tasting room and boutique -- a very 'French country' vibe), and a lovely shaded patio. There is a lot of space to spread out and relax. Wine tasting is $5 (for 3 samples) or $10 (for 3 samples + cheese board). Everyone seemed to be going for the latter, which included fresh baguette with herbes de provence olive oil, a sheep's milk cheddar and a gruyere cheese. Definitely worth it! They give you a list of their wines to choose from, as well as a sheet where you can take notes. Definitely appreciated. The young woman who served us was lovely. Very warm, friendly and able to provide a lot of descriptions about the wines. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel welcome and this is a place to relax and take your time enjoying the different wines. They do a couple sparkling wines which were quite refreshing, as well as a really unique Marsanne - super light and great for summer. I will definitely return when I'm passing through the area. This has been one of my favourite wine tasting experiences in Ontario (comparing to NOTL and PEC).
